I mean its cool, but there is no danger in a semi. I know they had special cars, but at 1:50 that stunt driver misses a head on collision by inches going fast enough to kill both drivers. That would get my blood pumpin alot harder than crashing through some parked rigs in a semi.

The only other rigs that can even compete with the coolness of the '70s Macks and Kenworths are the Peterbilt 359s. Now those just scream classic and look dang nice too.

@amcarmannen The original tractor used in this movie was sold at auction after the movie was made. A man by the name of Mike Metzger owns it now, he calls it the "Liberty Belle". He originally built it as a truck to run on the salt flats, I believe it held some land speed records for awhile. More recently, its been rebuilt as a pulling truck, if you search for Liberty Belle on here, I think there are some vids of it pulling. It alive and well, and still doing amazing things!

For the First movie they had 3 Kenworth's and 2 Trailers, 2 of the Kenworth's were 1974's while the other one was a '73, in 1979 The 2 1974 Kenworth's and 2 only trailers from the movie burnt down in a ware house fire "While inside of it" at universal studio truck lots and the 3rd 1973 Kenworth was auctioned off a year later in 1980, also was turned to a daycab truck the expesive way with just a window in back of the cab now, after 1997 the last truck dissapeared

@amcarmannen Watch American Trucker (its a TV series) and they did an episode (maybe two) dedicated to this movie. They got into the history of the movie, as well as recreated it. They mentioned where the truck is now, but I don't remember exactly. I think they said it was sitting in a field rotting but again I do not know for sure. Just check out that episode and you will have your answer.
