  • Punch me as much as you want, I absolutly hated the movie.

It was actually one of the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. Garbage casting and actors, lackable storyline amost no action scenes, too much slow motion which made it even more boring, dumb death scenes, WAY too long, all the sex scenes made the movie look like a porn movie, superhero movie? cmon...

  • I didnt read the novel and yes the movie was realy confusing to me bscause the sfory was going to fast for me...effects awesome, fighting awesome, ending was preety stupid iny opinion I felt like there is much more story after the ending....well Im going to buy the book to see the whole story.

  • Very on point review! I didn't read the graphic novel before seeing the movie, and I wasn't confused at all. I can't even tell you the number of times I watched Watchmen.

  • "it was a pretty crappy movie" I was seconds away from doing everything in my power and killing you.

  • I watched the watchmen more times than I cared to count.

  • I prefer the movie's ending to the book's. It leads to the same outcome, except the destruction was in all the major cities of the world, and everybody hates Dr. Manhattan, but everything just falls into place more neatly than it did with the giant squid ending to the novel. All due respect to Alan Moore, the graphic novel is a masterpiece and, ending aside, I actually prefer it to the movie, but I think the squid was the one flaw in the book, while the movie ending would have perfected it.

  • I went to the unsubscribe movie as soon as he said it sucked then i was like ohhhhh

  • yeah you are right about being confused with the movie when not reading the book. I decided I would watch it before reading the book just to see what it would be like and at first I fucking hated it cause I had no clue in hell what was going on. Then I read the book and re watched the movie and I freaking loved it. Basically I was just like "oh so thats what he means, oh wow I had no Idea thats what that was supposed to mean" so yeah please read the book first before watching the movie

  • Great movie, but I could have done w/out "Master Blue Penis". =)

  • black freighter=giant squid/octopus right?

  • 6/10

loved the roarshack parts but they were weighed down by dr manhatten

honestly why did he have to be in the movie

sure he was in the comic but couldnt this be a movie just for roarshack? you know the only guy not raping someone or dressing up in ultra thin silk tights?

  • Well I do think it sucked, because of what you say, of course those who read the Novel understood but they cutter All supportive characters! there were lots of details missing, almost every part of Watchmen Novel is necessary theres no unnecessary parts, because everything you read leads you to understand better all characters whats going on, giving you hints and stuff, and by cutting that well it lead to a different crappy ending, but well it was a try, like an attempt of summary!

  • I never liked Watchmen, for me, the movie was lame, the only interesting chracters were Rorsach, and The Comedian, Spectre was a whore, she banged any thing that was a superhero

  • didn't read it when I watched, still one of the best movies I've ever seen. just read the comic, one of the best comics

  • you seem to be like me and like alot of movies. Watchmen has to be one of my favorites. Altough i didnt read the book before seeing it. i still understood it.

after watched Donnie Darko and tryin to figure that out. i can really pay attention to whats goin on lol

  • i should add tho. i think Rorsach, Manhattan, and The Comedian were the best character match.

  • i didnt like it just cause i didnt get it haha i mean it was pretty cool but not great my favorite part was desolation row at the end by mcr just cause i was confused haha

  • dr manhattan was boring but i learned they made him that way for a reason, and the ending, like very ending before the credits was cool

  • i was bout to slap you when you put crappy movie in this reveiw lol

  • Didnt like the movie on one condition...the ending. Warshak (spl error maybe?) died and he was my favorite person.....

  • @tbones337 That was in the graphic novel too.

