The Cuban Gov't was an oppresive, fascist dictatorship. Dont get it twisted. The US gov't never invaded Cuba. If we did, well then, needless to say...
We just simply aided former Cuban citizens in their (failed) attempt to reclaim their country. My neighbor was born and raised in Cuba. Said it was awful. Is now very happy. Stop hating on America. Weve done a lot of great things for humanity. Our people dont condone the war in Iraq, but seem to have no say anymore.
I think that Iran is to get a long range from Russia and a nuke for Israel. I don't know if it will follow through, but either way Israel will then attack Iran and the soviets will back them.
This is what is supposed to be possible for the US to enter in for Israel defense.
In the early 1980's a made for TV movie came out it was called The day after. I was young then and my parents made me go to bed before the mini series began each night, but I would get up and sneek into the kitchen stand behind the oven and peek over it to watch the movie thrue a door way into the living room. It scared the hell out of me, but I could not say anything because I was not to be out of bed at that hour.
I recommend a box of Captain Crunch and can of Dr. Pepper. Get the lawn chair out, put the sun glasses on and watch the whole damn thing unfold. I can't think of a better way to go than with an ice cold Dr. Pepper.
Watch the Macnamara documentary movie, the Cuban Missile crisis was a hair away from becoming a nuclear reality.
Nice vid and good book recommendations.
You forgot to mention people should PRAY TO GOD.
The Chinese have a saying: Man's best calculations are inferior to God's calculations.
Russia and China already have military bases on the west coast by the way. Watch the Alex Jones documentary America destroyed by design for details on that.
Sheer foolishness!! why would anyone want to try and survive a Nuclear War? what will you see when you crawl out of your hole? rubble..death..destruction..plagues..radio-active fall outs...etc. There is no safe place! be realistic man is a dangerous animal who will eventually use these weapons. Just be prepared to DIE.
That's why I live upwind of every target, primary and secondary. Nice view of the mushrooms, but no fallout, unless they use the 100MT bomb. Look on a night map of the NW... find a nice dark spot with no lights, away from all cities. That's me!
FYI - there are no "100 MT bombs" The largest in either arsenal that can be used is 1 MT (and then only with extreme difficulty). Most (90%) of all nukes are below 100 KT - still disastrous but nowhere near 1 MT much less 100 MT.
lets just face it with earths resources running out at an accelerated speed a nuclear war the world will be prepared to fight for the last resources my bet is that our first for oil or food will be it especially with china the next superspower
Gosh, looks like you've got every eventuality covered! But really, there has to be some sensible limit on preparing. I mean, I don't have potassium-iodide with me in case of a nuclear attack. It might help a little, but I'd still probably die a slow death (by cancer) later on.
Holland for instance might be inundated in case of war. Life-vests for my kids would stop them from drowning, but the forceful waves could smash them to death against brick walls! So, no life-vests for me..the prep-limit!
johan404 where have you been in the past 30 years? Oh my gosh, your attitude of complacency and apathy is just what Imanuttjob in Iran wants. He truly truly truly believes that his mission in life is to start WW3 world wide and he has already stated he will destroy the state of Isreal if given the chance. There is no maybe about it, Isreal WILL bomb Iran first any day now and set off a wider middle eastern war, we'll wake up to 20$ a gallon gas and sky high food prices.....get ready my friend.
Scenario: Iran nukes Israel with their limited arsenal, kills maybe 1-2 million people at most, Israel still exists. US and Israel retaliate and nuke Iran with 100 nukes. Iran no longer exists.
There is no point for Iran to be on the offensive with nuclear weapons. They would be destroyed, and Ahmaninejad knows that, he's just spewing rhetoric to look good and get re-elected. It's WWE politics.
But I agree that Israel, out of their paranoia, could possibly bomb Iran.
o Israel has killed Americans (eg. Sailors on USS Liberty, Rachel Corrie, etc...)
o Israel spies on this country (eg. Pollard, Kadish, AIPAC, etc...)
o Israel bought our politicians with our taxes.
o Israel steals our taxes, hence their higher income.
o Israel uses our country as their toilet.

