No, that is definitely not true. The Halo 3 beta's weapons all played better and more true to the gameplay that made Halo 2 (and Xbox Live) the massive success it was. True it only had three maps, but they are the best three maps in the game currently. The other 8 in the release copy were a fantastic journey of poor design and unnecessary geometry.

i had a 4-for-1 snipe acctually on the jackals on lvl 2 of halo 1. all i did was snipe 1 walking jackals hand near the sheild and, BOOM, next thing i knew i had just killed 4 jackals only using 1 bullet! i think what happened was tat i shot the sheild and it bounced off, killed the jackal holding it, shot the jackal's sheild on the far left (who was walking closer, shot the upper right jackals and bounced off the sheild and used the last jackals sheild to kill that 1 and the last 1. it was cool!
