  • Why is everybody talking about MLK Jr. Yes!!! he was in a fraternity but that doesnt mean its ok to do what he did. Maybe if he knew some of this stuff that these good christians are are trying to inform us about, I bet he wouldnt have joined one either. Just Cause some great leaders joined sororities or fraternities, yall think its ok, smdh. I wouldnt give my heart, my soul, my NOTHING to anyone else but God.!

  • wow!!!! I found it very interesting that we(as believers) are so quick to come to defense of a cult than when someone slanders your God! The Bible says my people perish from the lack of knowledge............satan will never come to someone wanting to pledge in a sorority and say we openly serve idol gods, so what he does is dress it up in sisterhood, feeding the hungry, and doing good deeds but the fact remains these cults are founded on worshipping pagan gods.

  • Preach!

  • I had to come back again and comment, because EVERYTHING in this video was on point! Everything. If some would actually research where and who the foundations were built on, it's pagan gods. God tells us to choose this day who we will serve. You can't say you're a Christian and then join in the festivities of those who's purpose of the 'hood was to worship pagan gods.

Nothing should have to be done in secret. GOD doesn't keep His Word secret.

  • Great Points! Nice video! I totally agree with you on this, and I'm sure it can be hard for some. I was just talking about this the other day.

  • Peace & Blessings to you, my Sister... As a fellow believer (and, by the way, an active member of a fraternity), I disagree with some of your analysis. I do, however, commend you for speaking your heart and sharing your opinions. We, in the body of Christ, must speak boldly & while we may sometimes disagree, we should never be violently disagreeable. A great Christian leader and man of God, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., once said those words. And, yeah, he was also in a fraternity. God Bless U!

  • @DaPharaoh06 COOL! All I'm saying is this..You say you are a Christian & an Active Member of (I'm assuming) a Secular Fraternity...You know whether or not your Frat promotes A life of Holiness. And if that Fraternity is Not About YOUR FATHERS BUSINESS, then why pay your $750 to pledge and go through that whole process..Everything we put our time, money & effort into should be about Kingdom Business..Was Big Brother Jesus spending his time on Earth sewing into FLESH or sewing into the Kingdom??

  • @LaLa910 MLK was a Cleaaaarly a COOL DUDE TOO; However I could care less if he (as a Major Leader in the African American Community) was apart of one too, That doesn't give Us the Okay to do things because he did them and said he was a Christian...FOLLOW people as they Follow Christ.

  • @LaLa910 By your standard, if we are to do ONLY as Christ did if we are to truely call ourselves Christians, than how can you justify attending a college (Jesus didn't have a B.A.), or posting on YouTube (Jesus didn't have wi-fi). My point is this: Your view of Chrisitanity is just that - your view. In my view it's a rather narrow view, but again that's just my opinion. But to paint an entire org as evil because you disagree with certain aspects of it, to me, is excessive & extreme.

  • @DaPharaoh06 No its not true

The Bible saying in all your getting, get understanding! She is going to college for the Goal of gaining more knowledge ( The bible said my people perish for lack of knowledge! ) Don't come with some half baked pitch to deceptively support her but question her easy to understand actions. The fact that you have named your self DaPharoah explains the source of your many questions and thinking!

  • @LaLa910 We must be careful, My Sister, not to become so heavenly minded that we become no Earthly good. There is a such thing as fundamentalist religiousity masquerading as faith. Consider that u attend an HBCU rather than attending an overtly "christian college". Does that make u are "evil"? Certainly not. Are you about "Your Father's business" as you see it? Absolutely! I'm merely saying, don't be so quick to damn an entire group of people just because they don't say "Jesus" every 5 minutes.

  • @DaPharaoh06 to the one your posting to : Sister Don't mind what folks are saying you are on point! You have eyes to see and ears to hear and a mind that has came and reasoned with Christ! Challenge these spirits to see if they are in fact of God!

  • @LaLa910 MLK, Jr. was a bit more than just a cool dude. He sacrificed himself for what he believed. He was a footsoldier for justice. But he also had his shortcomings and made his mistakes. That's precisely my point. One can be both redeemed & be a sinner. One can be both a tremendous force for good & be tremendously flawed. We are called as Christians to be LIKE Christ, but we can't be Christ. I'm merely saying, we judge a tree by the fruit it bears & not by the fruit we'd like it to bear.

  • @DaPharaoh06 Focus on Christ as he was far better example than MLK Jr or any so called leader in the world!

  • @LaLa910 With all due respect, your argument is built on a premise that assumes cannot be a member of an organization or group that doesn't promote an overtly Christian message if one is a Christian. That seems rather narrowminded.

  • @DaPharaoh06 As a Christian, I find it Necessary to be Narrowminded towards many worldly things. Call me that if you must...Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it....You know whether or Not your Frat is about your Fathers Business...God is not a Priority, he's the Priority. God should get the glory out of everything we do

  • @DaPharaoh06 She is not your sister! Because you said your an active member of a Frat! So don't come at her with the salutation My Sister. Of course your going to Quote Martin Luther King .Jr he also was part of a brother hood! Why don't you Quote Christ instead!