you guys have to think of the future target areas, the metroplex area around New York from Philidelphia all the way up to Boston, that place is prime target area with the most people to exterminate by the Chinese Russian Iranian Hamas bigots, also the large military complexes on the Virginia cost and South Cali, Houston, port cities, also mass extermination of the western US population for Chinese to clear the way for colonization, its all about DIVERSITY! think
We should have a limited nuclear exchange aof maybe a dozen warhead between 4 or 5 countries. The world will wake up so fast after 10 or 20 million are killed instantly and put a stop to this grandstanding insanity.
Theknowledgebase, that may very well happen between India and Pakastan. If the radical muslims get caontrol of the gov. I hope we have all of their nukes preprogramed into GPS and we take every one of them out with precision bombing. If they fight a conventional war it would be deadly enough I can't imagine the caualties of a nuclear exchange but the reality is vey real. Maybe the world WOULD wake up but knowing human history and the WW2 atomic attacks, we should have learned a lesson already.
Does this mean you wont be posting anymore videos MOT? I mean, whats the point? If we are certaintly going to be involved in a war why worry about the economy.
The thought of atomic war ruined my childhood/ adolecence. I was scared out of my wits whenever i saw the vapor trail of a commercial plane i the sky thinking it was an atomic missile. After the y2k i lost my anxiety. i decided i was not going to be scared anymore and live a normal life.. cause most of their predictions never happen....
An eruption of a Super Volcano will dwarf any WMD Humanity can contrive. BTW all the nukes on the planet can be detonated, scalding the Earth and denuding most life forms and in 100 centuries it will seem as if nothing happened and the Earth will once again be a lush ark of life, sans Humanity of course.
The good news about the reduced tax revenues is, the interest on the national debt is only $70Million/hour. That is before the biggest stimulus/deficit year ever. I can't fathom $100Million/hour going out on interest.
It is the initial blast and flaming aftermath that will get most people right at detonation. Of course the poisoning and harsh conditions will get a lot (or more). But, if you don't survive the initial blast then no point thinking about surviving.
45,000 caves in the US - cavesorg or caverncom for maps.
Lots of underground parking type structures without buildings on top that are 5 storeys underground and under tons of concrete.
If you aren't hurt by the initial blast and are prepared then it is possible to stay alive, but you would have to be well prepared and trained.
Food/water systems radiated, possible freezing conditions, massive UV possible, maybe impossible to grow food, etc. Forget the rads, just living in a mad max world would be tough enough.
Reports from experts are all over the place but we could have extreme weather for 10 years after a full on war.
I believe we are more likely to be hit with a small nuclear device smuggled into the US by rogue nations. While obviously possible and more devasting, Russia and China I believe are not to worry about as far as a nuclear exchange is concerned.
I agree 100%, I don't feel it would be China or the USSR. However IF NK and Iran are getting that far advanced as they say maybe they would be more of a concern however I feel as you do, it most likely would be smuggled in - in a suitcase etc and left at a phone booth in NY or some other city. This is the problem with broke nations getting their hands on nuclear material, they sell them off to terrorist groups. Russia has pawned away more nuclear material then any other nation till date.
There was a "funny" story about 1 year ago. Texas cops shot an undercover agent who was chasing a suitcase nuke.
125MPH chase, CIA chasing an Isreali. Cops didn't understand, shot the agent and the bomb got away.
You would think it is big news, but apparently not.
Search on "Roland Carnaby CIA chasing nuke shot".
The CIA says he was never an agent. Lots of story retractions by ABC and other MSM. A picture surfaced of him in Langly, but they say he doesn't work for them.
Only a couple of mins. into this post, and I already have 4 comments. I remember the duck and covers at school. I was 5 and thought it was stupid and pointless. I'm glad that you and the cockroaches will survive; not something I would want to do and lastly, the general public was unaware of the Cuban Missle Crisis when it was happening. Your dad was digging because of the overall threat. You left CA to avoid being nuked? LOL! Utah will "get it" too. At least we'll die w good weather!
MOT. you are a dead set wanker..do you really think you can survive a nuclear war? i dont think so....you are a negative creep...if you are a faithfull person you would be spreading words of faith and joy from the promise of our saviour instead of instilling fear into your country men. your a coward and a loser...you are fullof shit...no body knows the day nor the hour..but let us live our days happy and not in fear...fuck up!
