  • I love this man so, so much. Like seriously <3

  • Bt adverts are stupid

  • BT has complete contempt for its customers. I try not to think about the Kafka-esque 18 months I've just endured with BT. If I did, I'd feel tempted to fire-bomb their London HQ - and that wouldn't be right. It would be satisfying, but not right...

  • I have never known a worse company. Simply terrible and how they get away with it I don't know?!

  • epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/17735 - Help the UK get faster broadband

  • 2:44 is the voice of Hugh Dennis :)

  • My BT phoneline doesn't work and an engineer will be in the area on Wednesday 21. Had to agree to £135 fee if it turns out the problem isn't with their equipment otherwise they will not send anyone to come fix it.

  • BT are pretty shit, but BT Infinity is fast as hell.

  • marcus nearly killed me, i almost choked to death laughing at the golem joke he may well replace demetri martin as the funniest person on earth (in my opinion)

  • Anyone else notice it sounds just like Hugh Dennis on the BT line from 2.44 ???

  • @oscarmofo it is

  • @oscarmofo thats because it is :)

  • @oscarmofo Well, since this is from `Radio 4's The Now Show, featuring Hugh Dennis...

  • oh dear, 6 people are on bt broadband so haven't seen the whole video, it must be still buffering

  • Your right there they cant not give the band widths they claim on their adverts all to often down to 512 kbites . Bt where is my 8 meg I am paying for??????????????????? .stop running to the government asking for tax payers money .

  • I absolutely love that dave chap :D

  • We’ve all heard the term broadband for years now, but what does that even mean? The term broadband came into being when the world of internet switched from dial-up—or narrowband—to a faster internet connection capacity.

  • BT are a total nightmare. I'm trying to change broadband provider (to a much cheaper one) and BT are doing everything in their power to make it difficult for me. I don't owe them any money & I'm not tied to any contract. They're just being so unhelpful. Every time I call them, instead of doing something about it, I get the hard sell and persuaded to stay with them. Then after they've not helped me, they ask if there is anything else they can help me with. Sharp practice company. Avoid them!!

  • BT are a rip off and give you a truly shit service, not worth the hassle.

  • I've been with the same dial-up/broadband company for a decade and I've had fewer than maybe two or three problems over that expanse. My always-on service is funnily enough, always on. Thank Christ for Virgin Media.

  • I Work for BT

I do agree with this guy

    BT SUCKS!!!!

  • PLEASE ANYBODY REPLY TO THIS!!!!!!

I just ordered my bt homehub :) now it's coming in mail but i've never set one up before :( could someone help me or tell me does it come with instructions??? is it easy to install and set up???? this is urgent and any help at all would be very helpful :)

  • @supercokey Don't panic. They come with a step-by-step guide to help you set it up. I managed to set mine up following the instructions and I'm a computer idiot!

  • @supercokey you ordered a homehub? your already screwed. my advice is to do whatever you can to cancel your bt order now and get another provider who actually deliver what they say they will. BT broadband is a scam, if you think your gonna get 2,8 or 20 MB think again because 90% of the day your using it, it will be less than 0.5MB.

  • "...telling inanimate objects that they are James Blunts - MY LIFE IS BWILLIANT."

    HAHAHA!

  • Orange is the scum of the earth u get dailup speed at peak time instead of 8mb :P

  • Awesome!

    I love this guy! lol

  • hilarious its the same in other countries so dont feel bad

  • LOL Funny

Why can't america get these kind of jokes

    at 2:42 nice automated system

  • BT broadband sucks!

  • Yeh Radio 4!!

  • the UK sure does take the piss out of us cuntsumers with poor download and upload speed and too much money a month. They are having a laugh year in and year out

In Japan they are offering a staggering 1 GB connection download SPEED AND upload on unlimited for £30 a month

Britiain isp's rips the arse out of our pockets. i blame BT for this continual theft and Ofcom for being useless spinless pussys

  • lol DOING our jobs DOING

  • see, this is the kind of humor that should be broadcasted from the US, but no, instead they give SNL.

  • whats SNL?

  • I worked for BT a year ago. One of the managers from the centre phoned marcus up after this radio broadcast and sorted it out 'apparently' for him

  • I had this problem. Now I'm no longer using BT, and since my changeover, I've had no problems.

  • @VGRetro likewise. bt stung me with the old favourite "fine print" con. moved to a telecommunication co who were yet to be deflowered & recieved STERLING service for the AGREED COST (no "fine print" con there) before the co. changed their name to an abbreviation of "TELEcoms" from the opposite of east. again, with STERLING service for no more than the AGREED COST. (still NO "fine print" con) BT? stands for b*****d thieves!