  • I always read from original king james. no translation modifications or nothing. a doctor at my school (morgan) gave me a original King james version with an outlined study. those can be expensive. but before that I just studied an old original king james with my strongs concordance.

  • good job

  • Thanks for sharing

  • I am not a part of a sorority or fraternity but I am a christian and I have family members who are not evenly yoked with me but bc we as christians r not evenly yoked with alot of ppl, we should not judge, As the body of Christ should---I believe that some ppl are drawn to these organizations to draw others to Christ..Some ppl r lead by God to do so. U cannot speak for all christians ..nd originally these orgs were founded upon great ideas but over time some ppl began takin it out of proportion

  • @wisdomchild24 What do you mean when you say judge? We as Christians were given authority to "Check" our other Christian brothers & sisters but not to condemn people to hell (in that sense of judging). When I give my opinion about this subject I don't expect for all Christ Followers to listen and Obey, however when I am clearly repeating what's in the Bible I do...Also, like I said before, One does not have to join to lead others to Christ.

  • And one final thing. The greatest brotherhood I ever felt was from my church back home, but I didn't join my fraternity to replace that family. I joined the organization because I respect what they have done for our people. BGLO are apart of Black History. And it is a beautiful thing to see brothers from all different walks of life come together not under a religious belief or a political party.

  • @omenone2000 Ok Clearly, People have missed the purpose of this video. CHRISTIANS & PLEDGING...Not focusing on Non-Christians, because their Standards of Living are Totally Different, But How "I" FEEL about the matter & what the "BIBLE" SAYS ABOUT IT...

  • Videos like these prove how ignorant Black people are about themselves. Just like we are a people of different shades and colors, we are people of different religious backgrounds. But based off the scriptures you misquoted you are telling us a Baptist, a 7day Adventist, Jehovah's Witness, Jew, Muslim, Atheist cannot all come together to help uplift their community because they are not equally yoked in the Lord? These orgs weren't made to take the place of your faith.

  • To my Christian people who think members of the D9 have satanic meetings all the time praying to false gods, this is just no true. I'm a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and the brotherhood goes beyond race, class and religion. the brotherhood is formed by the experiences each brother shares with one another. These 'secret' meetings you hear about are meetings to organize events, fund raise, and help their community and themselves on and off campus.

  • someone made a statement saying that churches have secrets just like greek organizations. This is false because the church is open to all who wish to come forth and is not all like a greek letter organization who shares very little info with outsiders. I hope that people can see the difference.

  • @SHEEDY5618 What church do you go to? How many members of the church can attend church board or deacon/elder meetings? Not the general body and certainly not a stranger. This is just like BGLO. We service the community. We do events in the community. And we uplift our community whether you agree or not. But when its time to plan, create, and market we do that in private, just like a store, company, university or church. These people are not devil worshipers, they are people just like you and I.

  • I read the whole bible and when I finished it, I was an Atheist. Read it ALL like I did....the genocides, the slavery, the encouraged child rape, the stonings for disobedient children, the digusting incest , the polygamy endorsements. The filth from that "god" or "jesus" as most would say just goes on and on and on.... It's so repulsive!

  • LaLa910, thank you for sharing about this topic. Jesus convicted me of my tie to a BGLO and I had to come out. I want to worship Jesus in Spirit and in Truth and will do so by the power of the Holy Ghost. The counterfit of BGLOs has to be exposed. Thank you for sharing the word of God on YT!!! God Bless You!

  • well to be truthful u must know what it says in the greek to be able to give the right advice. we say alot about soroities and fraternities having secrets but if we look at the word clandestine it basiclly means done in secret but are not churches in done in secret. because if u are not a member i dont think that your going 2 know every bit of any church just like peoples houses unless u live in that houes ur not going 2 know everything going on in that houes. so we must study first then speak

  • @J2415tv Church is not a secret society---& I know enough about secular secret societies through my research, interviews, as well as observations to realize that it's not for me, as a woman of God. It's not about you accepting my views (because some of it is my personal opinion) but it's about being OBEDIENT to the word of God. So Let's not forget what is important---->The scriptures! {Once again, which scriptures have I manipulated?}

  • @LaLa910 i will say it like this we dont have a heaven or hell to put anyone in so if that is your thoughts then i can respect that as long as your willing to respect everyone elses and thats the most important i can spend time going into what scriptures are saying but what they say to you may not be what they say to me its based off of interpretation

  • question what theology school did you go to again? and how many greek or hebrew classes have you taken?

  • @J2415tv I didn't know one needed to be an ordained minister to share the gospel of JC...I could see if I was making this stuff up, but I'm not...Read the text.

  • @LaLa910 by no means am i saying that you do all i am saying is one needs to really understand the text and make sure its saying what they think its saying before saying anything

  • @J2415tv Ok, so, what other ways can one interpret the scriptures that I read or stated?

  • so basically you can't be brothers and sister with people who are of different religions.

"all Christians strugle with these things"

WOW, yeah you really are struggling, not the ones being discriminated against for their beliefs.

  • @MrBlackfish011 To answer your question No, We are Not brothers and sister with those who are of different religions...