shavez2shoot, you talk about speaking as our savior then you turn right around and use profanity. I know Jesus wouldn't do so and I don't think you would say those words to MOT's face so YOU are a hypocrit and a coward yourself. Keep it up MOT. You gotta have a thick skin to post videos and speak your mind as you do.
SendinK9, I still think you've got one of the coolest youtube pages. I have GOT to post some videos and work on my page but being a deacon in church then a solo MD in a rural area eats up a chunk of time. Then there's the wife and my 2 boys so I don't get to do as much as I would like to on youtube but I'm a youtube junkie....it's a fantastic way to meet great folks as yourself. Rock on bro.
Dude, I don't mean to be a jerk, but it is actually more than possible to survive a nuclear war. Granted, life afterward would kinda suck, but the point is that it's possible.
And people really should be a lot more afraid than they are. It's pretty obvious that the economy can't really recover (at least by conventional means). Really, when it gets bad enough, there will almost certainly be world war for resources.
Yes I had read you can survive a nuclear war however ONLY by chance and not by choice. In my own personal view I don't believe everything I read about this simply because none of the authors of any of these books can speak from experience but only scientific theory which has been proven wrong many times in the past. I guess the real question is not whether you can survive it or not, the question is would you want to. After a blast like that I think I rather go meet my maker instead.
Jrien, I can't believe how that people all over the world are talking on youtube and reaching the same conclussions as you,I and MOT. I hope you are stocking up and prepared as who knows when Isreal will bomb Iran and set things into motion. We could awaken to 20$/GAL gas one morning and hear bombing news on GMA. I won't be at work but at home on my small farm with my .45 on my hip in plane open view. Those not ready would be stealing anything not bolted down. Peace bro.
My socialist-leaning neighbors(4) have already stolen firewood from my property. They thought it just because I cleaned up 1/8 of a mile of brush along our road without help from anyone else. they see me as an opportunist because in that cleanup I confiscated 4 redwood logs that had been setting in the easement alongside the private road. So, when my oak tree fell into the easement they cut and removed most of it within two hours-- before I even realized my tree had fallen.
I think they were teaching me a lesson about community respect. after the redwood sat in the easement for 14 months, and since I did 5 days worth of cleanup, including that spot, I felt it just to slab them into 4 x 12s for future siding. They're view was that I needed to be punished for being so selfish as to take it all for myself.
You be the judge. How much fun will socialism be in America?
carefulcarpenter, socialism has never worked and when people in the US get a taste of it with socialized medicine they'll run screaming from it but it will be too late. Once it's in it's over.
What are you talking about? America has been a socialist nation for the past 10-20 years at least.
Big government (FCC/DOT/DOE/FTC/FDA), central bank, emminent domain, income tax, social security, welfare, 40 million laws in Congress etc. All the planks of communism are there.
I think this is one of the reasons it is s hard to make it in small business-- so many people are subsidized one way or another and think they made their wealth themselves. The small businessperson is dangling out in the free market on a shoestring with little real protection.
Could be. But if you're a creative individual who isn't afraid to fail, that also knows there is no box and that there are still millions of business ideas that haven't been invented or realized, then you can probably make it as long as there's some form of capitalism or at least a blackmarket of some sort.
Thinking that evil behavior doesn't manifest itself in group structure is like saying that Abu Gharib was just "having a little fun softening them up".
1ringknocker (a strong supporter of manoftruth) is committing Treason! Just click his name and you will be directed to his profile.. Check out his background picture. It is an Epitaph of the United States. That is the same as Flag Burning! No matter how bad it gets here, America should NEVER be declared DEAD. EVER!!!!!
Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
the dollar is the world currency and because of greed the united states has caused a world depression. next comes war.
The United States isn't to play a major role in the end. Hence the economic collapse...maybe Yellowstone will blow too. I'm no longer concerned about it....faith goes a long way.
Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. Rev 18:11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more

