Me and my family go camp on the Apostle Islands in late July. Fantastic place especially when the lake is calm.

Several years ago we stopped at a beach near Bayfield and I watched a young couple unload their kayaks and take off across the lake. I fell in love with kayaking that day and now have three of my own. We took a boat tour of the Apostle Islands and I desparately wanted to paddle among the caves I saw from the boat.I haven't been back to Bayfield but I have managed to paddle in the Florida keys and will head for the Apostle Islands someday.

@allthiseverything Are you able to kyak from island to island?  How big do the swells in the lake get?

been here twice and twice there where storms so we couldnt get in or even to close the caves :(

I've paddled these caves at least 50-60 times, one of my favorite places to paddle in the United States...