  • sister you are RIGHT! RIGHT ON THE MONEY...

I have fam in the divine nine and also in the masonic order.

Love the natural hair and frames by the way. LOVE IT!!!!! Keep preaching truth.

  • When people join these lettered organization they should know what they walk into, or have an expectation. I believe that greek lettered organizations are a great of networking and a chance to come together in sisterly and brotherly love. No you do not have to belong to an certain organization to have a sisterly or brotherly bond. But somtimes it may take that for us to become as one. One should do their research on greeklife, not just doing hearing and seeing selected material

  • by the way i love my greek and christian brothers/sisters and i still worship the lord. its time people incorporate the word COEXIST into their vocabulary. remember christianity is not the only religion or the one true religion in the world. FREE YOUR MINDS!

  • its funny how we can use the bible when it suits our needs. i am a christian, yet i am open minded. the two can co-exist! a lot of the remarks that have been posted are coming from very closed minded individuals. everyone has to remember that everything said in these comments are opinion based. nothing is presented as factual. if so, please show me the facts. everyone just needs TO DO what makes them happy. you only have one life to live. live it to the best of YOUR ability not someone else's.

  • second, please do not quote me any scriptures or biblical verses. youtube is not the place for it, and if you desire to do so, then you should do so to the individuals that need your prayers and scripture readings, i.e.:correctional facilities, foster homes, rehab centers, juvenile detention centers, homeless shelters, etc. if you are someone who likes to quote verses, do it at these institutions, they need it. if you have not done so, then dont quote them on youtube.

  • @blackerotika The word of God is for the edification of Christians & it is a two-edged sword that cuts out all the mess that is in us that displeases Christ if you let it. But if you remain hard hearted & stiff necked against God you become fruitless and the seed of the word of God will not spring up in you to bring life. Finally, YouTube is the perfect place to share scriptures and biblical verses because there are A LOT of people viewing YT videos who DESPERATELY need the conviction of them!

  • i am a chrisitian and a member of a BGLO. and i made the decision to join my organization with the help of My Lord and Savior. so it bothers me when other christians, attack BGLO's. First off, if you are not a MEMBER of one:(ex or other), then you cannot bash, comment, or make disturbing remarks about something you do not, or will try not to make the effort to understand! so please if you dont have anything intellectual or factual to say, then just let it be.

  • @blackerotika I decided that as a Christian I could not actively support the BGLO that I joined. JESUS is the only one that deserves all of my devotion...not the idol god that is attached to the sorority. Satan provided the proper catch to keep Christians entangeled in BGLOs with the "founded on Christian principles" phrase. Something that is founded on the Rock, Jesus Christ, truly represents him and develops maturity in Christ. Instead BGLOs look less & less like Christ as the years go by!

  • PREACH! @blackerotika

  • Okay, this has gotten way outta hand. Everyone that has made a comment to this subject is an American citizen, I'm assuming. Every American has recited the Pledge Of Allegiance. As an American, you have been endowed with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happines. You can make any choice, any decision, you want. Its called Freedom. With that said, if you wish to take part in a BGLO, then that is your business and no one else's. U have the right and freedom to make those decision free from bias'

  • interesting love your spirit!!! I feel you and the reality a person who pledges who and what are they pledging to? IDK now I have friends who are apart of sorority and fraternity and they club party and love God but they have that two God syndrome... lol

  • I'm a former member of a greek organization....and I applaud you for taking a stand against one of the greatest forms of deceit the enemy is using to fool and derail our generation. Especially those that have decided that they want to make a postitve difference in this world...... On not one of the greek websites will you find that any of the greek organizations are God ordained, created for the purpose of being a tool to upbuild the kingdome of God or spread the gospel of Christ.

  • speaking of being christian, cover up that body, my goodness. Because you are very attractive, and I'm trying to train my eyes to be good. I have to take you off the screen.

  • Great Video!

  • Good video & thanks for giving scripture. I'm torn as well because I'm a freshman and I'm looking forward to pledging next year. This is hard to make a decision =/

  • "There are many professional people (outside the college realm) that take oaths yet, these people are not demon filled idol worshipers. I belong to an organization and I've never made my org. take the place of God."

  • i think you are right. Im 15 and i have been debating for years about this. I can still make friends and be apart of the school with out going against God. I wanted to be an AKA but i rather sacrifice my desires. Thanks again. Maybe i can join a dance team or something. Or maybe something to be active

  • But what most members of BGLO's can't tell you, eventhough it is right in their own history books is that many if not all of their "Founders" were members of Freemasonry or Eastern Star and their org's are based on this especially their rituals and oaths. It's true. So the obvious Freemasonry influence on BGLO's is quite obvious to people who have "researched"..

  • Now what are the principles behind "Mason" and "Eastern Star", if BGLO's were based on those organizations. Let's go to the source: On of the most respected "HIGH" ranking masons tells us what Freemasonry are about. Page 404 of the, Lexicon of Freemasonry;

"If Jesus is only an opinion with so little regard to the Masonic fraternity, why do so many Christians bind themselves into covenant relationship with the god of Freemasonry referred to as the Great Architect of the Universe?"

