I never had to teach mine to swim. This pool is my in-laws and we went swimming the one day to find out that the pooches loved to also. They just jumped in and started to swim. When we got our last eskie as a baby we put her in and left her get the feel of it and she just started to swim also. I thought all dogs knew how to swim? ?
Heh, my american eskimo was always afraid of the water. I tried putting him in the pool and he instantly swam out. He knows how to swim, just doesnt like it heheh, wont try putting him a pool again though, Unfortunatly he lost a leg after a car accident :( but hes still with me and I'm happy he is ^^

i have a 8 monht old eskimo dog and he hates wqter that is why whene we get a pool i am going to teach him how to swim!
