For some reason, when I right click and go to Scale, it does Squash instead. Is this because I'm using 2009, or do I need to change something in my settings?
There are different directions you can scale, within the scale tool, if you use directly in the center it scales everything to proportion, if you do it in between the x and y axis then it will only do X and y, and you might have a goblin pancake, something like that but just pay attention to what part is highlighted while ur trying to scale and thats how it will scale
you can use alt+x instead of a transparent material...

question: i have started for the first time with 3d studio max. now i thanks to the tuts. i can import and texture models. good.
i also managed to make a biped. good.
now my questsion: as far as i can see the biped have to be complete inside the model to work proper right?
if i dont do that some points stay steady and all i get is stretched bullshit.
is my guess right?