  • You know the guy playing the BT automated service is Hugh from Mock The Week. Brilliant.

  • smeagol wants google!

  • @flammabubble Oh we want's broadband, Dirty little BT takes it from us but it's meinsis! Wants to search for writing to fat ass tuneses on the inteweb, mmm it's meinsis SMEAGLE WANTS GOOGLE!

  • "git-wizzard"

i'd love to call myself that on one of those MMOs and piss people off XD

  • umm no one would get pissed of at that...

  • at 2:46 it sounds like hugh dennis

  • It is i tink

  • thats cuz it is lol

  • It is at 2:46

Marcus should go onto mock the week!

  • Yeah I've thought that, he'd be great on Mock The Week.

  • he'd be great on any of those sort of panel shows

  • hes been on it? hasnt he

  • that does actually :O

  • This is just brilliant !!!! Especially the part with the tag on the line and about Polish guys :D

  • I took great pleasure in setting my homehub on fire last year.

  • love brigstocke...superb!, and i am nearly watching this on MY BT BROADBAND THE FUCKING KUNDTS!

  • fucking love brigstocke, hes a brilliant brilliant comedian and a very very clever guy!

  • are you a newly elected MEP by any chance?

  • Hooray for Dave!

  • B's bang-on here. BT has taken on too much, the customer services are diabolical. Extremely long queues, then you're connected to an automated machine, the entire process is repeated.

  • lol not sure just how bad BT is but i tell you, for the good of mankind im taking dialupBB to hell

  • SMEAGLE WANTS GOOGLE!!!..

To download fatass tunes off the interweb.

  • *Git Wizard? Drowned. Thanks You!* Brilliant...

  • THis guy reminds me of Ashens and Ben Yahtzee.

  • Dave WTF lol

  • DarkAsTheNight - So AOHell haven't improved since the days of free trial CDs on the cover of almost every computer magazine in the land...why am I not surprised?

But back to topic, "Smiegel wants Google" - Lol!

And of course most telecoms companies like to stick you on a 12-month renewable contract, so if you move house, you have to pay them the outstanding line rental for cancelling the contract...

  • AOL is still the ultimate evil of broadband. I didn't have broadband for three fucking months because one of their idiot technicians killed my fucking modem by telling me the wrong way to fix another problem I was already having with my connection which they later told mme was their fault as well. it's also mildly depresssing when you can tell that the person you're speaking to on the phone knows fuck all about computers and is just going through a list of questions on their computer screen.

  • thank you!

  • I lllooovvveeeee him *stares lovingly*

  • This is why I am totally in love wiv Mr Brigstock, funny, gorgeous, and observant!!!!

  • I had exactly the same thing happen to me when I moved house... I don't understand why you have to wait five working days and have to reapply for service when they already had the damn money.... I mean if I didn't pay them would it take them five working days to cut my service off... I doubt it!

  • Was Hugh Dennis doing one of the phone voices o.O

  • short answer: yes.

  • Long Answer?? lol

  • long answer: yes it is hugh dennis... lol

  • Yes, he was. Mitch Benn and Laura Shavin were the other two voices.

  • My experience with Virgin Media has been unbelievably bad. The actual broadbands been alright, but they repeatedly overcharge me and they took 3 months to provide a free router which they've since tried to charged me £40 for.

The worst thing is it takes forever to get hold of them to get them to correct it on their expensive phoneline and their call centre staff are poor suffering miserable fuckers trained to do as little possible.

    I'm sure BT suck equally.

    Bastards! What can you do?

  • I LOVE DAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's mineziz!

  • ha ha ha ha ah ha ha ha

    my sides hurt wooooooo

    i luv mb

  • BT Homehubs are, to put it politely, appalling. I speak from experience.

  • Darn that BT

"for chitty chitty bang bang press 4"

  • Smeagol wants google:D epic!!!

  • I hate BT too, Marcus is Fantastic

  • Smeagol wants GOOGLE!!!!!

  • "My life is brilliant, well mines bloody not!"

    Lol

    "SMEAGOL WANTS GOOGLE!"

    ROTFFL

  • I orderd a phone from BT once, on a wednesday, they said it would be there by Friday. (thats two days.) 16 days later it arrived! 16 days!!! If I could, i would never deal with BT ever again. They are by far the worst company i have ever dealt with.

