is there a way to activate ractor only when object is hit?,,for example want to create an animation where on the plane is 1 figter and two runers...... the first one runs up to figter and he gets a punch and then reacor works for him during that time second one runs up but ubtil he is not hit reactor doest work for him? is there a way

You need to create a skylight and render with light tracer, read help file for more info. After fisrt rendering, set the environment background color to the same color of your first rendering result on the ground. Feel free to mail me if you need help:

there is no script, ragdoll physics is a part of Havok physics... on the object bit (i think) there is 'ragdoll constraints' you need to add those to your skeleton

I have been using max for 5-6 years now, and never ventured into using this ragdoll effect of reactor... it seems pretty neat though. Have you done any serious work using this ragdoll effect? or is it really only good for playing around? Because I see these animations are somewhat unrealistic in a way with the movement... (not putting your work down at all) Just wondering if it's a useful tool in final projects.

I haven't do a serious work by using ragdoll. The motion in this video looks somewhat unreal, I think it need more tweak for parameters (ie: mass and gravity...etc). And I believe it can be done better with ragdoll maxscript, as long as you fine tune it.
