So...all of you people who agree with this tripe. I have a question for all of you.
When did you choose to be straight? When did you make a conscious decision to be aroused by the opposite sex? What was that decision like, and how long did it take to make it?
I really want to know. I mean...being gay, I never made a conscious decision to be hated, discriminated against and attacked (verbally, physically and psychologically) until the day I die.
Family defined by nature and history, a male and a female make babies and this unit has been called a family, the backbone of society. It promotes the growth of our species. Research shows that children do best in a family with their mother and father family in tact. Healthy families make healthy societies. Government should be sanctioning and protecting the backbone of society. Gay people can be in committed relationships if they want. There is no reason for government to sanction it.
There's no scientific evidence that proves people are born straight either. At the end of the day you kind of have to take someone's word on what their sexual orientation is. In our social climate, I don't think any kid WANTS to be gay. We're all just doing the best we can with the cards we've been dealt.
She did sound obnoxious, not liking someone just because of their religion. It's also obnoxious to try and change someone's sexual orientation. I'm not saying we're born that way, since I don't have proof, but I know I didn't choose to be the way I am. I am how I am though, and I'm happy. I don't see how that's anyone else's business.
it seems to me that if you either born strictly gay or straight, then bisexuality would not exist. And i also wonder why homosexuality is the only accepted alternative lifestyle when all the other ones (pedophilia, beastiality, etc.) are considered abnormal. Either homosexuality is also abnormal, or all the other alternative sexual urges are normal.
Nothing, absolutely nothing about the human species comes in back or white. It is the sam with sexuality. You might not understand this but sexuality comes in a range of variations. As a society we condemn pedophilia and bestiality because they are moraly wrong, like rape. Homosexuality might be abnormal for you but for a homosexual it is natural instinct. Unless you have a rational reason for why being gay is wrong, you can ban two or more consenting adults form having sex.
Even if people are born with tendencies, tendencies that make them predisposed to do something, does that make that thing right? What if there are those with a predisposition to have multiple partners? What if they find there's a predisposition to steal or to be violent? Do we endorse something simply because it comes with our present condition? Do we shun controlling bodily functions or other inhibitions simply because babies are born without such?

BUT ITS JUST COMMON SENSE! Why would you CHOSE to be gay. What possible motive comes from CHOOSING to be gay?
