  • I agree monique her eyes are very sexy and cooooool and yes your right a little scary too, fionas awsome i just love her singing.

  • man her eyez are soooo cool...sexy and a lil scary

  • Fiona must've been before her time...I swear everytime I hear ppl glorigying Amy Winehouse, I think Fiona should've got the same kind of praise. She's a hell of a lyricist. (rare to find these days.)

  • @Sahbisun She was 17 when she made Tidal... it is even today a timeless record. Winehouse was a worthless twat, sadly when you are stupid enough to kill yourself... people respect you even more.

  • She could be an Olsen twin.

  • I never get tired listening to this song, fionas awsome

  • real music! woo

  • I love my Virgo sisters......... Amy winehouse anyone? Fiona is not on drugs, were just all in our own hyper world and see shit more intensely and no were not sorry. Were naturally high all the time..

  • @M17401 That intensity factor is not a Virgo characteristic... its the Scorpio in her chart.... Virgo's analyze shit and have it all figured out, real for sure... and also there is that virgin/whore complex.... thats the fun part!!! lol

  • I watched this live...I have loved her for years...She was so stinking nerves...I love it...I hope to be like her someday...Her emotions all come out when she sings and it makes me feel the song other then just hear it...

  • "what would an Angel say...the devil wants to know"

  • Its feel goods to stagger around like that when your all spun-out.

  • I think she's sexier singing than she (or just about anyone) would be doing porn.

  • she is so sexy, she should make porn

  • She's a nifty little number.

  • 3:26 I love that ending.

  • mmm me encanta

  • She was so sexy and cool

  • Naughty Beauties are there benaughtyman.info

  • If I was this man I would climb on the stage and slap the bitch in the mouth, fuck that, PUNCH the bitch in the mouth.

  • aw, your mother should have kissed you more!

  • @Phazonin Fuck you cunt. My little league baseball coach did plenty of that.

  • @adrozemog that's good to hear. but please do humanity a favor and NOT PROCREATE.

  • @Phazonin that's mean. I was joking anyway (tried to say that but youtube wouldn't let me post again). But damn that's mean. I WILL PROCREATE as much as I want to. So a lot. And then I'm going to gather all of my PROCREATIONS in a basket, and leave them on your froont doorstep. So YOU CAN KISS THEM MORE!

  • Cody Weber sent me here.

  • she's so stoned.hahaha

  • Gran descubrimiento

  • @ana1955100 epa! 15 ańos mas tarde XD

  • @LisQueen8 dude I feel inclined to agree with you. Of course, this isn't considered a bad thing...lol

  • Thats what I would do if I was singing on stage. I love how she walks around almost awkwardly.

  • She doesn't seem all that sorry.

  • damn shes the shit

  • Love fiona!hope to hear from her soon.

  • Don't you tell me to be naive .... I love it, I love this song ^^

  • the band has no feel for this song.

  • THIS SONG IS SEXY!!!! RAWWWWWWRRRRR!!!

  • how ya like them apples?

  • I love how she laughs! She's so crazy and cool!

  • So STONED lol

  • How awesome! She even has Billy Ray Cyrus on drums.

  • Damn i love the little wiggle at 1:30-1:33. She was looking a little healthier here too not as skinny.

  • How sad just a couple years later we had total shit like Britney and Ashlee Simpson. What happened to people's tastes? We had great music in the 90's till the Spice Girls hit and it's been all downhill since.

  • @dsfddsgh dont worry, we have florence welsh :)

  • @iamsarahreid WHO? because no one compares... No one. :) you want prof, read every lyrics tone and melody Fiona has ever written, they are both different artists.

  • @dsfddsgh I think it's just the ebb & flow of music styles. The 80's had the fun, cheesy music. The 90s had a lot of angst-filled, dark music - like with fiona, alanis and grunge music.. So the end of the 90s/2000's started the pop trend again..then mid-late 2000s - we started getting the angsty- music again with emo/screamo, etc.