  • I didn't read the book, but when I first saw the film I was real impressed how everything came together. The beginning fight scene brought me in the frames and amazing slow-mo moments. I truly loved this movie, and Rorshach was the perfect character :)

  • @EricwithNoK

Yes I know that is how the comic book goes or whatever, but that movie was way too dark and confusing for people who didn't read, if they had only expected fans of the book to watch it, why would they have such a huge budget, it's all a blur to me. And really what is the point of blowing up the guy in the ending, um...... every knows he's a convict and an insane right, who would actually believe him that this was all a conspiracy to stop the world from ending, really, really, bad

  • @ErickwithNoK

Wait, Wait, Wait a minute, so you rat on the Gi Joe movie because of the rocket being launched near them, because that wasn't that realistic. Yet, the girlfriend of the Watchmen, goes to Mars and is lacking breathe for a few seconds, the pressure from the Mars air would've automatically explode her head from the pressure without the proper equipement, so...... im confused here, there both comic-books, there both cartoonish things, yet, how is the Watchmen perfect and Gi:Joe bad?

  • I yhink Jackie Earle Hailey (sp) was a very good Rorschach and an INSANELY IMAZING Walter Kovakz. I think Billy Crudup got robbed for not even being nominated for an award for his performance. The only reason why i give the movie a B+ instead of an Ais because I feel as though the sex scene was done more like a porn flick. Everything else was great.:-)

  • One of my fav movies in my library. Finished. the book a month before the movie came out. Saw the movie the weekend of.the Wednesday release.....LOVED it!

  • either Rorshach or Dr. Manhatten were the most perfectly casted

  • I saw the movie without reading the book. I was a little bit confused but after watching it a second time I understood it much better.

  • Rorshach owned movie ending better

  • patrick wilson as dan i think was a perfect part

  • i enjoyed the movie. i'm goin to read the novel soon. why did dr. manhattin blow rorschach up?

  • @aallhopeisgone09 becuse ozimandies framed dr manhaten on the bomb so the soviets whold make peace but rochac was gona tell

  • i saw the movie in the midnight showing!

The movie was over until 3:00 am but other than that it was an awesome movie!

But most of the scenes were just people talking!

  • i liked the ending in the move better too.

  • I read the graphics novel.

saw it the first time, AWESOME

saw it the second time, WTF...?

  • that movie sucked penis. i didn't read the stupid book. But the acting was nice.

  • Rorschach is the best match to his character in my opinion.

  • I really liked this movie. I liked the ending a little better than the books cos I thought it made a bit more sense and it tied in well with the rest of the movie, so it didnt feel like they just tacked it on. I thought Jeffrey Dean Morgan was brilliant as the comedian too.

  • oh and the book was writein by jack more, David Hayter and Alex Tse just re did it

  • even the writer of the novel said he did not like what thay did to his story

  • I loved the hell outta this film. And I can say one thing though, I didn't read the comic when I first saw the film, but I understood everything perfectly. I read the comic late after and I agree with the squid ending too.

    Good review overall. 5/5

  • what no way... that movie was full of blue cock!!! it should have been called blue cock the movie

  • @tkweazel I think you should look at the movie again. Dr. Manhattan throughout the film is losing his humanity. So therefore, he doesn't care about wearing clothes. And while I don't care to see a penis either, it doesn't bother me. I just find it so hypocritical that people get frightened by the male sex organ, but it's okay to show boobs and occasional female full frontal nudity. But I guess to each his own. I don't mean offense by the way so don't go yelling at me and call me a fag please.

  • @ShaneBeacham na dude im not gonna get mad... i just feel that this movie moved real slow

  • I know that's been a huge criticism. Personally, I've watched a ton of movies that are very long so it doesn't bother me. But again, to each his own. Great talking!

  • best hero movie ever.

  • rorchack took a journal of all that happened and then leaked it to the press, which shows he was gonna tell their story of what really happened even tho they killed him to stop him from telling.

  • Comment removed

  • Film book ending was better, but there both good. Watchmen was really cool, not as good as the dark knight though!

  • I hated Rorschachs voice, I didn't think that it sound sound so guttural like the Christian Bale batman but a deep monotone like the book describes it. It just sounded somewhat stupid to me. Jeffrrey Dean Morgan was perfect as the Comedian. Silke Spectre's performance was weak and her subplot was absent, Veidt's acting was okay but he didn't come off with the same charm he had in the book and looked/acted kind of creepy.