    FUCK YOU BT!!! hehe

  • to be fair it did get there on a friday

  • LOL!!! yeh spose so. so technically they stood up to their agreement by not specifying which friday it was gonna be. hehe

  • Why not use a cable service provider instead. We have Virgin Broadband internet, phone and Cable TV. We havent had any serious problems with service etc except for some down time with the internet cause of damaged cable in the area which was fixed within a day.

Just something to consider though I dont know if you can get cable in your area. Good luck.

  • To be honest mate ive tried the cable companies but non of them do it in this area. Id much rather have cable utilities (ISP/TV/Phone) but its not possible, it seems the only way is with BT :(

    But thanks anyway

  • I work for BT. But I agree wholeheartedly with Mr Brigstock we are, without doubt, the shittest company on earth.

  • LOL. Brilliant. Thank you for the much needed acknowledgement.

  • @punkmanjon dunno mate orange broadband are pretty fucking abysmal too

  • @punkmanjon My dad works in the exchanges for Openreach and he too slags them off.

  • @punkmanjon What about NTL, pre-Virgin Media?

  • @DdlyHeadshot What about them?

  • @punkmanjon Well known to have internet that was up and down like a medicine ball bouncing between two springs and experiencing simple harmonic motion in a zero gravity environment. Also, when the 'net was working, it generally ran at about 0.2% of the speed you paid for. Since Virgin bought them out it's about 80%, which is nice...

  • @DdlyHeadshot Why are you telling me? I dont care! I have never worked for NTL and when they were around I was too young to be working anyway. What has your comment got to do with mine?

  • SMEAGOL WANTS GOOGLE!!!!

  • I love the NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

  • The chitty chitty bang bang part always makes me laugh uncontrollably, though I love the whole thing.

  • Why is it when you give BT your mobile number because you're at work all day they still try to call you at home. When I called after 3 weeks to find out where my BT hub was they replied we attempted to call 3 times and there was no reply so we cancelled your order!! No message on the answerphone either! Marcus is spot on here.

  • "Taking our jobs" no "DOING our jobs".

    class. and so true.

  • it sounds like Hugh Dennis on the BT line at around 2:50, anyone else think it might be him?

  • yup it is Hugh Dennis

  • I was thinking the same thing too.

  • Definatly him.

  • From radio, I think.

  • smegal wants google!!!!

  • Sooooo... true about BT. Has anyone suggested that they get more operators if they have unusually high volumes?

One day it took me 2 whole hours to speak to someone who then said you have come through to the wrong department despite my pressing the correct key. I think if there busy they will pass u onto someone no matter who it is. Then I spent another hour being passed from one place to another.

  • I think they have loads of staff, but mostly a sensor so that they answer your call just when you need to pee.

  • Spot on with the polish workers comment... :>

  • this is just so funny

  • "I nearly boiled them some cabbage meatballs"

    lmfao

  • rofl yh

  • I had almost EXACTLY this experience when trying to install BT broadband.

  • I was crying with laughter listening to this

  • ill thankyou just defending bt broadband

  • wow...serious anger.

  • "Cock up your scrotum?" I think that's physically unlikely.

  • hmm me wants to download phat-ass tunes from the interweb but it's minesz!

    meegle wants GOOGLEZ!

  • chrispatmore calm down it is a joke BT im sure are good most of the time but everyone has an error so calm DOWN!

  • Oh my god if you're an employee of BT that really explains a lot.

Tell me good sir, are all of your colleagues as charming with their words as you are? Is that how you deal with disgruntled customers? "piss off u gay fuck".

Ah, whatever happened to service with a smile?

  • lighten up B.T its comedy, it takes the piss out of everyting

  • I've just been through exactly that. I hate the way individuals at B.T play tennis with their customers, bouncing them between departments as they simply can't be arsed to deal with it themselves. Something very important I learnt from my experience is as soon as you get the through to a real person instantly demand to speak to a supervisor.Ignore their mind games at this point and just continue to ask for one

  • I wish people would care enough to do what they say they are going to do without you having to take their name and threaten them but it seems like this is the only way sometimes.

  • Understand is having all the expertise money could buy and still being as rubbish as our friends at BT (formerly known as British Telecoms for all you Marathon eaters out there!). Most people that are worth you even considering their opinion can understand mistakes but if they are able to have that amount of empathy it would only make sense that they were not stupid enough to understand people not doing their upmost to fix it....

