Hi Prosenjit, thank you so much for your videos! Been working on them ;D Do you have the history of banking/frankenstein? I tried googling and youtubing for more info but nothing came up at all.
@candysingapore hi candy, well i learned this dance in the summer of 95 when i was living in North Carolina and I remember this girl who came from Alabama who the first person i saw doing it. She showed me all kinds of varaitions. Im not sure where the dance originated from but im assuming its from the shouth. I dont know if you ever come to Malaysia but ill be teaching in KL and Penang next month. There is a guy name Joel from Urban Groove who is bringing me out there to do workshops....
@kundudance thanks for sharing.. nice, I checked out their website! I think my friends from Styles from Beyond - a really badass Singaporean crew - are gonna be in KL in early Nov too. Hope you guys get to meet up and session or sth. If you are interested in coming to Singapore (to teach or just travel), let me know, maybe I can help! Dec is looking exciting. I bet 2012 will be even crazier. The scene is just picking up exponentially :)
I think 9 was the Reebok, in Boston, we used more of our upper body..I never got back to you about the other step Tone, I didn't know the name..I just use to call it a variation of the house dance the skate. Much love man!
@iowaelite thanks man.... i dont care about making money just helping out other folks. i remember when i first started dancing i had the hardest time.... hope these videos help... also check out "footloose kundu tuttorials" on youtube
@drogbamido13 well some steps were named after movies like roger rabbit or the running man... some steps were named after shoes like the fila or k swiss... some steps were named after the artist like biz markie and kool moe d... some steps were name after cartton like smurf and tom and jerry... most steps were named after popular things at that time period. hope this helps... a lot of these dances were seen in music videos and at that time the mc danced as well.
@kundudance Yes, for moves like Carlton I can understand where it comes from, for some others, names does not seem specially logical, thanks so much for your 4 videos !