  • Christanity IS NOT BASED on "Lies", "Hazing", and "Secrecy". So stop calling these org's "Christian Based". And for those who will say "The Founders Didn't Haze", thats another lie! Just because I say that I am a Christian, because I am a "founder" of a greek org means absolutely nothing. These founders were errored if they assumed that you could serve two masters, Christianity and Masonry. Masonry and Eastern Star are the "Principles" all BGLO's are based on , fact!

  • Thank you so much for this...I struggled with this but you explained it very well

  • u r absolutely beautiful. i know u hear that alot :) and dont worry all this bad and crazy stuff, just u stay away from that stuff. be safe my luv.

  • I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and have been a member for over five years, I've also been a Christian for eleven years now. Yes, I am a Greek but I don't nor will I ever condone or support the things of the world. I never participated in sex, wild parties, smoking, and drinking.

  • My Sister In CHRIST!!

U Are Absolutely Right. Don't Mind Ppl Who Support Greek Life. They have Been Decieved By The Enemy To Think That What They Are Apart Of Is Okay. When In Reality It Is Very Wrong. It Says In The Bible In Matthew 5:33-37 That Christians Are NOT To Swear!! & Anyone Who Knows Anything About Greek Organizations Know That Anyone Who Pledges Or Becomes A Member Has To Swear To Keep The Rituals & Practices A Secret. Anyone Who Is Apart Of A Secret Society PRAY & REPENT!

  • You better gon' head girl.!!!!

I like this because I wanted to be an AKA all the way... I had to give that up though! and I wanted to after I found out what they were really about...

Now I have decided to join a Christian sorority Elogeme Adolphi --> "Blessed Sisterhood"

    LOOK US UP!

But, keep on doing what your doing! This is great...

&& are you one of my NATURAListas?!!!!!!

  • @s0phiistiicated1 LoL...To God be the Glory...Yes Miss Lady I have been Fully Natural for almost 1 year!!! I'm Excited!!!

  • In addition, my organization accent me esp. in my service. We don't parade around about our community service or what we have done but yet the weak minded go and take negative (untrue and unfactual) ideas and try to convice others. In our intake process, all of our girls have a worship sermon at church or with the Word of God. See if you don't know, don't speak. It shows ignorance, esp. when your touching subject based on assumptions. Thanks for sharing your opinion! Be Blessed! :)

  • @pbfinest1 Being a child of God through his son Christ, I can only share my experiences with you guys. Be careful of what we chose to hold on to so tightly. If your relationship with the Heavenly Father tells you that your affliliation with your BGLO is acceptable, and not idolatry, then that is your business. For me and others however, my Heavenly Father has stated otherwise as well as other aspects of myself that I must clean up in his sight so as to be seen as righteous.

  • @FitnessMinded I really respect your opinion and I listen to all but as you stated each has their own relationship with God. If God tells me otherwise, I will listen. I have listen thus far, God is the head of my life and no one comes before him. When I wake I up, I say thank you God not thank your Sorority! I really appreciate all being able to express their opinion, thats what I love about the USA, freedom of speech! Have a great day! :) BE BLESSED!

  • @pbfinest1 I used to feel, when I was an active member of the BGLO I renounced, as bit of division in myself over my affiliation with a group who said they were based on "christian principles" but did not practice them at all. Matthew 7:20 "Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions." If a group (BGLO, or even church) says they are christian based, guys and gals, please research them to see if they contradict your religious beliefs.

  • @pbfinest1 Just as the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, and others brought God's message to turn away from idolatry, the message was an Unpopular message to the Israelites who reasoned, used human logic, and rationale to argue against the message being given. Those prophets came to warn God's chosen people out of love for them and their eternal souls.

  • @pbfinest1 There are alot of things in our lives as true christians we must take a hard look at to see if they are truly contradictory to what and how God wants us to live our lives. Especially if we profess to be christians. But anything can be an idol, tv, money, cars, clothes, homes, clubs. BGLO is just one speck of dirt in OUR eyes that we must remove to be in accordance with God's word. All of this is stated in love for my fellow believers so as to show them the error of my ways

  • I'm confused. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority was found on Christian principles and service. Again do you think the people of God are that weak minded where they allow the world take them over once become apart of an organization. I am a member of many organization, but none come before God. How can you say that Sorority are a part of the world? Your opinion? Again, do your research. My sorors are my sister in Christ also. About you taking the scriptures making them fit what you think, out of line

  • @pbfinest1 Your Sisters in Christ are the ones who have the same father as you. And which scriptures did I manipulate?

  • @LaLa910 Now let's get in the word 2 Corinthians 6:14 Now in Corinthians Paul wrote to the Corinthians who were still living in sin after Paul’s first letter denied Paul’s authority. They were having problems in the Corinthians church. First and foremost, Sorority (Alpha Kappa Alpha is who I can speak for) DO NOT worship idols. My sorority sisters and I go to church and even volunteer at church. What really bothers me is you said non-believers??? Who are the non-believer?

