Ah, great review. Missed seeing this one for some reason... Anyway, I'm getting a $5 NZ Darth Vader Tie Fighter off TradeMe which is complete and mint so that's a bonus. That's so cheap. Oh and a Transmetal Rhinox (special blue Fox Kids edition) for $1 NZ. Totally awesome. But yea, I agree, don't buy them. But if I see more for a bargain, I'll buy them. It's this guy on TradeMe who is cleaning out his TF collection. I already got Slugslinger and now I'm going for two more that end tomorrow!

I agree with you, 9/10'sof the way; the other 1/10 is because one or two, imo, aren't THAT bad... I bought Clone Commander Cody and I rather like him. Only thing wrong with him is the huge pieces on his back, which... I've just taken the folding like Hot Rod's wings.

I agree the Transformers look great when they are in Vehicle mode, but as characters they suck. although I suppose they are mostly aimed at kids who probably couldn't care less what they looked like

In concept, this was an awesome idea, but in typical Hasbro fashion, they made a right balls up of it. The choice of ships are good but the designs are shite. I wished they would have used a more G1/Binaltech/Classics aesthetic and design with the line, based on either G1 characters or new ones created for said line. More tradational style Transformer heads would've improved the toys a little. Utter arse!

OK, I admit that this line could've been a lot better, but I believe that they try to make the mechs look too much like the characters they're meant to represent, hence why people say they look lame. Because the Clone Pilot isn't based on any character in particular, I understand why you don't mind it as much as the others.

I agree that the idea was odd and the designs looks like crap but Hasbro makes their toys so that the certain joints can pop loose to avoid permanent breakage. It's based on how rough kids can be with their toys. That why the Alternators have parts that can come loose...it's a design element for the Western Markets.
