Such a shame that Farage is wasting his time for such a lost cause... If he really wants to change the EU and Britain, he ought to get out of that undemocratic system (because they will not destroy themselves) and run for prime minister in Britain. Then he can undo the membership of the EU and change Britain for the better.

@alainvig im not ashamed actually because i didnt demand anyones money. besides, all the eu states are going to do is give us loans against guarantees with a rate higher than the one they borrow, making a healthy profit. germany will make approx. 1bn euros out of the deal, so we're not taking money, rather than giving. learn how a loan works
@nikosellinaras You don't leave in a democracy, but I do, because Greece cheated with Goldman Sachs to enter the EU, and now everyone has to pay for all your lies. And that's why the Greek government will taxes you, so that to pay for all of us that lend you money. Greece demanded to join the EU, we did not invited you inside, you wanted to come in.
@alainvig you fool, we in the ru live under a common law, the eu law, in which you, fool, have no say. eu laws make up most of the laws in the member states. the thing about greeks cheating to get in the eu is pretty clear, most of the member countries cheated to get in. the greek government will tax the greek people to pay off the INTEREST (=PROFIT) for the loans and the capital. The capital that you never had, but borrowed.
@nikosellinaras No you are an idiot, because you are from Greece, your country better leave the EU, it's a drain on Europe, go join the african union instead, you don't belong with us.
@alainvig are you implying that all greeks are idiots? lol, that makes you an idiot. Yes! I really hope we never came in the eu and rather had free trade agreements. Your brain is a drain of europe. For your information, Europe was a lover of the ancient Greek god Zeus. Moreover Greece, although weak in economic and geopolitical terms has always been a western country, therefore leaving you the only one to believe we should join the african union.
This is a Federation and we do not want federations. We do not want some countries to become a place for holidays. This is clear! It is a plan and is happening!
Some countries produce and sell the other work and buy. the first ones are richer and richer... the second poorer and poorer... WAKE UP PEOPLE!
@Letria you are correct!!! Barroso is a shame to Portugal and to Europe!! I am Canadian but my origins are from Portugal. This exchange is like a game of chess. Farage uses his Queen to place Barroso's King in check. Barroso then uses one of his pawns to block the check and, at the same time, coerce Barroso's KIng into check mate. What the brave and bullied Irish have NOT been told is very interesting. Perhaps Ireland's politicians and the un-elected "elite" in Brussels "forgot" to mention that massive bits of the infamous Lisbon treaty/constitution will not effect GERMANY or AUSTRIA ! Why not ? Because the Constitutional Courts of these two countries stood up for their citizens and built in protections and safeguards !
You can read the German Court ruling and it's HUGE implications at No2Lisbon2.
Things change and times change, EU is the new Britain. NI will be sorted and a united Ireland demographically is on the way - Britain no longer has vested interest in Ireland. EU is now a greater threat to the Irish as a people and our independence. Cling on to old hates and we will drown.
It is about power, and they tell us it's about efficiency. Maybe they are squeeky clean, BUT it's setting things up for the not-so-squeeky-clean to abuse that power. And then - "God help us" - Blessings - Rene
When Turkey joins the EU,the Lisbon treaty will mean that voting is based on population size. This will give Turkey about 20 times the voting power of Ireland.
Unlike Ireland....Turkey does not have a social security system.
"If the Irish people say no for a second time, then we simply have to respect what they say, and you have to go as President of the Commision, it would happen in any other walk of life, it would happen in any business and I suggest in European Politics it really ought to happen"
This bit really was articulated exceptionally well, he couldn't have delivered that any better. Keep up the work Nigel Farage!
get informed-we will lose our right to self determination if this goes through-our constitution; loo roll. absolute power corrupts absolutely-'the principle of democratic accountability'.-we are already members of the eu-we dont owe them anything-im not anti europe btw-just anti eu, :)
To put an end to this fake debate, PLEASE just watch 2 videos. One is from Top Gear about the cars they had in Communist Russia(/watch?v=pGf29rEMdls) and the other is about the new SLS AMG(/watch?v=7bZK61QShj0). I mean, we may becoming bit by bit a federal union (which as I said before I disagree), but we at least are not having to to live with crappy products.
5 stars. Excellent vid. We have too many unelected folks deciding what is best for us. What with the UN, FAO, WHO and Codex Alimentarius Commission. Watch out they will soon be telling us what we can grow in our gardens. Asuming you can aford the licence for the water butt. Carbon Water Food control, they're already training 8000 food advisers to come and give us advice in our homes. And of course we all waste a third of the food we buy because "they" say we do!
For men like Barroso, the nations of Europe are not "their own." They are to be the plaything of Barroso and his Eurocrats. Letting the people vote: self-legislation - the goal of the Enlightenment and all our struggles against altar and throne - that, well, is dangerous populism, don't ya know?
The EU represents a huge step backwards in the history of government.
How ashamed are these people of their own kin and countrymen that they would fly the flag of some disembodied organization?
The whole notion of the EU Parl politician in the video above is that barroso tries to ram on our throat a "constitution" that no one really wants and needs.
Do we really need a constitution? The answer is no.
BUT, every time you discard it as a stupid book of ruined laws, keep in mind that there are people who have actually voted YES. These people, on the vast majority are not idiots. They are not ill informed, they are not to be treated as sheep and they are the many. ...
In EVERY other political "union" in the Galaxy if smt is voted by a relative majority it becomes law. In the EU, though the Irish have a say. Their relative power, or even relevance, in Europe is small. BUT, we aspire for united in diversity. Nothing becomes law if some of us feel REALLY bad about it. Do you really feel that this precious democratic principal should not be written in a big book to remind everyone of the future generations that we are the true democracy?
Perhaps I am missing something, but I thought one of the problems is that most people have not been allowed to vote in the first place, and those that have been allowed have voted majority NOs. Perhaps you are referring to the politicians that have been voting in place of the people. In that case, no, they are not idiots, and they are not sheep, but nor are they the many. They are conniving, they want to lead those they see as sheep, and they are the few.

