I love how human Dr. Fu is. He is a cool minded diabolical evil genius criminal mastermind, yet also a megalomaniac. "Train hard, no smoking! Lights out nine o'clock! All weekend leave to Nepal.... CANCELLED!"
Personally I thought this and being there were his best films...and of course Dr. Strange-love. Pink Panther Strikes again was good...Revenge...OK..the rest....he didn't have the character developed yet. Had he lived I'm sure we'd have had at least 1 more Epic PP film.
A poor ending for a career like the one PETER SELLERS had, but then again, there are a lot of actors who have made only worse movies than this one ...
Take Chuck Norris, he should die for the chance of once making a proper movie like this one, haha

wow, so many disappointed viewers in Peter Sellers as:Dr. Fu Manchu ,and Neyland Smith of scotland yard. I saw it in 1980. It was the 1st movie I saw on my newly installed HBO. I rather enjoyed it. I found it to be a movie fun to watch more than a funny movie. It was 10x better than the GARDENER; also a movie he made shortly before his death. I thought Sid Ceasar stole the show as Caponee the fbi agent from Chicago. I never put stock in movie critiques.

lol, 2 questions. have you ever read on imdb ore other sites that says that this movie sucks and that it is his worst film ever. and if you think this movie has a neat ending, well that means that you are a fucking peter sellers nerd, it sucks more than your grandmas balls. ps: i have seen this film and i must say, that was waste of time!!! he should have kept him self to the pink panthers, that is some brilliant movies!!
2 questions. When did you last see this, and do you know anything of the Goon show? I watch it regularly and it is actually quite a good movie. Some of the jokes (Fred being his first name was something the Goon show came up with) are inside jokes sure, but it the ending (not him singing the scene before it with Fu Manchu and Nayland Smith in Fu's lab) is one of the neatest endings in a movie.

Perhaps because we were such big Pink Panther fans we expected more. I don't know. But I found this so disappointing. I couldn't believe Peter Sellers would make this.

Watching this 50 times on HBO in 1982 made it seem not half bad. But I havent seen it since 1982, so maybe it is pretty good after all.