  • I actually didn't care that they changed the ending that much since the outcome was the same, merely the means of the outcome was altered. My problem was the visual stylization, action sequences, and slow motion scenes, Snyder got the plot right, but his means of executing the plot 300 style were completely off and really detracted from it's realism. The story is realistic like the Dark Knight, so there's no reason to execute that story like 300.

  • i dint read the book but one ting i knoe i was blown away now rocharch wow for the hole movie he was my favorite why?well i feel like if he was the only one who was a hero well also nite owl but rocharch was hardcore bad ass kick ass mest up caracter that even whit all the crap on his head he was doing the rigth ting exept killing the dogs but thats only becose im a animal lover

  • the two main actors in this movie who blew me away were Jackie Earle Haley and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. They nailed their characters soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo well that i could not keep my jaw from dropping.

  • Robert Redford as Ozymandias wouldve been sweet, that twinkly eyed old bastard wouldve made a scary supermind.

  • why couldt the blue guy put pants on

  • My first instinct is to call that immature, but it was distracting to a lot of people.

  • How stupid do you have to be to NOT understand this movei, even if you never read the comic?

I never read, went to watch the movie and loved it from beginning untill the end.

It's brainless blockbustermovies like transformers, GI JOE and 2012 that make people stupid as hell so they can't even understand a normal plot like this movie.

  • Jeffrey Dean Morgan was absolutly perfect as the Comedian! He pulled it off better then i expected.

  • Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach! And in the film ending, does that mean WWIII is going to break out, because Rorscach told the news station in his journal. And just to say, I read the book, COMPLETELY, on March 5th, 2009, at Target, I sat down and read it, because my ride wasn't coming for about 2 1/2 hours, and by the time they arrived, I was five pages away from the ending, bought it, finished it, saw the movie at midnight, and I couldn't stop thinking about how awesome it was for a WEEK!!!!!!

  • oh and regarding the ending, I, like most I guess, liked the film ending more, but I do understand why they had the giant squid/monster thing in the book (but since you don't want me to explain, I won't)

  • I hate it when people complain about the length. If it were shorter, then the same people complaining about the length would be complaining about the stuff they had to leave out to give them their precious 90 minute movie.

  • i haven't read the book, but i always prefer when they transfer a comic book to a movie, to be almost strict to the book storyline.. i believe the end of a story completes all the rest, and the story should had been told as it meant to be to the puplic, i liked the movie allote, but i didn't know for the alternative ending, you made to dissapointed [for the movie].

Anyway good review..keep up the good work

  • I didnt read the book before seeing the movie, and I loved it. I went in not expecting what to see at all, I had no idea what it was about going in, and it just blew me away

  • I totally disagree with you. I haven't read the novel and I went to the cinema because my boyfriend asked me to. There were two things I liked: Rorschach and visual FX. BUT the music was too loud for me and the pace was so quick that I couldn't focus, so I left the movie theater with a massive headache and really pissed off. But hey, I'm female and a Twilight fan. Wow, that's a one long comment.

  • I'm guessing you either walked into the wrong theater or have never read the book.

  • FILM ENDING

  • I thought the endings for the book, and for the movie were appropriate for their respective mediums. If the Dr. Manhattan ending was in the book, it would've been interesting, but it wouldn't have been as devastating, hence Dave Gibbons' magic would not have been put to as good use. If the squid were in the movie, it would be all out corny, and less interesting. I like both endings. Rorschach was awesome, but I have to say that Billy Crudup's voice-over for Dr. M was perfect.

  • I saw the movie before I read the book and I LOVED it!. I'm getting so sick of people saying you need to read the graphic novel or you won't be able to follow the plot.

    BULLSHIT!

This movie stands on its own and is fantatstic.

  • Rorschach was the best of the best. I liked the movie ending better aswell. Giant squid? what the hell?

