  • Reason #6 ACD's are self cleaning. When my ACD mix was a pup and she got into mud, I threw her in the kennel because I didn't want to deal with it at the moment and when I took her out, she was clean and good smelling.

  • How do train your dog to break ice? <.<

  • @albin4123 just pointed at it, and told him to get it, then he started biting it, then he learned this on his own LOL

  • what about closing the fridge?

  • @GlennCena it closes on its own ;)

  • Your dog looks like it might be a Texas heeler- part Aussie/ part heeler. They are the best lil dogs. We have three. They are super smart, loyal, extremely protective and clowns. Great video. You have worked hard with your pup. Sorry about the "crazy" poster.

  • i still prefer MALINOIS

  • to each their own, i find them to unpredicatble with children, my childs safety is the first in my list. my dogs very devoted to US not 1 owner.

  • Even half a Heeler is still awesome!!!! Ive had Heelers my whole life and you cant have a better friend then one of these dogs!!!!!

  • my, MOKA'S scared of water

  • Lovely smart dog but not a pure bred Australian Cattle dog, what is he/she mixed with??

  • @asjabluedog i have no idea i am guessing maybe a bit of colie? he was 40 bucks born under a chicken coop, had mange when i first got him, LOL could be part anything..hehehe

  • @crazyfarm31 all cattle dogs have Scotch Collie in them but I thought maybe a bit of Labrador ?? it's the head shape that has me wondering. You can tell a pure bred by the white tip on the tail and little white patch on the forehead, my girl is all blue (with the tan of course) but no black patch or mask on her face. Gorgeous girl.

  • @asjabluedog i dont think lad his head isnt wide enuff, not built like a lab.. border colie i was thinking

  • I have my 6 yr old Asja and we have her 15 yr old mother Crash, I have no children so Asja is def my child!! wonderful, wonderful dogs =) like how you kindly referred to small dogs as "lap dogs" I call them "slipper dogs" because they are generally white and fluffy but regardless if you put your foot up their bums they become a slipper!! (joking of course to all those who'll complain) Nothing beats a Cattle dog for genuine love, loyalty, smartness and the list goes on.

  • @crazyfarm31 watever racist immature moron

  • @Amanda95129 right back at cha kiddo...

  • @crazyfarm31 lol ur so dumb u can even copy something right and u know wat ur dog is stupid and usless my doberman is way better and can do way cooler things like for one protect me antone that doesnt like you can kick ur stupid 30 lbs dog across the room and send it yelping when it comes down to it in any real sitituation ur dog is useless

  • @Amanda95129 A cattle dog weighs more than 30 pounds and they are not useless when it comes to protection. I DARE you to come near me, my house, my car in fact anything that is associated with me and I gaurentee you that you will be the one who comes off second best! and no I don't want an ongoing arguement saga from you, I am just stating a few facts about how protective this breed is.

  • @Amanda95129 if you find this video offensive "maybe you shouldnt be watching it or commenting dont ya think.

  • @crazyfarm31 the title of the video mileads people to think the video is bout y heelers are cool not a video that trys to make other dogs look bad

  • I have a Female Blueheeler without her tail cropped.

She is Full Blooded AKC Registered.

I take her with me when I go trapping for small game.

She is very handy I don't even have to waste a bullet I got her to kill the critters for me.

Also go to my channel and if you want inbox me for any videos of her doing what she does best.

  • I had a Labrador that opened a drawer to fetch her lead at 3pm (give or take 5 minutes) every day without being asked to, and she would not give up til she found what you hid from her. I miss her. My Border collie is smarter, won't do anything!

  • reason 6:good for reproducing mad max 2

  • my heeler doesn't like the water:/

  • I love it!! :D

  • Wow! You have an amazing dog, but I was very put off by the whole attitude of the video. See if you can turn the "Your lapdog sucks." attitude into a "Look how awesome my dog is." attitude, and I might consider subscribing to your channel to watch more of Spud's amazing tricks. I also might point out that these skills are not inherent "heeler skills", but things that just about any dog can be taught to do. Not all of these are true, I have an Aussie mix, who happens to be afraid of water.