they made the u.s. tomake the nom and then destroy it. only few states in the midst of the country will remain.
the Bible says that Russia will attack Israel and will arrive next to Jerusalem, and then destroyed by God. it will be possible only with a weak u.s and eu.
the ac is near to appear, obama is only preparing the way to him. he's an american but now is hide but soon will appear offering
Well if NK does use a nuclear bomb it wont be the first time one has been used remember? The most safe place to be is deep in a cave or under groung. But stock up some food water and medicine. Weather nuclear fallout or economic collapse these items will be needed.
no nations will fire the nukes its just a power trip just like in the 60s the 13 days remember that? i preach the same word as you but donnot scare ppl into armaggdon..
They will fire them...your thinking too simple...a few bombs aquired through proliferation set off will be enough to ignite the fuse of total nuclear exchange, as far as destroying America, well, that might happen, but the world will go down with it. They might be able to get a first exchange, but we have enough nuclear fire power to destroy anyone, anywhere on nuclear subs and cruise missle based destroyers. To say it can't happen is unreasonable considering all the nations with nukes
You complete mischaracterized the Cuban missile crisis. The Russians were putting missiles in Cuba to thwart another US invasion (like the Bay of Pigs). The US military wanted to launch a nuclear strike, Kennedy over ruled them, and blockaded Cuba, an act of war by the US. Russia never threatened anyone. It was resolved.
North Korea is NOT a threat. The US is a threat to the world. Wake up.
Oh...what a crock of shit....another friggen idiot, allowing land based Nukes with in striking distance od DC was unacceptable, and russia denied having them there until our reconnisance video clearly showed them.
wrong........Russia denied having them there, before we proved them to be lying with reconnisance video, the UN agreed, and the blockade was inacted, rightfully so...
NK is saber rattling at the request of China. Reason being China holds more USD's then anyone on earth and they cant stand to see their investment going down the toilet. The USD increases in value when there is talk of war because everyone on the planet knows we have the strongest military. NK is a country of a million peasant and one drug addicted leader. They are no threat to the USA. Its all a bunch of BS.
I agree. Lets not forget what got us out of the great depression, WWII created by the bankers. As far as I am concerned NK can very well be another false flag op just so the rich bankers can get richer. Until I see some Sat photos of any of this recent NK activity I don't believe any of it. I am sure we can all agree by now the bankers, politicians, big corporation, and Wall St and their investors are lairs and certainly can not be trusted...They all sleep in the same bed together.