  • @LaLa910 I don’t know who you talk to but thats bunch of mess. Maybe something happen in their life or experience that made them go against their org. Just like people turn against their church or their family, same principle hear is because all they talk about is the negative. They don't talk about any postive because they are still hurt and torn up! If you are not in the sorority all you can do is go off hear say and we all know what hear is and what it does.

  • @pbfinest1 Before I created this video I asked people who pledged about their experiences and even watched others on youtube confess about what they went through...No assumptions were made I heard it from the horses mouth.

  • @LaLa910 Again you ask those people about their experience! Everyone does not have the same and youtube is based off people personal experience! I can only tell you my experience and thats the same with others. You must research the sorority for yourself! In Romans, John pointed out that a person either is or is not a child of God! There is no middle ground. Now you spoke about fame, popularity, and all of that other superfical things... if thats what you think, you really need to research.

  • @LaLa910 People should not join a sorority for those things, but rather to accent the sorority! When joining a sorority, you should already be an individual. You should never join a sorority to find yourself or have them define you. I can speak for my sorority (AKA) and myself that we were not found on pledging but rather service. I’m in a sorority, but I am a child of God first. I join my sorority to continue to my service to all mankind, which in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority I saw those values

  • @LaLa910 Personally, I feel people are weak minded when they think an organization can determine a person loyalty to God and question their faith. All I can say is THANK GOD that at those pearly gates, he will be there and not you! See so many time, Christans try to point figures here and there. But question, have you sweep around your own front door! If anything you should try to help your brother and sisters, instead of tearing them down. In this video, all you have spoke of is negative!

  • @LaLa910 Thanks for opinion LaLa, we all get one! That just want you THINK, please do some more research and when you reading from the scriptures of God esp to the world! Please specfic who you talking too. For instance, who are the non-believers? Last comment, you said your sisters in Christ are the ones who have the same father as you. What does that have to do with being in an orgs! Your in college, are you in any organizations? I am in several, They are just orgs, no one bigger than other

  • @LaLa910 Wait biggest question, how do you see the sex, parties and all that if your not in the world! WoW big one there. People performing sexual acts and so forth is ridiculous. Has it been done? Probably so, but that is on that person moral standards. Members of my sorority seek woman who have high moral and ethical standards in doing those demeaning acts, it shows neither. Summing up, I believe being joining a sorority should accent the person you are not make you.

  • @LaLa910 Speaking from the fraternity perspective of pledging, that's how I know that they are not founded on "Christian Principles" BGLO fraternities are truly based off of "Masonic Principles" and rituals and "Hazing Principles". And for the natiional offices of Alpha, Aka, Delta, Que, Sigma, Zeta, Rho, etc to sit and act like they could not possibly fathom how someone joining their organization could be "Hazed" by a current member of their organizations, IS out and out LYING to cover them!

  • @pbfinest1 it's not about thinking that a person is weak minded the devil doesn't mind destorying any Christian period even the strongest Christian can be brought down. If Jesus Christ was tempted by the devil and understand what we go through then what does that say about Christians they are able to fall.

And some of these people are Muslims, Atheist, etc not all are Christian.

  • @MrCancerian33 I agree!

  • @pbfinest1 @pbfinest1 was AKA founded on the words of the Holy Scriptures or "Christian" principles? Please refer to what the scriptures state on these things. Sororities and Fraternities are considered "Of The World", according to the word. No one is without sin, but we are to worship GOD in all things and with every breath and not an organization. And I have done my research. A renounced member of a BGLO fraternity since for 5 years.

  • @FitnessMinded Question: Are you involved in any other organizations? For instance, a club or organization at a college or a professional organization or even social?? Are those found on the words of the Hold Scriptures or "Christan" principles?? Seems to me as people are just pointing out BGLO as if they are the only organizations in the word, its only an organization!! Know as a woman of AKA, we were found by Christan woman!

  • @pbfinest1 Sister, when you truly find that true "light" that BGLO's state they are moving towards but are not. Truth in terms of our Christian walk, if that's what we profess. And since many of BGLO members profess to be "Christians" as well, we are in scriptures to judge each other. If a person said that they were not a "Christian" then that person is not to be judged. Judging in terms of not passing condemnation, but discernment of what my experiences are and what they have been.

  • @pbfinest1 The question I would pose to anyone who states that there is nothing that goes against their christian faith in regards to being a BGLO member also is, Did the Israelites who were IN BONDAGED in EGYPT, babylon, and other places of captivity as a apart of GOD's judgement against them for their Idolatrous ways, feel that they were blatantly going against GOD's? God judged them as Idolators for worshipping other things more than him. They turned away from GOD with their actions

  • @pbfinest1 if you agree then you know the devil doesn't mind doing so and that is the point don't look at the org look at its roots. The ritual stuff can you honestly say that it is of God and if you got others that say it is not than how do you figure it is Christian based if you got people who were members then either they are wrong or the ones still in it are wrong.

  • @pbfinest1 You have been misled. You CANNOT serve two masters for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

  • One thing that I notice if you are a true Christian (not saying you aren't), and if u are strongly rooted in the Lord.If someone is to come to u or is near u with a spirit that is not in agreement with urs, then u need to move or leave .. I feel there is nothing wrong with joining a organization but remember God is first always and that organization should not consume your life, or cause you to sin. If u cant handle those responsibilities then you should not consider being a Greek.

