@kswifts1 Mitt Romney is a Liberal acting like a Republican conservative but much of the base rejects Mitt Romney. Santorum is taking part of the conservative vote away from Newt and he is having trouble beating Mitt for that reason. Conservatives have to pick either Newt or Santorum. They can't have both.

The Nazi's are far left wing in american polotics, but if looked at realistically, (Left to right extreams on the side going towards the center) then they are right wing, but only slightly. Their are commonly accepted international left/right lines. (Dead center tends to be socialism, far left communism, far right capitalism)

Their is no GOOD standard for placing any political idea on a chart. It's better to study the different political ideas and then come up with what you like best.

@pcgamernum1 Yep. For example, true centre means a very different thing here in America than it did 10 or 20 years ago, and it means a very different thing from what it means in the UK, or France. Political categorization is further complicated by the establishment of different axes (think Nolan Chart), as well as the tendency for extremists in the far left and far right to agree on some otherwise "fringe" issues - the political circle.