The u.s.a isnt going to be able to dig itself out of this mess with war, unfortunately they have created too many enemies across the world. I dont think China, japan and arab oil investors will wait around for the u.s to pay them back for much longer...if this economic spending strategy doesnt pan out then it will be those same investors that will come knocking at your door to reposess your country...Your soldiers are sick, tired n beaten, the world smells blood, war wont save you this time*
Dont worry, Obama will do NOTHING to NK and his weakness is exactly why Iran and NK are starting to act up.
However if Obama does strike NK, a week later he will probably go over to Europe and apologize for what the American people... After all like he said to them earlier "we are arrogant"... This is all happening because of his weakness. I have to say one thing, Bush (even though I felt he was a disaster) wouldn't tolerate this crap and Iran & NK know it. Score 1 for Bush...
'Bush would'nt tolerate this crap" He infact allowed NK to continue to develope weapons, and missle technology. Nk launched several test missles while Bush was president, he allowed them to continue..
The US Air force flew over NK after the this nuke was supposedly blasted off underground and the atmospheric isotope/radio active tests results came back inconclusive so I dont see any real threat as of yet. As for Bush, don't get me wrong I am not a fan of what he has done but I will say hes no coward like this Obama going around trying to appease Iran and NK with diplomacy which only shows weakness.
In Bushes time NK made one rocket launch and it failed ridiculously, the world community basically were pointing fingers at them laughing. If push came to shove which I feel it is at this point now, I much rather have the Bush admin in place knowing they have the cahonies to take action.
C. Obama is to busy apologizing for what the USA (in his eyes) has done wrong in the past and telling Europe he apologizes for our arrogance. Who gives one crap about Europe, what have they ever done for us outside of their vast inaccurate criticisms of the United States. The fact Obama reflects such weakness is precisely why NK is acting up plain and simple.
Does anyone know when "Duck and Cover" stopped being shown to schoolchildren? I know that it was first shown at the beginning of 1952 and that there was a similar British cartoon "Protect and Survive," but I was just wondering if anyone knows when this propaganda program ended.
what a bullshit. USA is the biggest war monger of all. Stick your nuclear warheads into the asses of your slave-masters and puppeteers. otherwise: shut up.
I think that there would not really be anywhere to go that would be a nice place to live after a war like that. Also, who would want to live through that anyway. I say drink up and walk toward the explosion. Sounds like you may be depressed MOT, may want to watch positive thinking videos (they help me as well). For being religious you sounds like you may be worried of death. Cheer up :)
Do what our last Prez did: buy digs in Paraguay. The wind currents at the equator form a natural barrier to keep nuclear winds and fallout in the northern hemisphere. Most nukes will be in northern hemisphere, not so much in the southern.
We (US) should do nothing to N. Korea. I believe this act is for internal politics only. Premier Kim Jong-il isn't in charge. The test was a Pu, 94 test. Not U, 92 and there still having problems with uranium-238 and uranium-235. Not to speak of the reentry protocol for a ballistics missal. This is someone taking control of N. Korea. Showing force to any and everyone to back off! Am I wrong, Think about this scenario? There is always some ration to an irrational act
If there's nuclear war, I hope I and my family are at ground zero. Who would want to survive that? IMO, the world would not not be worth living in afterwards. It would not be a "fantastic society" afterwards I'm afraid. I'd rather me and mine cut our time here short and go on to heaven.
see its exactly that , that shows they are lieing about unemployment . they are basicly saying that 9% unemployed accounts for 34% of the us total revenue ? Either they are lieing about unemployment or we are taxxed to much . and the nuclear thing i was stationed in japan a while i went to the heroshima mueseum it was an awfull thing and after effects were nasty people with radiation poison . and the bombs now make those look like firecrackers . all i can say about it is wars and rumors of wars
I discussed this with some people in France today and they are much more concerned about the environment. Very good posting, MoT, and would like to know why your vid was taken down awhile in France. How is George4title? Your videos are great and I share them. Greetings from France.
N. Korea test is really much ado about nothing. Their device is only slightly less powerful than the "little boy" device that was dropped on Nagasaki, so it doesn't add up to a whole lot in the larger geo-political world. Where there will be a problem, however, it in what Obama's response will be. Bush played to N. Korea and gave them anything they wanted, largely at the urging of China. If Obama is taking a harder line on Korea, it will be interesting to see what bodes with China.
Where Russia is concerned, they are looking the Mid East, but through a different lens. Their interests do not lay in a nuclear Iran, really. However, it's their influence over the entire region that gives them leverage. Even Israel is looking strongly at partnering with Russia in a number of areas. That could be path to a cooling of the Iran/Israeli situation.
What possible incentive would NK or China have for launching a nuclear weapon at another country? The counter-attack from the US would annihilate them in their entirety. There's ZERO incentive for them to start a war, especially with the US on the verge of economic collapse. Even putting a nuclear weapon into the hands of a terrorist organisation and using them as a proxy is unnecessary. Tracing back the source of the weapon will lead to the same counter-attack and again: annihilation.
There's a substantial difference between launching an attack you think you have a chance of winning and starting a war when you know, right from the start, that you're going to be wiped from the face of the Earth within hours.
So you believe it was a rational decision for Hitler to invade the USSR? That is utterly ludicrous. Also what does China have to do with a North Korean nuclear strike? That is as bizzarre as saying "what incentive would NK or France have...".
Of course I don't believe it was a rational decision for Hitler to invade the USSR. Where did I say that? I implied that invasions, throughout history, are carried out under the assumption that a victory can be achieved. This is in NO WAY analagous to attacking a nuclear power or ally of a nuclear power. If Stalin had thousands of nuclear-tipped ICMBs at the ready and Hitler knew of those weapons, would Operation Barbarossa have put put into motion? Don't be absurd.
You don't know what your talking about, Operation Barbarosa was rational albeit a huge gamble that Hitler lost. The Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact was broken by Hitler as a First Strike, Besides coveting Eastern Russia for Lebrensaum, Hitler felt the Soviets would collapse easily because of Stalin's purges of the Officer Corp's.
Coveting the Baku Oilfields, the Russian steppe & Slave laborers. Most consider the Russian Front madness, but if he had won he would have been considered a genius.
I agree ... and I do know the history involved. IF the Germans had won, Hitler would have been considered a genius but they didn't; they lost and were rightly considered foolish. I'm sure IF the Japanese had conquered the Pacific and overwhelmed the United States they'd have been considered awfully clever, too, but they also failed. When I refer to their aggression as irrational, I refer primarily to the fact that waging a full-scale war for the reasons they did was not wise.
I kinda mispoke, at least in the begining Hitler wasn't mad, very over confident in his early success's, his General and Economist's warned of war in Russian Front would have been too costly. Hitler ignored their device, both Stalin and Hitler knew they would be at war with each other.
Hitler broke the Non aggresion pact and invaded first. The war in the Eastern Front, especially Stalingrad turned the direction of the conflict with Germany retreating.
I guess where we differ is just on our take on the word "irrational." I have a friend, for example, who went $30,000 into debt to a casino in a quest to get herself OUT of debt. If she'd won, her decision to risk what she did might have seemed clever ... it's the fact that she opted to gamble in the first place that was, to my way of thinking, irrational. I think we agree that risk-taking has its place and CAN be rational. Beyond a certain point of danger, though, I think it becomes irrational.
As regards China, I was referring to them being regarded by some as a serious military threat because of their nuclear weapons. My point was ... just because a country is armed with nuclear weapons, doesn't mean it's a serious threat to the United States. I don't believe that nuclear war is anything like the possibility that some people think. The concept of 'Mutually Assured Destruction' kept it from happening throughout the Cold War and MAD, in my opinion, remains a very powerful deterrent.