  • @JenjenMrsHlove hey thanks for watching, but just so you know i am not here to make subs , fake friends i am here to show people videos i dont make people sub to me i could care less ;) carry on thank you.

  • That is awesome man! I love my blue heeler, she is very smart and very loyal. I am working on having her put her toys away as well as getting me a drink. It's tough, you got any pointers?

  • @insanemdrummer09 humm, well consistancy always say the same thing like "get it" or up ect...and dont train them in to long of intervals i say 15 minutes max as you dont want to sour them of it....

heelers are very smart dogs it doesnt take much to teach them, i think they are over looked by shepherds, collies, poodles ect...problem with them is they are times to smart and you have to be boss with them or you get a problem dog, good luck! cheers!

  • @crazyfarm31 Yeah some days she gets like that and I have to be firm with her. But she has been an amazing dog had her for two years now and she has been the best dog ever. She always wants ice treats and or belly rubs. Forgot to say this you have a very talented red heeler. Looks like he is in a very good home.

  • except the fridge my heeler is as clever as yours. they are the best!

    greetz from Germany

  • @Cldfsn0200 idiot. You cant expect your dog or any dog to do these tricks. You have to train it. Holy shit...

  • Im a 12 year old girl and id rather have an Acd than a lap dog. I mean i have a 13 inch beagle but she is so freakin tough. Lap Dogs are for pussies of all types. Chihuahuas are the worst!

  • @GiJordyn Chihuahuas ARE LIKE CATS THERE SO CUTE ...but they shouldnt be called dogs, they are too small and not brave enough, but they are lovellyy!!

  • @Scribbles446 Yeah they are kinda cute. And i agree. Although thy might have dog genes they arent really dogs. My ex friend has one and i call it a cat.

  • Now we know why you don't catch any fish.

  • okay video, but what is with the shit music?

  • @114TAI this song rocks its drowning pool

  • Why yes, my lap dog CAN do all of that, and actually has titles in Splash Dogs, Agility, Obedience, and Rally. Does your heeler mix have any titles?

  • @vargthewanderer yes it has a title in making lap dogs ass grass...thanks for wathcing oh did i tell you lap dogs are for girls or gays? :P

  • HOLY CRAP! Spud is awesome! I just taught my Blue Heeler a few basics, but now I want to do more with him. I read every post, glad people love ACD's!! You have not written in 3 months, I hope you don't mind if I send a vid of my little rescue "Nugget" as a vid response. :-) Thanks for sharing this incredible dog with us!

  • @unclearless no problem, been busy at home, glad you decided to tach yer pup some more tricks, they are very smart dogs! cheers!

  • Dog 10 out of 10 music -10 out of 10

  • Looks like a good dog. but did a blind man doct his hail. eehh.

  • ya my 1 yr. ACD already does half the stuff in the vid train your dog dude , they learn super fast

  • Thats a cool dog!

  • What a great video! Nice dog you got there! I have two blue heelers of my own! :)

  • Mt ACD only likes water where she can touch bottom but has climbed ladders, fences, and jumped in the bed of an f-150!! Not sure how many lives she has left she got hit by a trailer and ate rat poison a few times!!

  • i have two pitbulls mix with chow and they do that and more, except for the ice breaking `cause i live in fl but they do more than that and i have never trained them at all , but your dog still rocks!!

  • Mine did all these things, except break ice. Saw him climb a 6-foot chain link fence just for the heck of it....He didn't want out...climbed back in.

    THE BEST DOGS. Period.

  • Healers rule!¡

  • Cool video! I had a blue heeler named Abby. She was the best dog I ever had!

  • Getting One Very Soon..He's gunna be bout 11weeks old..So I just wanna Know How you could train him to not be afriad of water

  • great vid. I've had blue heelers all my life in Australia. There's nothing those dogs can't do.

  • MAN!!!! NICELY DONE! THAT DOG IS THE EPITOMY OF HEELER! TOP OF THE TRIANGLE!

  • 1st reason - Any agile dog can catch, including my breed, German Shepherds, but Border Collies are better catchers than ACDs...

2nd reason - It all depends on the dog, I have seen ACDs afraid of the rain, some breeds are more likely to like water than others, but you can get almost any dog to like it with some practice.