  • i have one complaint

why the hell was dr manhatan always showing his dick it was retarded besides that i thought everything was great and i think jackie earle haley will kick ass as the new freddy krueger

  • ditto to evrything he siad. thought it was a great movie. one thing he didnt mention taht i realy liked, was teh song choices :P i loved that tehy had sound of silence in it :) and and cant forget good ol' bob dylan

  • the first time i watched it, i didn't like it. it was a little dull for me. it was too long and i was dissapointed because the trailer looked awsome. the most part of the movie they were just talking. this film also felt like a sequel

  • i watched the movie thrice:)) first time was out of curiousity... the other 2 times were for Rorschach... he was THE MAN....

  • I did a review on this aswell, check the blog

  • i love the scene when rorschac is in prison and gets the fries maker and shoves it in the guys face

  • btw RORSCHACH was

    THE BEST character by far.

  • People who say they hate it are stupid, 40 year old virgin, comic book die hard fans. If you just love it then you will love the movie. i mean if u are not a super fan boy then you'll love it.

  • overhyped..trailer looked corny

  • didn't read the book(didn't know there was a book)

but yea i LOVED it! haha i thought it was amazing and i loved rorschach(totally spelled that wrong) and i want his frickin mask!!!

  • plz tell me the comic book endding in private so you don't spoil it thank you

  • its the same as the movie but nite owl and that chik have sex in the winter place and blue guy talks with the smart guy and the rest is in the movie when the fat guy and the newspaper

  • Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Eddie Blake were the best performances. Ozzy and Manhattan were also very good, and Dan and Laurie were good. The movie was very long, but still, it was awesome. And I never really liked the whole Black Freighter thing, and it proboly woudnt be very good in the Watchmen movie. So Im glad they cut that out.

  • to be honest i have never read the book i still loved it

  • RORSCHAC ROCKS THE BEST!

  • My favorite portrayl was Rorshach HANDS DOWN. Everyone FREAKING LOVED him! Jackie Earle Haley really did an amazing job with him. The added fight scenes were nice to pick up the action. Thats all I have to say about them.

And the Ending I liked better than the book. It just seemed like a VERY good ending to me. I just liked it more, do I think its better, no. But I liked it more.

  • everyone i thought played there parts perfectly!!! I freakin love superhero movies and i can say that this was a really AMAZING movie!!! I love Rorschach!!! When Dr.manhatten killed him i was like NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! WDF!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! lol btw do you know how they got his mask shape things to move? it was really awesome!

  • a few friends of mine and i agreed that our biggest complain was that it wasn't long enough. we were complaining about how alot of the book was cut out. on the confusing part not really my parents saw it and my friends saw it and they never read it. my parents liked it surprisingly, but my friends were like "meh". the ending was more realistic so it was acceptable. Rorschach was AWSOME! like ive his voice compared to batman's in tdk, and everyone agrees that rorchach's sound natural.

  • glad he liked it i thought it was boring and too long fell asleep actually watching it and yeh i did get it still wasnt that great

  • Every actor fit their rules perfectly!!!

Do you serioysly think the girl that played silver specrum or whatever, was good... sshe was terrible... but all the others were perfect like you said...

  • The movie was great! I was so pleased with it because I had read the book recently before it came out and I saw exactly how much effort they put into the movie to make it like the book. That made me happy, not only because it was such a great book, but because that doesn't happen often in movies.

I liked the movie ending a lot better. Made more sense haha.

Problem: I thought the guy playing John looked great but his voice was so wrong!!

  • The movie was great yep i agree

    loved Rorschach and John !!!

  • Rorschach was my favorite in both the movie and the graphic novel. Jackie Earle Haley did an awesome job. But i also thought Billy Crudup did an good job as Dr. Manhattan... and i liked both endings equally.

