Robocop belongs in the past. The suit doesn't transfer to modern times really.

It will just look like a metal gear solid influenced mush mash and bet it will have a lame story and won't be nearly as violent as the original series.

Anybody seen that episode of A.D police? You know the one mean. They should make robocop like that. You would be super depressed and dark if you were made into a robot with a human face poking out... Just look at farther vader

@shellsuitstrangler I know right! ED 209 even looked more intimidating because of it's size and lack of humanoid features and emotion. Not to mention the heavy look the characters had. I hope they don't make this movie to be honest. Sort of like the Aliens movies. They can only do so much CGI with them but when it's up close and personal with the drool and all it's all animatronics. They should just do a special or something with old footage. If they make this, I'm watching it bootleg.

As of news from IMDB, Michael Fassbender has said he is interested in playing Robocop, but wants to talk to the director and read the screenplay first. When this will happen is yet to be known. The Director assigned to th helm of Robocop remake is Jose Padilha. He is Famous for the "Elite Squad" movies. They are not very popular in the States yet, but ultra gun voilence with drama is his speciality. He will not disappoint.

@marcelcs77 Here is what I heard on IGN insider. The NEW robocop is going to be played by Michael Fassbender, even though he states it is only rumor. The good news, the sketches you seen are actually mixed in to become his new costume but he will still have the original costume to show his mechanical musularness. Point to this reply, its the storyline is a lot deeper and if Darran Aronovsky can bring Batman back from a horrible death than I believe in him to bring Robo back brand spakn new.

@DrLynch2009 Regardless - his suit is a mixture of the original, that, and what we have seen from the mortal kombat series cyborgs. From what I have heard, the robocop remake is going to set up another series that connects the Terminator and Robocop and have an ultimate Spinoff. There is another comics 2 film in the works that uses the Robocop Franchise and Cyberdine Terminator movie to birth itself. Without terminator and robocop, the is movie cannot live. But roboccop must remade!