3rd reason - any agile dog can do that, especially with it tilted like that

4th reason - training makes perfect, literally any breed can do that...

5th reason - would never work.

  • Trained my acd to climb a ladder after I saw this! LOL! ACD's rock!

  • Great vid, you obviously spent time to train your dogs.

I just want to point out that, any breed of dog can do those, not just ACD. Please dont take it the wrong way. ACD's are great dogs, and definatley have the brains to learn as mant tricks as thier masters are willing to teach them, but a number of breeds also have the brain power.

  • Man, I want one of these dogs so bad. Like the perfect breed.

  • Love SPud!

  • we had a dog like this she used to do every thing with us

  • aww i had a dog like this shed do verything with me and my family

  • awsome dog!!

ACD best dog you can own..

  • I have a great Red heeler. He will do all but the swimming he does not want to get wet. Loves the snow. I would not replace him for another dog ever.

  • i have a healer too and she breaks ice the same why do they do that

  • Yeah I love my heeler. He does the last thing in the video; pounces just like that. I love heelers, best dogs.

  • this was bullshit i have a ACD for 11 years and he does none of the bullshit!

  • @Cldfsn0200 gotaa train them ;)

  • @crazyfarm31 Yes i have a blueheeler and they are very smart(awesome).

  • @crazyfarm31 Yes i have a blueheeler and they are very smart(awesome).

  • @Cldfsn0200 What are you talking about my cattle dog does all these things plus gets me a bag of chips and a drink when I ask him to. don't believe me go to my youtube chanel and check it out.

  • @Cldfsn0200 LOL dog owner fail.

  • @Cldfsn0200

lol the problem with mine is shes almost to smart. so smart she seems dumb. She learned how to shake hands... for a week then she realized it was a pointless trick, I taught her roll over... a few days later she figured out that was dumb too, just go half way over for a belly rub lol. I guess I should try to find something other than the basics lol. Sit, stay, lay down , and come are all the basics she sees as important to know.

  • @Cldfsn0200 you need to learn to train them

  • @Cldfsn0200 Lol thats your fault

  • @Cldfsn0200 , lol , your dog is probably lazy that`s all, dogs are naturally smart, is just that some decide to lay back like some humans do

  • @Cldfsn0200 BAD OWNER

  • @Cldfsn0200 BAD OWNER

  • @Cldfsn0200 we have 6 healers and they are all just as amazing! Healers rule, lap dogs, well they belong in your lap.

  • @Cldfsn0200 that's only because you have no idea how train a heeler.

  • AWESOME!!!

We sadly lost our old girl a year ago on the 25th of April 2010 to the ripe old age of 18year & 6 months. But have recently got a new Stumpy Tail pup, which is already learning tricks very quickly.

I personally reckon they are THE BEST breed of dog ever produced.

  • I had a red a long time ago who caught parvo and died. She was very, very smart and knew Sit, Down, Up, Stay, Fetch, Roll Over, Stay, Come, Speak, Howl, Dance, Jump, Beg, Shake, High-Five, and much, much more. You can train these dogs to do so much! :)

  • Very cool Dog !!

  • Probably red heeler / lab. ears aren't perked like a lab, but the tail's kind of goofy. Awesome video, music doesn't really seem to fit though. Wat's up w/ not grabbing a beer?

  • Probably red heeler / lab. ears aren't perked like a lab, but the tail's kind of goofy. Awesome video, music doesn't really seem to fit though

  • bad ass song

  • I saw one of these dogs today at a stable and it was such a smart dog and it made me really want one! He loved water too and was able to run through the desert for an hour and a half!

  • Dammit Spud! Close the frifgerator door, dumbass! :)

hehe... loved the video. Spud's a handsome boy. Looks like he's really enjoyin' life.

How in the world did you get him come DOWN the ladder? Dogs don't generally like to go down stairs or ladders. Well done.

Catle Dogs DO rule. If they had opposable thumbs we'd all be in trouble.

  • Great looking dog and definitely has some blue heeler in him, but defo isn't 100% ACD.