Hey, the Communist songs have NOTHING to do with the EU.
Please open a history book, and then try to compare virtualy incomparable things.
In this video the most epic grotesque person is the Brit who obviously would have absolutely no problem for Britain to leave the EU. But, as we ALL KNOW this is impossible. For many reasons. So, he is just talking hot air.
Gordon Brown is a bafoon, couldnt run a kindergarden, has stuffed everything up,and is a traitor as he has signed the Lisbon Treaty on behalf of the British people,he promised them a vote and did not let them have a vote, how democratic is that, thats dictatorship, and if we are in the EU,more Dictatorship, freedoms will be lost, life as we know it will be changed forever, we need Nigel Farady to save us from the EU Monster which cost us billions to keep.God help us all.

Look at the MEPs around him, the guy behind him is looking at his mobile pretending he got at text, the two to his right are pretending to be writing something important. As for the scottish point however you are wrong anyway latest pols show 28% of Scots want independence the same as 10 yrs ago.
Support for the SNP in Scotland is not being translated into what the SNP stand for.

NEWS JUST IN - the EU has in the last hour (Saturday and all) announced they have a new fund for DELL workers...... Buy me Mr. Barrosso, buy me! To put this into context € 15 million would barely cover lunch money for the Dell employees and the others that are out of jobs because of these relocations!!! - (this comment has been sponsored by the NWO)

United irealnd?,N-ireland,70% of the entire economy is public sector,as for the rep of ireland it is bankrupt.
According to official figures before the bank bailout announced couple days ago, irish debt will be 93% of GDP next year, and 135% with NAMA by 2012.
Thats without any more economic bad news.
Rep of ireland can't afford itself never mind the North.

When Turkey joins the EU,the Lisbon treaty will mean that voting is based on population size. This will give Turkey about 20 times the voting power of Ireland.
Unlike Ireland....Turkey does not have a social security system.

MarcusCMarcellus 2 years ago
Is that russian communist music playing at the end? Old Soviet Union?
How evil is it these people of foriegn lands think they can ignore the people of different countries and swallow them up.
I hate how all these different countries are now being called states. Its a conditioning and even the liberals, anti EUs are falling for it.
Theyre not states theyre countries. And make sure to get that message out.

They are not ill informed, they are not to be treated as sheep and they are the many. ...
everydaypanos 2 years ago
Do you really feel that this precious democratic principal should not be written in a big book to remind everyone of the future generations that we are the true democracy?
everydaypanos 2 years ago
...
Fear not that we become a centralisationist spirit that always goes in one direction.
Because we are moving! and as long as we do that united we can always turn wherever we darn wish.

Could you please remind me if there was any country in which lisbon treaty passed in referendum? I simply can't recall any, but I might be wrong.
BTW: I mean the first approach obviously - not the thing they are hoping to do in Ireland.
batwingwashere 2 years ago 2