The fact is, when you think of N. Korea just remember what ever they do will be backed by China and most likely Russia, we are not dealing with N. Korea on its own they are always shadowed and baked by China no matter how wrong N.K may be.
I'm just waiting for the news special report with Obama's speech on launching a massive (preemptive) nuclear and conventional strike on North Korea. 1.7 Million would be dead before he spoke his first syllable. Let's hope madness does not prevail.
Mot, do you feel safe in Utah in the event of Nuke activity? I have a special spot in the world I harbor for such events - hope i can get there if and when it happens - it's inside a country you lived in for some time
Not gonna happen...N. Korea is more broke than usual and is throwing a tantrum angling for more buy-offs/hand-outs. Spend their allowance on solid fuel..The dingbats
A Nuclear Strike on North Korea would take everyone's attention off of the current financial situtaion so that the elite could come right in under our noses and impliment whatever new policies that they wanted. Alos, did you know that our zip codes are actually military target codes? Just some food for thought. Good to see you MOt.
If a Nuclear warhead is heading your way and you are not in a fallout shelter do the following. Put your head down between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye!
I wonder what will happen if we can't pay our debts and instead demonize our creditors. Could that be a prelude to nuclear war?
Funny how the only country in the face of this planet that has used one of these weapons on inocent people is the most scandalous about nuclear proliferation now. I just find it amusing. Cheers
There are alot of Koreans and Chinese who do not think the Japanese were that innocent. In fact many Chinese and Koreans think the US should have used more than two bombs.
These guys are showing off their nukes and misiles to force the US into the negotiation table. I dont see them using nukes against the Japanes for fun or revenge unless being struck first. But hey, i guess only time will tell. Remember to duck and cover!
There was an article on the BBC saying an exchange of as few as 100 war heads, say between India and Pakistan, would create a nuclear winter lasting 2 years. After reading that, I bought an S10 respirator and 2 new NBC suits. They last forever too.
I visited an decomissioned cold war bunker here in Britain so if it goes bad. I'll be getting in there. Even if I have to drive a truck through the front door. Although, I'm sure I can haggle my way in with food or something.
Most people doesn't have the faintest clue about radiation and nuclear bombs.
As usual, Pentagon et al needed some huge threat to justify the enormous spending. And we also have the usual media DESEPTION. Dont believe everything the government and MSM want you to. Lots of indoctrination is done in the school system too.
If you are interested in reality, please read:
Zbigniew Jaworowski, Radiation Risk and Ethics, Physics Today 1999
The irony is that the US has for all intent quit building Nuclear power plants, we rely on coal and natural gas, a little hydro, & tiny bits of wind & solar.
Nuclear weapons have proliferated to these countries, France, UK, India,Pakistan, Israel, China, North Korea & possibly Iran working towards a weapon.
Several tactical weapons such as "Davey Crockett" were small enough to be fired by one person off a bazooka or RPG type launcher.
So yeah elbuggo I think we got the priorty backwards.
Protection via physical barriers is paramount. Even a basement isn't completely safe...you need lots of cover to stop radiation...either a thick load of materials...or thinner load od very dense materials. Two feet of steel is a good start!
To see how wrong the 'experts' can be about nuclear reactions, just look at Chernobil. There's a Youtube video about all the animals that are thriving there today. Not only that, but the women are way hot. :)