  • for us persons who did not read the book, this movie suckass soo boring, i understood everything but sooo boring, cool characters, awesome first 4 hours but the last about 6 were sooo boring

  • i love roreshack

  • Dude, I agree with you. It was a FANTASTIC MOVIE! It was a great adaption from the book. The acting was great ( especially Rorschach), action was kick ass, and stayed true to the book. It's probably one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. Though the only problems I had was the time and the ending ( I liked the squid). Thanks for doing a review on this, Eric!

  • this kid is happy bc he saw blue penis like fifteen times, haha just kidding awesome movie

  • People who spazz out over the Docs blue penis are 10 year old Spiderman 3 loving tards. Who even cares if he's naked ? Did anyone complain when Malin Akerman was naked ? no ?

  • it was amazing! i loved john!

  • I heard that this movie is horrible. The worst. IDK, I haven't seen it.

  • who ever told you that probably lacks the intelligence to understand

  • i loved that movie

  • I hadn't read the book, but I absolutely loved the movie! Easily one of my favorite movies. I felt like -because- I hadn't read the book, I was more open to an abstract interpretation of the movie that could fit along anything I wanted to be.

It was a great movie that dealt with everything, and was so well done.

  • I'm waiting for this from the library. Like five-hundred on hold or something like that.

  • Rorshach and Dr. Manhattan's origins were 2 of the greatest things in this movie. They both were interesting, stayed true 2 the comic book, and kept me at the edge of my seat. Can't wait 2 get the Blu-Ray Director's Cut!!

  • People who don't like this film are the ones who either nit pick the shit out of it, or were expecting an action friendly super hero film.

The Dr Manhattan complaints are fucking stupid! I don't want to imagine how these people would react in an art musuem "OMMMG *points finger at male statue* THIS MUSEUM IS SO GAY!"

  • @MrGre3n66 I hated this movie! Do you have a problem with it?

  • to gory

  • it was directed by the people who made 300... what the hell did you expect?!

  • Malin Akerman was my favorite character because she did such a great job in acting and plus she looked fucking hot in a tight leather suit.

  • best movie reviews man!

    probably my favorite subscribe

  • i perfered the ening in the movie and rorshaq was awasome good acting

  • Rorschach was so badass!

  • i loved the movie. the only thing i didn't care for was the sex scenes. they were so unneeded. i wish they'd show the part when the original nite owl was killed instead and other cut scenes. oh well. i guess i'll just wait for the dvd to come out. =]

  • RORCHACH FTW! I loved this movie it is up there with my top 10 favourite movies of all time! i onoy read a bit of the book so i sometimes didn't understand it but my friend who i saw it with explained it a bit. and personally i like the movie ending

  • I Don't know why people kep complaining about the lenght

Harry potter movies last like the exact same

and the godfather movies(excelent movies) 3 hrs each!

    so shut up!

  • I say film was so great I didnt even know there is comics, before movie was shoot. Now when I look in the book I can say films ending was better and best role Comediant and Rochach I can say there do great job.

  • I haven't read the book, but I wasn't confused at all. As long as you pay attention you won't get confused. I personally thought the movie was awesome, and didn't get bored of the length either. I cannot understand why anyone says it's boring or crap, it's as if they payed no attention to the movie at all. Rorchach and the entire movie is ten times better than the likes of The Dark Knight and the acting of the Joker.

  • rorsach was best

  • the only real thing wrong with the film was that I don't think Adrean Vite's character was not deveopled enough

  • I LOVE the film. im so very happy that it was so faithful to the graphic novel. Jackie Earle Haley was my favorite person in this film (obviously). he pretty much became rorschach. he was just amazing. i like both of the endings....i think it was appropriate to add the new ending to the film so that people who havent read the novel could understand it better. overall just a fantastic film!

  • I personally like the movie ending better. It just makes more sense to me.

  • the books better

  • I did not like the movie.

Cause' I didn't like how everything was put together.

That is pretty important in filming.

So yeah, I thought the film was pretty crappy.