  • @mycal64 no i know that he is red heeler/blue heeler, maybe colie in a long ways down, he was 40 dollars from a farmer, born under a chicken coop, hade mange when he was a pup, LOL i dont buy pure breds any more they are brain dead. LOL

  • @crazyfarm31 Hey, you can't say that about pure breed the ACD. In fact, I'm reciting this as my heeler types.

  • Comment removed

  • @crazyfarm31 blue heelers and red heelers are the same breed. Its just like being born a red head. There could be 3 blues and 1 red in a litter. So by saying it has blue heeler/red heeler in it doesnt really make sense. Its just a heeler that turned out red, but like mycal64 said thats def not a purebread heeler. it has super floppy ears! I have two australian cattle dogs myself and I love them too. Cool video

  • @dixonm7 More likely a texas heeler. They are cross bred ACD with border collie or australian shepherd

  • Awesome! I am in the process of adopting a Red Heeler from Mass. I am really really excited! He is going to live and work with us on our farm in upstate NY.

  • This video is sick! so awesome! Heelers rule, I couldnt agree more.

  • I got a Red Heeler and he's pretty smart and almost fearless, Great breed to have. :)

  • @rrroweyaboat well take a dish rag and tie it to the fridge, then tell him to get it by tugging on it..ect.. good boy when he does it... same with the wate rbottle in the fridge , hard to explain on here... thx for watching!

  • @crazyfarm31 oh ok then, sounds....... easyish i spose lol ill give it ago :D

  • Love this video! I have never loved a breed as much as ACD's! I'll have to post a video of Taz- My dog. He's a year old. I am going to get him out hearding this winter. Loves the water and never gives up! He always wants to play. We will be at the dog park for a couple of hours and come home and he puts a toy in my lap because he wants to keep playing! • mines can do all tht too! :)

  • my blue heeler just comin up to 10 months took her out the other day she'd never seen a frisbee in her life with in 5 mins she was catchin it mid air in true cattle dog style , ie really fast and all 4 legs pointin foward

  • @OprahsFATASS LOl heelers do rock, smartest dogs in the world i would say....my bulldog is as smart as a sack of hammers compared to him, LOL

thanks for watching! spud loves his fans, LOL

  • @crazyfarm31 hahahahaha a sack of hammers lol but your bulldog would still be way smarter than most of the user's on YouTube that's for sure lol

  • Your dog rocks. They also have amazing personalities. We love them.

  • @Kommish66 thanks so much! spud loves his compliments, LOL

  • I absolutely love this video! Nice Dog(s)! I was thinking on getting a Heeler or a Lab, or maybe a blue heeler x lab mix.

  • @EmilysPetChannel79 LOL thanks! get a heeler!! much smarter! trust me we own a boarding kennel....labs are smart...but heelers way smarter...

  • I'm getting a dog soon and I have a choise from a Blue Heeler or an Australian Shepard dog . Idk which to get.

  • @wilthethrill79 heeler all the way you cant go wrong, aussis are more hyper than heelers and sometimes i have heard they can be hard to train because of their hyperness....so i have heard anyways i may be wrong but my cousins aussi was soooooooo hyper it failed obedience..?... they eventualy got rid of it they couldnt handle it......

    good luck!

  • hahahahaa thats cool the ice breaking, cool video guys i also love my heeler

  • @cb0814 thanks for watching!

  • Now thats a great dog

  • @dhaltonmorris thanks! lots of training...but it pays off! cheers!

  • I can't send Matilda to the fridge for a beer. She'd open it and drink it before she got back.

Damn dog is just a little too smart.

  • I just picked up a 2 year old red heeler today at the shelter and he has already shown me how awesome he can be!!!!!!

  • @jparish62 well best of luck with him!

  • AWESOME!!! Next we need to work on getting ours to get in the fridge for us! :)

  • @krjjohnson LOL

  • @metalmagic213 LOL yes they are almost to smart for their own good, LOL thanks for watching!

  • I can add a few: they like to catch snowflakes when it snows. They like herd just about anything, including kids, cats, and bumblebees. They are incredibly smart. They are wonderful for jogging dogs because they can run forever. We have a heeler mix and I wouldn't trade her for the world.

  • @frootbat31 yup! LOL

  • i had one and i loved her but they have so much energy that they need room to run or they will get neurotic.