That's me!
pshinspections 2 years ago
FYI - there are no "100 MT bombs" The largest in either arsenal that can be used is 1 MT (and then only with extreme difficulty). Most (90%) of all nukes are below 100 KT - still disastrous but nowhere near 1 MT much less 100 MT.
Take care..

That rock in Jerusalem should be nuked. Then maybe they'd stop fighting over it.
Anyway, I think possible flashpoints are Israel and Iran, aswell as the Korean Peninsula.
Personally I don't regard North Korea or Iran as threats, even if they had a dozen nukes. I believe they would be acquiring them mostly as deterrents.
I mean, Israel for example is the only country in the Middle East with a nuclear arsenal and they seem to be very aggressive in their foreign policy.
johan404 2 years ago 3
johan404 where have you been in the past 30 years? Oh my gosh, your attitude of complacency and apathy is just what Imanuttjob in Iran wants. He truly truly truly believes that his mission in life is to start WW3 world wide and he has already stated he will destroy the state of Isreal if given the chance. There is no maybe about it, Isreal WILL bomb Iran first any day now and set off a wider middle eastern war, we'll wake up to 20$ a gallon gas and sky high food prices.....get ready my friend.
manofreedom 2 years ago
Scenario: Iran nukes Israel with their limited arsenal, kills maybe 1-2 million people at most, Israel still exists. US and Israel retaliate and nuke Iran with 100 nukes. Iran no longer exists.
There is no point for Iran to be on the offensive with nuclear weapons. They would be destroyed, and Ahmaninejad knows that, he's just spewing rhetoric to look good and get re-elected. It's WWE politics.
But I agree that Israel, out of their paranoia, could possibly bomb Iran.

