Labels are for idiots in the context of the globalized world. That said, this is not emo music. This is hipster music if anything. It's happy in rhythm, timber and tone of vocals, but the songs lyrical content is far too intelligent and logical to be happy. Listen to the lyrics and you'll understand, it is at times very sad and disgruntled. Hipsters are bitter; happy only in dress (colors and style).
