Which is better Bullmastiff or Mastiff cause some times mastiffs are kind but week in bite force about 300 but bullmastiff can bite 600 + bite force but a little domninant so i need help on which dog i need to buy i wanted to change it to german sheperd but there bite force is 195 - 199 so please help
All breeds' attitudes depend largely on the way they are raised. Good or bad. But, sometimes just like a child, you raise them the best way you know how and some of them are still brats despite your best efforts....lol
I own a female bully. It's hard to believe that they would do what glitzy accuses but it's true that ANY AND ALL dogs are capable of bad behavior. That's where responsible ownership comes in. And socialization. I have a 3 pound chihuahua that tells my bullmastiff what to do and when to do it. We also used to raise pitbulls. Over several years, we never had a problem with them around our kids too.
Who was talking bad about the bullys? I would like to cram a rawhide up their ass also! I hate when people attack one breed. People that do that dont know shit about dogs.

They were originally bred as a game keepers dog to bring down poachers by taking peoples' legs out from under them ... just never play football with them

I HAVE HAD 7 bullmastiff's and the first one i got when I was 5 months old and my parents used to leave me alone with him and he was a 230 pound beast, but he was such a softy=] whenever i would cry he would get scared and lick my face and try to make me feel better.

There is no reason to assume that it was a Pit Bull just because you don't think a Bullmastiff did it. Any breed of dog has the ability to do bad things, not just Pit Bulls despite what the media tells you.
The actions of one Bullmastiff have nothing to do with the actions of the breed, or any dog for that matter, as a whole. You are implying all Bullmastiffs are dangerous based on this isolated incident. That is no different than hearing that one Irish man murdered someone and then saying all Irish people are evil. It is a fallacy. Bullmastiffs are known for even temperaments.
Also, to say that just because the vast majority of Bullmastiffs have even temperaments does not mean that there aren't some that don't or that were trained or abused into such behavior. No matter how long you have been in contact with a breed of dog you will not encounter every single one in every single situation.
So, you cannot say that there is no way the dog glitzy saw was a Bullmastiff just because you have bred this breed for 10 years and none of the dogs you have been involved with have had problems and the huge majority of the breed have excellent temperaments is also a fallacy.
