@fatisbac yeah ive been lookin at a 600 amp. havent gotten around to it yet. i still got the factory alternator but my battery is an optima. but.. still.. not so sure it can handle the power.
@fatisbac ha yeah i dont think theyre shallow mounts. i gotta check em again. i bought em last year and still havent put em in. what kinda amp did yu put with those?
@MrTreybarnett I was running a 300rms MTX amp on those, but if you are looking to power 2 12's you would be better off with around 600-1000 rms clean. If your truck has the Denzo Alternator you'll be good to run a lot of power, but if it is the factory refurbished alternator you might want to look at a aftermarket battery or capacitor. The Denzo alt puts out 140 amps so its pretty beefy, but they only put them in certain model dakotas
@MrTreybarnett ya it fit fine. It was a little tight getting in and out. I hope those 12's are shallow mounts or you will have fun moving your seat all the way forward.
1 question, are you retarded? what do you mean "havent ported it yet"? if the box is sealed you cant port it, its almost imposible and your probably going to do a shit job, im not one to be mean but fuck, and the custome art work...dont know what to say, post a vid of it complete (ported and carpeted) and installed correctly in your truck, but no lie it is an alright system, good compliment for music
@UNGAT0 Its actually "port ready" If you look on both sides of the top of the box there are tweeters. They sit in 3" holes, all i have to do is drop 3" pvc and glue it in and its ported... But whats more important is im rocking a 15" quantom audio in the passenger seat now so i dont even listen to the 8s that much.
i decided to upgrade, but instead of getting thunder forms i just went with a modest passenger seat box designed to fit in the passenger seat. I got a video up of it. it beats the shit out of my 8's
Nice box, i hope it fits behind the passenger seat, the jack is gonna have to be moved. And your gonna be eating the dash, one 8" in my jl box had my knees touching the dash. Post a vid when you get it in!