Now Gaga & Katy Perry are popular (hate Perry though).. Music style just seems to change w/the times.

    ;)

  • i wish she had more than one sheet music book out

  • That BEAUTIFUL CHAMBERLIN!! You can hear it really loud here too!

  • I love this song...dark redemption. They play it A LOT on Sophie 103.7 San Diego...like every rare moment I turn that on..good thing I like it!

  • I love what she does at the end. Is she imitating the crowd?

Fiona, my love burns for you like an eternal flame. lol

She's certainly one of a kind.

  • Un criminal brutal. La esperanza se encuentra en las penumbras....

  • Me encanta como canta al principio, parece que está susurrando un secreto al oído!

    La AMO!

  • We want more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • No, it's Fiona Apple. :)

  • My goodness. Sarah Jessica Parker?

  • seeeeeeeeeexyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!

  • We all hope for the best and we all do it in our own way!

  • this is really awesome!!! :D

  • Dude Kurt and fiona would have made a great artistic couple. Both good looking in a unique way and both super talented and weird.

  • her and kurt cobain should have gone out instead

  • @MrLetsgetbeautiful haha awesome, kurt and her definitely woulda been awesome. i like her much better than courtney

  • fina aplle is god!!!!!!

  • fiona aplle is god!!

  • Look at how much effort she's putting into that performance. How can anyone not like her?

  • she's well hot :)

  • I fucking LOVE HER

  • She doesn't give a shit. lol. she fucked a guy, hurt him, then wrote an ironic song. lol. love it.

  • @ReklawLah what the fuhhh.... LOL your interpretation automatically suggests that she not only got off on hurting the guy, or gets off on hurting guys, but also suggests that she is proud of it boasts about it, not caring if people know it. Is she sociopathic? Or is the song loaded with pure contrition; "don't tell me to deny it", "he is all I ever knew of love", "I have to cleanse myself until I'm good enough for him", "what would an angel say because the devil (herself) wants to know"

  • @krosspatch11 i think that's the beauty of this song. if you just read the lyrics, it sounds like she's truly sorry about what she did, but the way she sings it and the sinister sound of music gives the song an entirely different feel, almost like she is, as you said, mischievously proud about about it. she shifts back and forth between the sorrow, mischief and absolute despair (let me know the way!!!) throughout the song... and i think it's damn brilliant!

  • @ReklawLah you're strange.

  • I miss all the fucking great stuff like that on TV. I don't watch TV anymore, really, it's all just crap.

  • @butterflypiano Hello butterfly. ;) Hopefully she will be on TV after her new CD is out.

  • @MegaWhiner Hello mehawhiner :) Oh I hope that so much, too! But not on German TV, I guess. She never was on fuckin German TV. I'll have to watch her in internet, I always have to do it this way. :(

  • what the heck was she doing under the piano?

  • shes a weirdo, on something, i dont leave negative comments unless it is needed, I think she is .....here and then anyway on speed or whatever....I dislike the music, voice, and her, she gives me the skeevies hahahaha

  • @momyrose Aww don't hate on Fiona! i love her soo, But hey everyone has there opinions don't they?

  • @Evangeline30575 ok, sorry its just that her MTV thing was unreal, and she seems high there, but thanks for being open to others comments, thats cool,

  • @momyrose hmm yeah, i'd say something but as long as you're civil about it, it's all good :-D. of course she's not gonna be everybody's cup of tea, it took me a while before I started to feel where she was comin from... and btw she said she was a little drunk during that speech haha.

  • It's a shame that people today don't have the patience to like music with lyrics that are actually coherent, talented, and well thought out. Take a look at the top of the charts and you will see Kesha at the top and some of her best known lyrics are " I wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy. "

Also, I don't know if most of these comments are from women, but as a male, I can appreciate her lyrics and talent.

    Excellent job Fiona.