  • @msfantasy2013 I hear what you're saying Ms. Lady but at the same time we as Christians need to stop defending/justifying things that conflict Holiness (not saying you are). Holiness is Right, anything other than that Aint...point blank

  • U might want to check out WorshippingJesus channel on fraternities befor pledging.

  • @TrueVintageRnBFan Thank You, I will be sure to do so!

  • We don't wrestle with flesh and blood. There is a spirit behind it. If you wanna know the truth about something...just check the origin!!!! May the Lord gives us discrenment and understanding in all things.

  • @tarheelphenom27 I thank you for your comment.

  • Well said sister lala! God bless you!

  • I can't believe that this argument is still going on. Let's look back at the great African American people who were Greek. Dr. Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, W.E.B. DuBois, the list goes on. Were they devil worshipers also. I can't seem to entertain that idea. These great people led OUR people out of the bondage that America had us in. I am a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and I do not believe that anything is wrong with people who pledge.

  • We as Christians need to be Followers of Christ and Follow Others as They Follow Christ...Where is Holiness in a Greek Sorority or Fraternity?? Before I'm a College Student, a Sister, a NAACP member, or whatever other title I hold...I'm a Christian. And if an Organization is NOT Promoting Holiness & the things of GOD, then why take part in it?? How can pledging to a Secular Organization make a Believer's Walk with Christ stronger?

  • Lala! I am so proud of you. This video is great and I totally agree. The comments were heated and I feel really bad for "bigroy" because I know that is how a lot of Christian "bros" and "sorors" feel. The Word is truth, God describing Himself for us, and if you don't believe what it says, then why call yourself a Christian?!

I see one of the big reasons Christians run to these organizations as this desire for brotherhood/sisterhood and belonging. And sadly, the churches are not reaching out to

  • The churches are not reaching out to the students on college campuses. And a lot of us have not grown up with strong Christian friends from our churches that hold us accountable to further growth in our spiritual walks with God. So when we get to college, we look for those relationships outside of God's things and our faith. So besides our sinful tendency to gratify the desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16-17), we are also looking for belonging. The church, meaning Christians, needs to really be that

  • The church, meaning, Christians, needs to really be that brotherhood for each other, so young Christians don't even want to look outside the Body for it.

  • @Elegramuffet Thank You! Yes, I feel that before we go off to college they tell us to stay focused! & don't bring home any babies! But I never received a speech about Keeping your Christian Standards on college Campus. It looks like fun on the surface but what really goes on behind the veil? And for the Record as far as Sor/Frat...."CHARITY WILL NEVER SUPERSEDE HOLINESS"

  • Monissica, return to that thread that you are speaking of and see my comments. Respectfully, as a fellow believer I'd like us to reason together just as the book of Isaiah says in chapter 1 verse 18. Seems your heart is in the right place, but even so, your org is a carbon copy of Greek orgs; and should be reconsidered. 1 John 2:15.

  • I saw a comment that said all BGLOs (Black Greek Letter Organizations) are represented by false gods. I wanna say that as a member of a Black Greek-Letter Organization, that is not the case. I am NOT a member of a "Divine 9" frat/sorority...but I am a member of Zeta Phi Zeta Christian Fraternity & Sorority and the ONLY GOD that represents up is the God of the Holy Trinity of The Father, The Son (Jesus Christ) and The Holy Spirit. God is represented on our crest, in our strolls, and steps.

  • @monissica Why be a part of Christian fraternity or sorority when you are already part of the body of Christ?

  • It's the season for pledging...And I am continuing to push this video out of Love...I want for All Christians to realize that My Walk with Christ is not the same as Yours...but when something is stated in the word of God...We should All agree upon that! & Stop trying to Justify whatever our Father dislikes! Grace & Peace!!

  • appreciate you posting this vid. Further proof I dont need to join a sorority! thanks :-)

  • Unless you find one that has sisters & brothers that'll push you to go higher in Christ, encourages fasting, studying, & praying, and holds you accountable (according to the bible)...then No! LoL

  • Big Roy destroyed his own argument anyway SEVERAL posts ago by stating himself that "yes, BGLO's have a root that is not of God, and practices that are not of God", then proceeds to give all kinds of flawed, twisted logic as to why these orgs are okay. He completely ignores the FACT that ALL BGLO's are represented by false gods. This is cognitive dissonance at it's finest. Let him stay "ignit" if he chooses, which he obviously does.

  • @robmaximus: the purpose of this video is not that we allow brothern to remain "ignit" lol...Out of Love, teach what the word says. That's what I am learning to do.

  • You're right, you're right.... I'm trying, sis. I just hate when people try to argue that stop signs are green and three-sided when the truth is right in their faces. Feel me? But I am praying for more patience...lol

  • LaLa910, great video, great job. Keep it up young sister!

777yojoe, please stop arguing with this Roy dude. You are wasting your time. He is lost and wishes to stay there. You as well as LaLa have posted countless scriptures TOTALLY condemning these "organizations", but some people wish to stay ignorant. The responsibility is on Roy now. Believe the Word of God or reject it and stay where you are. But let the Word defend itself. You guys have done your jobs.