The good news about the reduced tax revenues is, the interest on the national debt is only $70Million/hour. That is before the biggest stimulus/deficit year ever. I can't fathom $100Million/hour going out on interest.
crabshack777 2 years ago
It is the initial blast and flaming aftermath that will get most people right at detonation. Of course the poisoning and harsh conditions will get a lot (or more). But, if you don't survive the initial blast then no point thinking about surviving.
45,000 caves in the US - cavesorg or caverncom for maps.
Lots of underground parking type structures without buildings on top that are 5 storeys underground and under tons of concrete.
crabshack777 2 years ago
If you aren't hurt by the initial blast and are prepared then it is possible to stay alive, but you would have to be well prepared and trained.
Food/water systems radiated, possible freezing conditions, massive UV possible, maybe impossible to grow food, etc. Forget the rads, just living in a mad max world would be tough enough.
Reports from experts are all over the place but we could have extreme weather for 10 years after a full on war.
crabshack777 2 years ago

SendinK9 2 years ago
There was a "funny" story about 1 year ago. Texas cops shot an undercover agent who was chasing a suitcase nuke.
125MPH chase, CIA chasing an Isreali. Cops didn't understand, shot the agent and the bomb got away.
You would think it is big news, but apparently not.
Search on "Roland Carnaby CIA chasing nuke shot".
The CIA says he was never an agent. Lots of story retractions by ABC and other MSM. A picture surfaced of him in Langly, but they say he doesn't work for them.

So, when my oak tree fell into the easement they cut and removed most of it within two hours-- before I even realized my tree had fallen.
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
b.

Big government (FCC/DOT/DOE/FTC/FDA), central bank, emminent domain, income tax, social security, welfare, 40 million laws in Congress etc. All the planks of communism are there.
I wonder when people will realize this fact.
johan404 2 years ago
I think this is one of the reasons it is s hard to make it in small business-- so many people are subsidized one way or another and think they made their wealth themselves. The small businessperson is dangling out in the free market on a shoestring with little real protection.
carefulcarpenter 2 years ago
Could be. But if you're a creative individual who isn't afraid to fail, that also knows there is no box and that there are still millions of business ideas that haven't been invented or realized, then you can probably make it as long as there's some form of capitalism or at least a blackmarket of some sort.

Why did Germany launch Operation Barbarossa?
saurik1234 2 years ago
There's a substantial difference between launching an attack you think you have a chance of winning and starting a war when you know, right from the start, that you're going to be wiped from the face of the Earth within hours.
ClapsyPlapsy 2 years ago
So you believe it was a rational decision for Hitler to invade the USSR? That is utterly ludicrous. Also what does China have to do with a North Korean nuclear strike? That is as bizzarre as saying "what incentive would NK or France have...".
saurik1234 2 years ago
Of course I don't believe it was a rational decision for Hitler to invade the USSR. Where did I say that? I implied that invasions, throughout history, are carried out under the assumption that a victory can be achieved. This is in NO WAY analagous to attacking a nuclear power or ally of a nuclear power. If Stalin had thousands of nuclear-tipped ICMBs at the ready and Hitler knew of those weapons, would Operation Barbarossa have put put into motion? Don't be absurd.
ClapsyPlapsy 2 years ago

ClapsyPlapsy 2 years ago
I kinda mispoke, at least in the begining Hitler wasn't mad, very over confident in his early success's, his General and Economist's warned of war in Russian Front would have been too costly. Hitler ignored their device, both Stalin and Hitler knew they would be at war with each other.
Hitler broke the Non aggresion pact and invaded first. The war in the Eastern Front, especially Stalingrad turned the direction of the conflict with Germany retreating.
He did go bonkers in the Fuher Bunker.

I just saw on drudge report that China has actually halted supplies of oil to Nk.... So MAYBE---they do not have as much support as we thought!

Consider this...

Cheers
Marco81MX 2 years ago 4
There are alot of Koreans and Chinese who do not think the Japanese were that innocent. In fact many Chinese and Koreans think the US should have used more than two bombs.

These guys are showing off their nukes and misiles to force the US into the negotiation table. I dont see them using nukes against the Japanes for fun or revenge unless being struck first. But hey, i guess only time will tell. Remember to duck and cover!

Interested rates are at 2 % in Sweden on the house. Shall I hang on to it, or take a 3-5 year rate, that is quite low now.

Although, I'm sure I can haggle my way in with food or something.
strange times.

Maelfictus - You don't have the faintest idea what you are talking about. You are probably so indoctrinated that you have to think with your heart.

"get liquidated" - nice phrase!