  • I like every song better live!!!

  • God, shes sexy. Like Jewel with an edge.

  • her expression after the first verse

     kills me. so hot.

  • she's a goofball in this lol...

  • whatever happened to this talented little flake?

  • does anyone else think her voice sort of starts sounding like a tiger roaring 2:29 onwards? AWESOMEEEEEEE

  • One of the sexiest performance i ever seen

  • That was so hot. I loved the end, I really felt the music then, though the beginning was a bit shaky, the whole performace just ended up beaing killer!

  • I was 1 years old during this xD I love her

  • she was really nervous

  • amazing talented beautiful woman

  • I love how innocent she looks at times then she gets a angry look

  • ouch. that hurt. but in a good good way.

  • She is such an honest artist. Amazing. Love her.

  • wow she is incredible live!!

  • she is so skinny..

  • @mineralogyom sofria de anorexia

  • Love her...Fiona rules

  • God,watching and listening to this kind of stuff makes you wonder what the heck happened to great music.

  • check out our band guys, we're 90'sish, morrownow

  • I love that she was hiding under the piano! XD

  • a true bad ass

  • What the hell is she doing there at the end? Is she nervous or on drugs or what?

  • @stingyzx lol i was wondering that too.

  • @stingyzx i think she was nervous.

  • very sexy/ angry voice!!! no other woman can match!!!

  • Beautiful, Fiona is just too damn beautiful

  • Our generation's Janice Joplin?

  • @TheKenTerry

Fiona is AMAZING, but she's no Janice!

    That's just a silly comment!

  • @kkristiekevin

Not in actual voice...but great lyrics and a strong voice that tells people go screw themselves...you can't deny that.

  • @TheKenTerry fiona's voice is far more evocative than joplin's. janice sounded like a dying cat.

  • @Ficklesnoot

I'm pretty sure I just said they don't sound the same. It's the power and emotion they bring in thier voice.

  • I love Fiona Apple, for several years.

This is a shitty recording tho. She is absolutly amazing.

  • @AkireTigerpaw how? this is like my favorite one on here lol.

  • I love the way she slips out from under the piano. In fact, no. I love Fiona.

  • I kind of looks to me like she's acting out the song throughout the performance. Acting kind of like a criminal that got away with something.

Whatever she does, she fan-fucking-tastic =)

  • she had a lot of passion.

  • I adore this performance! Among my favorite (of this song). And the only thing she's "on" is probably some med for OCD, if anything at all..That's just how she is on stage =)

  • what an amazing chic

  • Man, she was angry! That voice has razors in it! And that anger resulted in some great pop music! Most importantly, she can sing live, which is almost like an achievement in female pop singers these days.

  • She was sick that day, but your right she is amazing. She pulled off a great performance even while being sick!

  • This is simply an excellent performance. She owned the stage and that has to mean she was "on" something? Many performers (Joe Cocker to name just one) have an unusual stage presence, this is just another example.

  • they all are high

  • Did she used to be high on drugs during these performances, from like a decade ago? I've never been a HUGE fan so I dont know but...she acts strange. not that its bad.

  • the only performance on youtube of Fiona's where I'm almost sure she's high is her doing Criminal in Los Angeles back in 97. Search "Fiona Apple Criminal Los angeles" and it should come up. she absolutely loses it there and she looks like she got right before the show lol. it was still an awesome performance though. when she she really gets into her music, she gets uninhibited, that's all.

  • @LittleWhiteClown

No. That's just her. Check her out performing Limp on letterman

  • So broken.............a bad girl with bedtime stories to tell;)

  • I think she's perfect live, but here she seems to have some problems with the voice. I've seen better performances of this song

  • She looks like that Youtube chick, Emmajoan21.

  • She is dangerously delicious!

  • Apple delicious! :)

  • Loooooooove. She looks a tiny bit like Janeen Garofalo with that make up at times. Apologies for the spelling.