  • @robmaximus Hey man,God bless,I guess he doesnt under stand that to pledge, oath or swear yourself to anything is a form of worship in it self which is why God said not do it,but maybe they just dont wanna see that...so yeah man I'm done..thanx bro

  • I am so sick of seeing people talk about how evil fraternities and sororities are. You are your own person and ALL chapters do not make their initiates do unholy things. I am a witness to this as well as my friends and family. We are heavily involved with community service and bettering young women. Now I will admit that some lines may have done such things but it is up to the INDIVIDUAL person to subject themselves to such behavior. do not make any judgments until you have fully done research

  • That's Fine! You can be sick. I'm sure ALL chapters don't make their initiates do unholy things. But as a Christian it doesn't make sense to me to seek after things that I don't see Christ in. Which Sorority or Fraternity has you up fasting, worshiping, and seeking after God? I understand that everyones walk with Christ is not the same, but when he says "NO" to something in his Word, that's a "NO" for all Christiants. (just my opinion)

  • i value those same morals as well....im just not christian and thats my point....im a black agnostic well educated very kind and caring...just dont believe in religion...it is possible to share christian morals and not even be christian because u dont have to be christian to value them

  • i understand your point. Many people I know (especially in college).

  • i understand i wanted to join a sorority, but since i seen these videos i dont really want bto do it anymoe. I to go to a HBCU, and greek life is a big deal, these orgs. are evil there has been people that hjave died on campus just to join. How do they say thet are of God, when they haze, and diss each other? sad!

  • Yeah, when you get into the word of God you'll see somethings for yourself that conflict with certain sororities and faternaties, and that is why I chose not to take part.

  • @coldwint sooooo christians don't make fun of muslims? or of buhddists? or of people in Greek orgs? Within BGLO's it is playful in most instances. My best friends are apart of different org's. Others experience the same, it is all in fun. How can you say you are of God and you sin? see how the logic doesn't work? If by joining an org that I believe stands for the WORK of God I am tied to the people that join it too, then your tied to catholics as a christian.... check ya words

  • @bigroyfasho23 by the way I am a Proud Christian, and a Sigma...

  • bigroyfasho23...Everybody sins, even when we accept Christ as our Lord & Savior we still do messed up stuff but he still forgives us. So in actuality all of us (Gods People) sin.

  • first off i also have friends, and family members in BGLO's, and all people sin, but the way these orgs aren't of God is ,not because of the people, many greeks are Christian, but the problem lies in the oaths they take to join, and the hazing. I understand tradition, but how can mental, and physical abuse be shown as want God want for his people?

  • I think ya'll missed my point. I wasn't downing anyone. What I'm saying is basically this. Yes bglo's have a root that is not of God, and practices that are not of God. Yet we joined them, changed the meanings, and love God very much! I know I do! This situation is synonymous to Christmas... Look it up... reeeeally look it up. You have to follow the same logic with everything else... We go to church as BGLO's we go to church on Christmas... lol

  • i understand what you mean, and i apologize to the fact i said the ords. are evil I meant hazing was evil, but i do think that God cares more about do you try to live for him every day, and what i was tryin to state earlier was that i would feel wrongif i chose to join these orgs.

  • You right, hazing could be considered evil. But with that you have to look at the situation. On a factual basis you do not have to endure hazing to join these orgs. hazing has been illegal for about 20 years. People choose to go through that stuff because they want to feel that they "earned" their way in/see if they can do it/test themselves etc. Another thing about hazing is it is not exclusive to greek orgs. hazings done everywhere bro. Sports, school, families, among friends. Its everywhere

  • And at the end of your comment is the meat of ALL OF THIS my brother. You would feel wrong, I feel wrong too just because I consider myself a part of the Christian brotherhood and when one of my brothers considers me evil because I am affiliated with a certain organization I feel ashamed. But I can't define my feelings/life by someone elses opinion. As you know, bible interpretations are subject to everyones "feelings". Some choose to take some parts literally, and other parts in metaphor

  • And yes, some parts are obviously one or the other, but for someone to claim their opinion as absolute is wrong bro, God knows our hearts and if I read a scripture and feel in my heart its different from when you read it (depending on what logical argument I feel closer to) then that makes us both correct if you ask me. Because If pastor TD. Jakes made videos about how Greek Orgs ARE of God and sighted verses etc. and make a convincing enough argument I bet you'd think differently.

  • @bigroyfasho23 TD jakes isnt the authority on the Word of God,as if this man has some heavenly merit, jakes is a business man, nothing more.Greek society is nothing but a cheap copy of egyption(kemet)culture, they stole everything,so your down with theives.old testement dealt with God trying to seperate his people from egyption culture,Moses found them worshiping IDOLS and GOD opened the earth and killed them for it,Yet u find a pastor who justifies heeding old egyption gods?FALSE PROPHET

  • It's just like homosexuality. The churches have agreed it is a sin, yet in no place in the bible is that explicitly stated, it is all implicit. So implicitly homosexuals and heterosexuals can find a great deal of foundational scripture to support what they feel in their heart.... lol but Im ramblin bro ima let u respond

  • I just want to ask you one question my brother... and hopefully you can change my mind about this because I struggle with it all the time. Simple question.... Is being American what God would want for his people? Change the meanings of things all you want but when it comes down to it you know in your heart that its not. But I bet I won't see you burning any flags ne time soon lol.

