Here's the thing...the dumb videos can be clicked on at laughed by pretty much everyone...whereas the technical videos appeal only to people looking to accomplish that specific thing (hide files inside JPG's, learn foreign languages cheaply and so on).
So the stupid humor and pretty faces will get higher view numbers than tutorial vids, even ingenious ones like Jimmy's.
But there are tons of pretty faces in the world, and very few brilliant people, be happy to be in the latter category.

The people who are subscribing to all this garbage are simply looking to be entertained and likely would never subscribe to a learning channel such as yours to begin with in most cases. Another thing if you do decide to make "stupid" garbage videos you will get tons of subscribers agreed but what quality will you get?

I think of youtube as a better version of Google because it shows what you do, rather than to just read what you have to do, and dont understand anything. thus new technology and new buisnesses dont have a chance or start because older websites have a higher view count and people wont switch thier sites over to current news, its defaulted at popular view so new technology is discarded and more popular buisnesses that can advertise on tv stay on top as they will get searched more online. all these websites cater towards popular content rather than content by importance and they are not always the same thing. from a buisness and tech standpoint bad.

Why do people don't like educational stuff? This is why: People work 8 hours a day and people sleep 8 hours a day. There are 8 hours left in day where you have to shower, get yourself dressed, do your makeup, cooking, eating breakfast and dinner, go to and leave your work and do household. If your looking for huge subscriptions or to make money off stupidity. What you say makes a lot of sense but you answered your own question within this video. The people who are subscribing to all this garbage are simply looking to be entertained and likely would never subscribe to a learning channel such as yours to begin with in most cases. Another thing if you do decide to make "stupid" garbage videos you will get tons of subscribers agreed but what quality will you get?

What you do is of far more value than the fools out there. I have found your tutorials extremely helpful and want to thank you for the time and effort you have put in. It's not all about how many views you get or even how many subscribers you get it's about the difference you make to the world. What you have done has made a positive difference to those who wish to learn. i mostly only use youtube for information, And i rarely ever check out funny stuff. I think of youtube as a better version of Google because it shows what you do, rather than to just read what you have to do, and dont understand anything. thus new technology and new buisnesses dont have a chance or start because older websites have a higher view count and people wont switch thier sites over to current news, its defaulted at popular view so new technology is discarded and more popular buisnesses that can advertise on tv stay on top as they will get searched more online. all these websites cater towards popular content rather than content by importance and they are not always the same thing. from a buisness and tech standpoint bad.

I agree with pinksheetmillions, your videos aren't searched by everyone only those who actually need help with their computers or want to know really cool tricks to improve their online experience. PLUS you have tons of other competitors looking for the same stuff you post and probley go to their videos instead of yours, so basiclly the right people just don't find your videos and 1/3 of youtube would rather go see some really insane funny video. dont' know why you care. the subs, views, ratings thing is just a device to mak people feel wanted so they spend more time on the site absorbing the ads. and the vids with massive view counts are just very young children saying "again!" and a lot of people spend thousands of hours just sucking up to people to get subbed. If you don't appeal to the majority you're doing something worhtwhile. look at primetime tv and the pop chart. do you really want to appeal to those plantpotts?

Why do people don't like educational stuff? This is why: People work 8 hours a day and people sleep 8 hours a day. There are 8 hours left in day where you have to shower, get yourself dressed, do your makeup, cooking, eating breakfast and dinner, go to and leave your work and do household. After that, you have maybe 3 hours of free time left (if you don't have any kids!). The most people don't want to get educated in their precious free time and want to be entertained.