  • anything that spawns from alan moore is good by me, its a shame he goes un-credited in his films V for vendetta was also amazing.

  • I also believed the movie was very good. Where as I liked the original ending in the book I can see why they changed the ending for the movie. Regardless of how close the endings were (or in this case how far apart) the ending for the movie was still remarkably well written. The best character in my opinion was Night Owl, the actor who played him seemed to be very into the role.

  • I'm reading the book and its really good

  • it could have been better but zack snyder did try very hard bless him

  • i liked the movie havent read the book my favorite character is rorschach i was dissapointed what happened to him at the end im not gonna be specific

  • I was sooo depressed when nightowl shouted. NOOOOOOO!!!

It just really gets to ya...

  • I loved the movie and i didnt read the Book1st. I followed along perfectly. omfg my b-day is coming up in like three days...i hope 2 god i get the WATCHMEN comics...or money to get it....but my fave character was...no srry i mean IS Rorschach, the mask made him...but i still dont know why AND HOW the spots moved. but still. ..and that sex scene was longest i were seen on Screen....and funniest....lol

  • i prefer the movie ending

  • i didnt read the book but i understood mostly, u know i just was confused on how Rorschach mask kept moving, or i didnt know much about the people int he jail why was it so crazy, but truley besides that it made since, Doctor Manhattan is losing the ways of human life, Adrian kills to bring all togehter, i got all of it, but i have the novel now, and i love it, but i still think they did a great job with the movie

  • u kinda have allot of energy

  • hey read the book it shows you if it stays true to the franchise its like that in any movie.

  • That movie was fucking GODLY!!!!!!

  • i actually enjoyed the movie, despite the fact that my friends were all like "it sucked so bad" and i havent even read the book.

the action was AWESOME! and Rorschac was PHENOMENOL!!!!!!

    BEST MOVIE HERO EVER...

  • i didn't really like the movie.

its probably because I haven't read the book.

    And it was REALLLYYYY longg

  • o and i prefered movie ending...stupid squid monster

  • Rorschach was definently the best character he kicked ass i think i speak for everyone when i say that the ending annoyed me i got very mad i got over it other than the ending the movie is 9.5/10 it didnt get a 10 because no movie besides star wars (1977) was that good this one almost made it their other than that see it it is amazing i cannot express how good it is but anyways a long comment great movie see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111

  • lol i think i liked it better that he died because he died for a good cause and besides the ending was awesome when the newspaper read his journal. i have the read the graphic novel too

  • i haven't read the book and I had no problem underestanding the plot. I think the movie was visually so great, I flipped through the graphic novel before and I think they really did it very close and it's a stunning piece of art. the scene with all the "snapshot-like" pics were great, composed like famous paintings (I recognised daVincis last supper, but guess there was more)... anyway, we drove to the next city to see it 'cause it wasn't on in our town and it definetly was worth it!

  • read the book man, and read the additional notes in between the issues, it adds so much more dimension and history to the characters and the film

  • I'm happy with the ending they picked for Watchmen. I think the giant squid-alien-thing would be just a little bit to over the top for people who haven't read the comic. It still made sense. The world unites against a common enemy, etc. I honestly don't know what the writers of the Watchmen comic were thinking when they just randomly picked the ALIENSQUID for Ozymandias to bio-engineer for whatever happened, I can't remember exactly. But yes, thumbs way up for Zack Snyder! Go Watchmen!

  • i loved Watchmen, most definetly in my top 10 favorite movies.

Personally i think that Nite owl was my Favorite character, and even though i think that every cast member was perfect for there roll. i think that the best was Rorshach because the person who played him Jackie Haley looked just like rorshach in the comic book, just alittle bit less ugly

  • Hell,its in my top five...FANTASTIC movie

  • Great movie - I honestly would have been happy if the movie ended after the opening credits.

Best superhero movie I have ever seen.

  • Rorschach was no doubt the best of all the characters!

  • This movie was pretty good. I didnt read the book and knew pretty much nothing about it, but the movie was great.