  • I do not like the systems, I particularly dislike the level of customer service but I have recently grown to understand the complexities of running a company. I have my own company which is still in its early stages, i work for myself and have had to put my life on hold, i find it so difficult to make everything work together although i am trying my hardest. It is for this reason that i am able to understand things not working, as i did to some degree before, but what i can not...

  • I love you Marcus, everything you say makes sense, down to earth is the way forward although I do believe that humans are incapable of achieving perfection I do not see why we can't give it a good go?! I have had my fair share of dealings with British Telecoms, oh wait no, i mean BT!! I have had my fair share of dealings, as I'm sure everyone has, with a lot of big companies....

  • stoned jonesy: i work for bt and Openreach is the arm of BT that looks after the network for all providers (not virgin though). They were set up by BT Group in 2006 as ofcom deemed that BT Retail had an unfair advantage over the network (which is bollocks). It is because of this BT has gotten so shit as now BT Retails systems have been taken away and replaced with crap with no access to anything so basically we can't get our jobs done.

Bridgstocke is funny tho and blaine is a complete bell-end

  • yeah but virgin media = rubbish, it breaks nearly every day and when you phone them up they're about as useful as a condom machine in the vatican. They have the mental skills of a roadkill badger.

  • Spot on mate

  • thanks dude sick of cocks on this site thinking they can moan about something they r at fault for pack of bastards. lol

    cheers m8

  • sky is like bt both for posh toffs. who dont mind getting ripped off

  • virgin has fibre optic cable , thus allowing on demand seasons and episodes at an instant . sky cant do that. virgin have better and cheaper packages. sky you suck and the posh people who use it are getting ripped off

  • BT SUCK!!!

They keep the monopoly over the other companies as they own the phone line exchange. We moved house and had a really cheap deal with Tiscali and now we have had no choice but to go BT & are bullied into an 18 month contract with them for the phone line. We have the BT Home Hub which is shite it keeps losing signal on the wireless network! Lets just invest in some walkie talkies or a CB!

  • virgin media/ntl for the win anyday

  • oh FYI for all you people who insist on calling it british telecom please stop

its call BT and has been for quite some time

its just like calling a mars bar a marathon bar or starburst opel fruit

    just no

  • I love you Marcus, everyhting you say makes sense, down to earth is the way forward although i do believe that humans are incapable of achieving perfection i do not see why we can't give it a good go?! I have had my fair share of dealings with British Telecoms, oh wait no, i mean BT!! I have had my fair share of dealings, as i'm sure...

  • marcus brigstocke, you beautiful man you! i cannot say how much i hate bloody british telecom and david blane too :)

  • virgin cable fibre optic is the future, richard is the kind

  • Is it me or does every single person who gets BT broadband have problems? We got it and omg what a pain to set up...

  • im with BT and i have never had a problem

  • My boss's broadband was out of action for three months while BT Broadband (ISP) blamed BT Openwound (who owns the lines) and vice versa. It was pathetic.

  • openreach dont own the lines

    BT own the lines

    Openreach are "hired" by BT

    to fix the lines etc

  • OK, thanks for the correction.

I'll find out more as I'm about to move to somewhere Virgin/Telewest don't cover.

  • I just wished I'd heard this 6 months ago when I wanted all hell unleashed on BT for screwing up the reconnection of the phone line in my new flat to the tune of a month. Hmm, though no internet for that period and no chance of using the useless sods for that!

  • do not go with bt- we had 6 bt engineers come out to the house to 'not' fix anything- not a single one of them was with bt- they were all with virgin- they all said bt were the worst.

  • for chitty chitty bang bang press 4 lol

  • Marcus hits the nail right on the head here. BT are a complete bunch of wankers. It took me 5 months to get connected with the internet. They are so incompetent.

  • Totally with Marcus on this... and most other things. BT is your worst ever nightmare. Every time I have phoned them they have had "unusually high" levels of calls, including one Saturday night a 11.30. Marcus rocks; without a doubt the funniest man in the UK.

  • my friend who is 87 got talked into getting bt broadband. He paid his money, he is still waiting. He can never get it as he is 11k from the exchange, but they still told him he could get 6meg. bt sucks. well done for the little expose... chris

  • 912 views ago, psiclick was the 13,000 person to watch this!

    woooooo! ^___^

  • woo hoo I am the 13,000th viewewr. Brigstock is the voice of the people.

I was the 120th person to buy a bus ticket on my local bus route this morning lol !!

  • Lol Americans /giggle

  • Americans ARE gits. I should know, I'm one of them.

  • Racist? Americans have become their own race now?

    Twat.

  • It's just a genetic similarity caused by the American Irony Deficiency.