  • Not trying to be ignorant, but does anyone know why she's so EXCITED at the end of the song? Is it just because she rocked so hard? Because she did. Wow.

  • so cute

  • hey mallory...look up alela diane...she like a mix of the two and i miss people like them too...

  • de pvta madre!... q tiempos c s m... los 90 fueron lo mejor en este planeta. t amo fiona

  • there will never be another fiona apple... the best singer/ songwriter that has come along in years---- she will ALWAYS be my favorite "SPOOKY GIRL"

  • I'm all for good music. However, remember pop-music happens in waves. Just because there are all guys on the radio or tv, dosen't mean that tomorrow there will be an abundance of women singers. Perfect example is the modern state of country music. I feel that it has been dominated by womanly sensibilities for quite a while.

  • i miss artists like fiona, and jewel's old music =)

  • ME to!

  • loveee iiit!

  • she is SO skinny!

  • She's awesome.

That's back when there were some real female vocalists on TV. Now it's all dudes.

  • I LOVEEEEEEE HER !!

  • I miss the 90s

  • fuckin yeah!

  • @malloryc5584 wrong. : ) i recommend you do some research beyond what's handed to you.

  • @icebud i was basing that comment on my personal opinion of music nowadays...what research are you referring to???

  • @malloryc5584 I mostly agree with your assessment, but Fiona's come out with two other sweet albums post 2000...

  • @pissy2peepants that is true, I was mainly referring to the artists that entered the music industry after 2000. there are some talent in that bunch, but 90% are junk in my opinion and only sing what their producers tell them to. case in point, if you watched the mtv music awards this past week you would've seen "xtina" singing about her "whoo-hah" which to me is pure s**t and just a gimmic to attract attention rather than trying to be a true artist.

  • @malloryc5584 i meant *movie awards :)

  • @malloryc5584 so TRUE. the 80's and 90's were good for music. sad to say the 00's SUCK.

  • @malloryc5584 That's untrue. In fact Fiona herself released her best material post 2000 ^_^.

  • @avwhite I love her new stuff as well :)

  • @malloryc5584 She a genuis ^_^

  • @malloryc5584 and clearly I am not because I misspelled genius lol.

  • @malloryc5584 beach house, band of horses, sam roberts band, the most serene republic, black mountain & pink mountaintops, a perfect circle, kings of leon, the decemberists, fleet foxes, mahogany frog and so so many more... all making amazing ground-breaking music.. and all were formed after 2000.

the music didn't die in 2000. you did.

  • @therealsolstice I wrote that comment forever ago and thought nothing about it...it was a nonserious comment and I wrote it on a ridiculously boring day. Yet because it was agreed with so many times it showed up on the top of the page...causing people to continuously comment on it. So in the trash it went because I definitely have better shit to do than read a bunch of youtube notices in my inbox. I'm far from dead, but that cheesy line did get a laugh from me on this slow "work" day!

  • I miss this song. love the production on the cd version, and LOVE her eery voice. there still hasn't been a song on the radio this cool since. I'm on a mission to spread the word about a new undiscovered artist, Carla Bean. I think she could up the quality of US music if she were more popular. so i will make her. video for magic box is so funny.

  • She's so hot man. That beauty girl with that beautiful voice. Great <3.

  • It's funny because the styles are totally 90s and dated, but the song is just classic, you wouldn't listen to it and think "Oh man that's a 90s song"

  • so hot....

  • She's ridiculously sexy.

  • I don't hear any "altering" besides some minor amplification on the chorus. She sings kinda lightly on the CD but live, she's got "imperfect" vocals, which I love. In this performance she sounds a bit hoarse, but it works for her. And to her defense, this song is ridiculously dynamic, I'd imagine it to be extremely difficult to replicate it perfectly from the studio version. btw, i didn't thumbs you down, i first thought the same as you but I realized I really love her live singing.