Rorscach was my favorite and very kick ass in the movie..

Special effects, storyline, it was all great.. the only thing is.. this movie seems differnt, almost like i was waiting for a specific something to happen the whole time.. I feel like it was sort of anti-climatic (spelling).. it's almost as if the whole movie was the climax.

Oh well, great review, I agree :)

  • It's funny, so many reviewers claim "those who read the back may not understand it". I hadn't seen a single panel from the comic book before I saw the movie, and I completely understood it. It's my favorite super hero movie now--it's so deep, dark, and action-packed. I can't really think of any flaws. I did read the book after seeing the movie, and I must say, the movie's ending made much more sense than the book. Props to you, reviewer. Oh, and Rorshack ROCKS!

  • you would probobly like rorschac'H' more if you knew how to spell his name

  • Seriously? You're that worried about spelling a fictional character's name.

Well, okay then. If it makes your day*snort*.

  • I am not talking about this guy. I am talking about A LOT of people commenting on Watchmen the movie trailers and stuff.

I hate people who say "THIS IS GAY THEIR IS A BLUE DICK LOL." Look I saw his dick twice during the whole movie and why would you focus down there unless you want to look at a dick. huh someone just might be in the closet.

No hate at homosexuals. Just saying it for the idiots saying this is gay because they can't keep their eyes off Doctor M's dick.

  • Plus it would be different if he was some fat greasy, hairy guy....but he was more like an artistic ICON....as a matter of a fact DR. Manhattan was my favorite character in the book and the movie.

  • i dont understand y ozymandiaz is stronger than rorschach, nite owl , and of course the comedian! he looks like a queer to me!

  • He trains in his work-out facility or bio-engineers his muscles for something. He's really smart, okay? :D

Yes he does look like a queer.

  • the actor who played rorschach was so amazing and just perfect for the part. the movie blew me away and it was THE best movie that i have ever seen!!!

  • rorschach's journal 2009

  • i agree... Rorshack was AMAZING

  • I loved the movie. I actually seen it too many times with different groups of friends that

I ran my love of the series ad nauseum.

nonetheless, it was very well done; one of my only problems is that Adrian/Ozymandias was given like...maybe 20 minutes of screentime before the final conflict. I had a feeling that many non-readers didn't really get what he was all about, even listening carefully to Rorschach's subtle explanations.

  • i havent done either, lol. but you do such good reviews i wanna go see it now. i love how you give a true review instead of "this movie sucks!" you actually give alternatives as to how the movie could have been better. im not just talking about this review. well, loved your review anyway

  • I must say that I agree that the ending in the movie was better. Perhaps there's some theme or meaning with the squid that I simply don't see, but I felt that the ending in the movie tied the plot together beautifully, and was a more logical course of action.

  • I agree, I think it is pretty clear that what worked in 1985 does not neccesarily work on 2009, the squid was part of that.

  • I didn't read the book before seeing the movie and I understood most of it....and loved it!

I'm reading the book now and it is almost done word for word except for the little sub-plots.

  • Just wait tll the end.

  • Huge fan of Watchmen, the novel written by Alan Moore.

Zack Snyder's movie was good, not great.

The movie gets an 8/10 for me.

  • um i LOVED Rorschach!!! lol

i haven't read the book but i want too... maybe then this movie won't suck so much to me.... in my opinion some of the fight scenes were way to choreographed for my liking....and mild porn in the movie??? come on now! i think it, to me, was a movie they could have doen a lot with and FAILED!!! sorry just stating my opinion way after the fact.... lol

  • Great review! I've got nothing to add on it..

I liked the movie ending more too. -makes more sence, like you said. And I loved, loved, loved, *underlined* LOVED all of the awesome fightscenes, my favourite obviously being Rorschach's "Escape".

But I honestly don't know what actor/actress I liked the best, it's just to close to call between Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Comedian). Once again, great review. *Applause*
