Anyone could take a prophecy from the bible to mean anything. Literally. For instance, Stars falling from the heavens onto the earth. Defenders of the bible automatically start lying and positively claiming that the bible authors meant comets or meteors.But the Greek words for them are meteoron and Cometa, which could have easily been used to describe them.No they literally thought stars were as small as they appeared.But theists make this prophecy seem like its saying whatever they want it to.

@sexyAllen4u It’s true that theologians have debated that one over the years. Some think it’s God, others think it’s satan. I’m not sure this was judgment, but punishment. I’ve always compared this to Matthew 7 v 23, when God did judge, all he said was depart from me, it didn’t say He destroyed the soul and body in hell.

@sexyAllen4u I have some Muslim friends from Iraq. They tell me that Mohamed modified Christianity and Judaism to come up with Islam 1400 years ago. They say they believe in Jesus as a prophet but not savior. As far as hell, they’ve never been able to answer that aside from what Jesus said. Sar told me his Muslim teachers don’t say much about that.

Although it’s not in the Curran Sar told me that Mohamed prophesied that Israel would never be a state again. Well 1948 messed that up. He says that’s what that conflict is really all about.

According to scripture he's seen the end of days, he knows how his divine plan will work out. He knew if he put that test in the garden that they would fail. He knew they would fail. I researched the origin of my religion and then ended up becoming an agnostic. Agreed, I completely disagree that christians are stupid. Personally growing up in a christian school and home environment has shown me that each person (even from the same religion) have completely different perspectives on hell and it's origins. If it was not explained by a major religious artifact and/or accepted tradition, it should not be used as point of explanation. Is it burn for eternity or be consumed by the ground (Ref. Bible) Fun Fact, the word "hell" litarally means "The Grave".
There is a misunderstanding with Fundamentalists about the Book of Revelations that I can't discuss here, but the word "aeon" was often misinterpreted. It has a beginning and an end. I think people will definitely be judged for their sins, but can be saved by Grace, Faith, and subsequently REDEMPTION. We shouldn't judge atheists because they may receive Christ at some other point in their lives. God's nature is LOVE and that was the Good News that Jesus brought.
Jesus says that evil people will be "pushed into outer darkness". "HELL" was meant as a figurative and apocalyptic term. Basically it means total separation from God, or death...which is exactly what atheists believe happen to them anyway. Jesus does say that all of the sins of man will be forgiven them, except to sin against the Holy Spirit. That's just ONE SIN that is unforgivable. God forgives us are sins both realized and unrealized through Grace which involves the heart (used "figuratively)
Hell is something human, something that was made out of some genius minds, to control humankind. IF there was something like the "God" as described in the bible, it actually wouldn't make sense to "create" something like a hell. Stop being afraid and actually start thinking. Anyone could take a prophecy from the bible to mean anything. Literally. For instance, Stars falling from the heavens onto the earth. Defenders of the bible automatically start lying and positively claiming that the bible authors meant comets or meteors.But the Greek words for them are meteoron and Cometa, which could have easily been used to describe them.No they literally thought stars were as small as they appeared.But theists make this prophecy seem like its saying whatever they want it to.

According to scripture he's seen the end of days, he knows how his divine plan will work out. He knew if he put that test in the garden that they would fail. He knew they would fail. He knew they would fail and he did it anyway. Then he punished them. Worse yet, we 'inherit' this punishment when we did nothing wrong.

Agreed, I completely disagree that christians are stupid. Personally growing up in a christian school and home environment has shown me that each person (even from the same religion) have completely different perspectives on hell and it's origins. If it was not explained by a major religious artifact and/or accepted tradition, it should not be used as point of explanation. Is it burn for eternity or be consumed by the ground (Ref. Bible) Fun Fact, the word "hell" litarally means "The Grave".

There is a misunderstanding with Fundamentalists about the Book of Revelations that I can't discuss here, but the word "aeon" was often misinterpreted. It has a beginning and an end. I think people will definitely be judged for their sins, but can be saved by Grace, Faith, and subsequently REDEMPTION. We shouldn't judge atheists because they may receive Christ at some other point in their lives. God's nature is LOVE and that was the Good News that Jesus brought.

Jesus says that evil people will be "pushed into outer darkness". "HELL" was meant as a figurative and apocalyptic term. Basically it means total separation from God, or death...which is exactly what atheists believe happen to them anyway. Jesus does say that all of the sins of man will be forgiven them, except to sin against the Holy Spirit. That's just ONE SIN that is unforgivable. God forgives us are sins both realized and unrealized through Grace which involves the heart (used "figuratively)
