"Shimashita" and "shita" are both past-tense forms of "suru", the verb that means "do". "Shimashita", however, uses the polite "-masu" form/conjugation, and "shita" is just the plain, past version. Use the -masu form with people you're not super close to and where politeness is important ^_^.
Speaking of Kanji, I'm doing an Internet knitting swap where we were assigned a alphabet letter for the theme of the package. Mine was K, so anything I want to send but doesn't start with K I'm going to write the word in kanji to make it fit. And thanks too the program Victor recommended, Rikaichan, its super easy to find the kanji for words. Yay Victor.
Didn't know that the same word for wind was alos for a cold. Of course you do put a different inflection on each word. Starting to learn Japanese this winter and I am just learning the alaphabet right now. I know Hiragana but still learning Katakana.
Yes of course. But that suggestion would not make you smile. I'm just trying to have some fun at Victors expense. If he knew me better, I don't think he would hesitate to do the same.
when the japanese have fevers how high is it before they like cant go to school and work?

So the usage of なかなか is similar to ~たって?
Ex: 漢字をいっぱい勉強したって、覚えられない。

You are still sick?! You should eat more garlic. Your colds won't last that long if you have garlic every day.
And happy birthday.
AguiladoMusic 2 years ago
Nor will you have any friends. Of course when you have a cold you want to stay away from people anyway.
usaverageguy 2 years ago
Or one could take garlic pills.

I think you can buy Codeine products over the court in Japan.
Buy some Vitamin C and codeine tablets.
Codeine is a antitussive and your cold will be much lower in severity.