  • @bigroyfasho23 leviticus 20:13, "U shall not lie with a male as with a woman IT IS AN ABOMINATION" no place in the bible?if your college educated, your research skills...td jakes teach u that too? this aint about interpretation, life is about absolutes..when people kill people die that aint up to interpretaion is it...then why would God give us a word thats open interpretation?naw man, there is one awnser from ONE GOD and he ain't no greek or egyption god, place NO OTHER gods b4 him.

  • lol FIRST of all, if the bible wasn't up to interpretation then why don't you recommend that all homosexuals be put to death? Oh sorry... didn't want to put the rest of that verse down did you? How about the fact that the Gospel verses you BELIEVE in were decided upon by politics? That seems to be all interpretation to me. Yes I am college educated; well enough to know how to argue logically. All you do is attack phrases out of context so theres really no reason to respond to the rest. Do better

  • @bigroyfasho23 YOU said no where in the bible does it address homosexuality,I gave u the verse and now your saying somthing else, you abandoned your original statement.moreover, God said vengence is MINE,its not my job to put anyone to death, only God does that.I cant see how "U should not lie with a man like a woman." is out of context,NO BRA thats just willful ignorance on your part, thats as plain as day. comment on your greek slash egyption gods? i guess thats open to interpretaion too right?

  • But just so you won't feel left out, "Im down with theives"??? umm ok.. Well here are some facts: we don't worship false Gods, I never said TD Jakes was an authority, you know what? NVM this is pointless. Almost everything you said was an opinion lol. I'm trying to talk to you but its really hard when you haven't really said anything. Only factual thing u said was the last sentence. ONE GOD... and he's not greek OR egyption, we agree on one thing. Do you celebrate Christmas?

  • @bigroyfasho23 christmas is a pagan holiday...nice try..i dont touch it.

  • Great job! You proved that there is a verse about homosexuality! What about the rest of my statements? Your the one thats supposed to be disproving me... and not doing a very good job. You keep saying "my greek/egyptian gods" I will say this ONE last time, I HAVE NO GREEK GOD! NOR HAVE I EVER HAD ONE! Stop infusing opinion into your arguments... its really stupid. so NO BRA u gets no kudos... again... try harder

  • @bigroyfasho23 aint tryin to diss, but that frat. soro stuff is the very definition of idolatry,U swear oaths..thats forbidden by God,mathew 5:34,ALL greek frat and soro. organizations hail gods and goddessess, wich is more than just sin..but an abomination NOT my opinion..but the word of God.your approach to the bible is PHILOSOPHICAL,which is a code word for mans best guess. we have phrases like educated fools based on all the failed attemps by so called educated folks,i went college..so what

  • Firstly define idolatry... if you define it as taking oaths and call yourself an american, then your a hypocrite. "ALL" is wrong... I am a Sigma... I have never pledged an oath to any idol whatsoever. There is a difference between pledging to uphold ideals and worshipping a God. Get your facts straight lil bro... Finally if you approach the Bible in a way that is NOT philosophical then you are not a good spokesman for your "religion".

  • @bigroyfasho23 You pledged to uphold ideals that do not glorify God. They glorify your fraternity. And you stated that you are a Sigma, well I know what's in your little ritual book. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc is not only a social org...it's SPIRITUAL as well. If you're not uniting with the Spirit of God then what spirit are you uniting with???

  • What we have is a disagreement. If you learn more about "your religion" which I'm assuming is some Christian denomination then you would know that moderation is the name of the game... And if we are going to argue then let at least be with factual information... the next time you use opinion and try to display it as fact, I won't respond... its a waste of time lol so Im assuming you can consider this my last post on this topic with you

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO: AND I LOVED THAT SCRIPTURE THAT YOU POSTED: 1 ROMANS 32 - I HAD TO LOOK IT UP MYSELF.....May God continue to bless you...

P.S. You will come upon more 'demonic forces' on HBCU campuses in terms of "black greek organizations" because they birthed them into the "EDUCATED NEGROES' MIND"...yet those who were "CHRISTIANS (student/faculty)" never challenged these organizations because they went on hear say about the CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES..lol

  • I enjoyed this video.I was never interested in joining a sorority for alot of those reasons.I understand the hype of it all but it just didnt attract me to want to take part. Some say for the simple fact that i can say i have "sisters" for life, but at what cost? I do understand where you are coming from though and would love for you to maybe discuss other issues we face in our young lives trying to stay saved.Stay blessed and keep doing what you do!

  • Continue to stay strong in your faith inspite of the voice of the stranger (Satan). You posed very good questions. Those who want to hear God's voice, will hear you, but those who despise the truth of God, will despise you. Rejoice when the insults come, because great is your reward in Heaven.

  • thank you for your support!
