  • I have the Hotwheels lolz

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love flying?

    (2) Why do we enjoy to fly airships?

    (3) How does the feeling of flying on an airship different from that of flying on an aeroplane?

    (4) Why do we want to design and to build new airships in this "jet age"?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • I watched Goodyear blimps land and takeoff a short distance from my apartment windows. I went to Flushing Airport and met and befriended the blimp staff. The rest is history. I compare an airship ride more to being on a boat than any other conveyance. The fact that you can open windows and float over people as you wave is very appealing.

  • @applesweeter Computers for designing airships as well and lighter weight and stronger materials make the future of airships an integral part of the aviation community. Airships consume far less fuel when compared to other forms of powered flight. A blimp uses the same amount of fuel in a week that a commercial jets uses to go from the terminal to the runway!

  • @Airshipal

Now, I understand. Airship is very fuel saving.

By the way, I have two additional questions:

    * If there is an airship cruise (or airship hotel), will this be attractive to toruists to travel around the world?

    * Will airship be more comfortable if the engine is more quiet?

  • Every sense I was young, I always enjoyed watching blimps fly over the house.I could'nt imagine what it would be like to be on one!!!

  • I rode in the Goodyear Airship "Spirit Of America" out of Carson, Ca back in May of '05. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! If you ever get the chance, it's something you'll NEVER forget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DanBell47 Oh yeah!

  • Of course! You could voice one of the airship characters, as I hope to have it made into a children's tv series one day.

if you visit my art site: ferrygirl dot deviantart dot com you can see some of my artwork.

  • Cool artwork. Love the blimp. Very original. Thank you for sharing.

  • Had some good news today, I've written a children's book about an airship and the Zep flight company are interested in promoting it...yay!

  • That is good news. Congratulations. Please keep me updated. Let me know if I can be of assistance. The down payment is an autographed copy of your book!

  • Cool vid. I love airships and I'm saving up to go on one of the Zeppelin NT flights in Germany next year, hope they start flights in the UK.

  • I hope you get a flight. I haven't had a Zep ride yet but plan to one day.

  • pretty cool! Fuji blimp also used fly over London in the 1980s. Has two Porsche engines I believe...

  • The Fuji blimps in the U.S. had the Porsche engines while the Fuji blimp in Europe was operated by WDL and had 2 Continental engines. Both were exciting to fly in.

  • ...I bet! You're very lucky to have had the experience! Would love a blimp ride...Pity, cause you hardly see them at all here in London nowadays. They always made me curious when I was a child, especially the distinctive droning noise they made. Did the Goodyear blimps use the Lycoming type engines?

  • Goodyear uses Continentals.

  • Ok! Thanks...

  • Didn't mean to be so short with my response. One problem in the U.S. is the growing lack of mooring sites.

  • Great Video, 2 questions, How many people can the Fujifilm blimp carry per ride and How do you get a ride in it?

  • Thanks for the comment. The Fuji blimp has been retired but the Skyship 600 could hold approximately 10 passengers and 2 crew. My interest in airships began in 1964 and I have flown in dozens of airships and probably logged over 500 hours of flight time. The Fuji blimp pilot who arranged the ride and I have been friends for decades.
