I sat my five kids, 4 to 9 in front of the TV and made them listen to classical music, symphonic, opera and ballet. If any one of them acted up, I would tap them on the head from behind with a long stick. They also had to know every instrument in a symphony. Another tap if they did not identify the instrument I pointed out with the stick. They are all adults now and continue to appreciate fine music.
