Everyone says that the average age is 12 for wow or shit like that, ive never raided with anyone below 17 at most. Also this game and wow are based on diffrint tastes i love fantasy mmorpgs and it was hard for me to try eve i liked it for a while but then my desktop fucked out and hoping to play this game again.

If you nano a drake (only has a 175m sig radius) then you don't want shield rigs on there, makes your rig radius even bigger, so active is a possibility..... anyway meh

definitly, its complicated though. If your the kinda guy who likes the hard science kind of fiction, then yeah. If you learned most of your SciFi from Flash Gordon, not so much. Its a thinking mans game :)

Yes, it will very much involve you into the whole universe of eve - It is the largest MMO in regards to have the most people on a single server - over 50 thousand people on a single server which large fleet battles of over 1000 real life people.... each with their own ship fighting it out with real life people giving orders etc...

Also unlike other MMO's when you lose shit, you actually lose it... you don't just re-spawn. You can spend weeks to lose something in a minute.

Weapon grouping helps change ammo faster, and you do more damage with full alpha salvos.

this game is mroe than just ACTION, its a real time user based game. you control everything. users effect all. there is ONE server. 400+ thousand users can be on at once. you can lose everything. and gain tons. the best player can lose to the correct enemy. also this games avg user is over 25 years old. its more sophisticated than games like wow. where the avg age is like 12

There's a typeo in skwerl's post. "400+ thousand" should be 40+ thousand. That would be insane though!

I think the PCU (peak concurrent user) max was around 58 thousand?

i read online and yea your right, a friend gave me the numbers and i am sorry, but still 45000 people on one server, vs wow which has a max of like 2000 or 2500 per side, so 5000 max... big difference.

Yes and wow also has over 250 servers, while this uses a relatively small amount compared, and wow is a very more demanding game as this is just click and autokill while wow you gotta be activating 10+ moves at once while movement, now shove those 250servers load onto eve's "super"computer and watch it crash and burn

From a graphics standpoint it is no comparison and from a "moves activated at once" You have at least 15 modules on a ship that is of decent size, many of which have animations that must be ran at once. So yes, Eve does use a "super" computer in comparison with WoW servers. But can't WoW players just be happy with having so many players and leave us alone?

It's foolish to attempt to compare WoW to Eve, they are in two completely different genres of gaming. Personally, I tried WoW, and it failed my test miserably, being almost exactly similar to every other fantasy RPG that exists, no matter how you slice it. Extensive content and detail don't make up for that. Eve is awesome because I don't have to babysit my computer while I train my skills. I enjoy the game cause of the mature atmosphere, though ruthless. Unlike WoW, which is full of kids.

i like how you flame something, so you get flamed, which causes a fight, so you can fight back and forth. truth be told, wow is not like any other RPG, adn this game isn't everything either.

if wow was so much copy and paste, than you wouldnt have 8 million whatever subscribers. truth is eve still needs you to "baby sit" to make money, and wow requires skill when it comes to PVP. there are a lot of kids on wow, but that is due to the simplistic controls, and there are less kids on the horde side

The pvp in EVE seem very stationary and i cant find myself to sit through such a BS video. This is entertaining to a child with down syndrome trying to see all the flashy lights and pretty colors. I don't play wow but if your ask me i would much rather play it. I'm more into pvp so I'm hooked on warhammer.

It's not stationary. Well, sort of depends on the ship types. But mainly people zoom out to see the battlefield a bit better instead of being right on top of your ship. Most of the pvp in eve takes place before the actual engagement starts. It's all about planning and intel to make sure you have the right ship and/or group of ships to take on the enemy. The videos on youtube of eve are only a small fraction of the game.

This game, although slow and tedious, can be awesome. It is the perfect FINAL FRONTIER simulation out. Potentially this game is better than any other MMO.

When I am switching weapons, and shields to compensate for power losses and such it is beautiful.

Also if you play solo it looks great, but you get a mining fleet, and corporation started by friends it is amazing.

Imagine Commanding a Fleet of ships. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice, try passive tank drake. I kill any active tank setup in game, expect capital ships. i will not give u ship or setup. but passive tanking works way better.

I liked merlin with cap injector setup:) injectors are fun but always have to carry them with ya.
