I have been in Japan and am moving there soon. They know these commercials are batshit insane. Making them insane and stupid is an international marketing technique. They make you tell your friends, "hey have you seen that retarded commercial lately for that product".  They go yeah and it starts word of mouth. Soon someone buys it out of curiousity. Yes they make it look stupid on purpose and Japanese people know its stupid.
