What a fucking joke of a video. Utah still offers the firing squad, as does Oklahoma and several other states. Plus, what fucking accent is that? Aint American, get the fuck out.
in the bible and in pass times, people executed hard core criminals and people today are just stuck in fantasy world.it dont make since to keep them slim balls alive for the rest of their life
I'm surprised we still go about doing things such as lethal injections when something as simple as a shot to the head is far more efficient. Why do we shy away from using firing squads? Because it's not "humane" enough, despite that we're taking the life of another person against their will nevertheless?
@pccrybabyhater How can you honestly say that? Look back in history at the lives and the reversal of their decisons of executioners. They really know it is wrong and in the end state so. How can you as a human being be so sure that is what God our creator wants or even that the person is even guilty? Could you honestly live with yourself if you killed someone? Innocent or not it is not up to us!
@sandygts oh i see so your against the death penalty but you have no problem with what it says in the bible about stoning a homosexual to death for lying with another man okaaaaaay
@pccrybabyhater No I DO NOT agree with that. It is not my place to question God as He has a reason for everything He does.
There has been so much violence in the name of religion for thousands of years and I complely disagree with it. That however does not deter my faith in God in the least.
Everytime the gas chamber is used they test it EVERYTIME on two rabbits.
So we've got to kill two perfectly innocent creatures of this green earth just to make sure its gonna 'really' kill them. WFT. I think a hydrolic guilotene would be MUCH better. The leathal injection is not a detterant to people who have nothing to loose.
agree with you firearmdefence on the logitic point of view , personnally , l dont really look for a human way to put the criminal to dead. if he suffer or not , l could not care less.
He didn't feel a thing. 4 rounds through the heart, a rapid drop in blood pressure, and he lost consciousness immediately. I guarantee it. Now of course if Ronnie Lee Gardner were still alive he would probably ask me, "How the fuck would you know?"
But what the hell. Even if it did hurt who the hell gives a shit?
At least the firing squad doesn't mock medical procedure by trying to emulate it. I'm not just speaking symbolically. If an execution can become a medical procedure, then maybe the reverse can happen. Especially if it ever comes down to a capital offence being failure to measure up to a subjective standard of social usefulness.
Oh time out there, friend. First, you provide proof and evidence that 'god' has ever decided to end anyones' life and then dealt with them in some kind of 'after life' and we can trust you.
Until you provide proof and evidence, we must deal with murderers and other bags of flesh sucking up resources and taking lives.
Almost every Christian that I talk to is in favor of the death penalty and when I bring up the story of Jesus saying "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone", they trip all over their tongues trying to figure out how to justify their position.
@fsmdidit If you don't have CP 4 murder, you'll ALWAY's have murder for CP. It'll always be a capilal offence for a woman to not have sex w/ a rapist. That's a throat-slashing offence-shame on her!(sarcasm) It will be always be a capital offence to not pay a bank robber. You're only kidding yourself if you think you can make CP go away. It will always exist in one form or another. To not make murder1 a CO is to make the victim a worse offender.
@niflap I was making the point that capital punishment is antithetical to Christianity, yet Christians to be all for it, but I'll address your point. It's very simple, it is not worth killing innocent people in order to get your revenge. Death row inmates are exonerated and released with disturbing frequency. Just think of how many are murdered, going to their deaths knowing that everyone thinks they are this monster. For their sakes, everyone should be given their lifetime to seek justice.
@fsmdidit I'm all in favor of restricting the criteria under which capital punishment can be applied, including giving as much benefit of doubt as possible. But innocent people are being "executed" all the time who aren't even suspected of wrongdoing worldwide. It's called murder. If you don't have at least a potential to execute such "executioners", you make murder victims look like worse offenders than the ones who poached them. You can't eliminate CP for people not even accused of wrongdoing.
@niflap Your logic baffles me. I can't understand how someone can hold to task a person who is murdered because their murderer isn't murdered. And even if that were so, it would only be an offensive opinion, which is far less of an offense than killing an innocent (although convicted) person.
@fsmdidit I think the average copkiller on death row has a much better chance of surviving than the average framed cop in general population over the same period of time. Contrary to popular opinion, child molesters are NOT the most targeted in prisons. At least DR targets the worst offenders.
@niflap I'll grant you your points but they don't address the fact that the death penalty necessarily kills innocent people. How many innocent people is it okay to kill each year to make sure that we kill the guilty as well? What do you think an appropriate ratio is? 1 innocent for every 1000 guilty, are you comfortable with this? I've found that the people who I discuss this with always redirect the discussion away from killing the innocent. So what do you think about executing the innocent?
@fsmdidit um...dude.Justice was granted. if your family was murder, your telling me you would be ok paying for that man to stay in prison lol? I mean you would pay for the very person that killed your family.... WAKE THE FUCK UP.
@Dogmeat1950 I'm fully awake my friend, and no I don't like the idea of spending money for decades on murderers. In fact I'd like to see them all die in agony. But I am more concerned with the people who have been wrongfully convicted. I can't see how anyone can justify murdering the innocent (although convicted) people who fall through the cracks.
Avenging murders through the death penalty would be great if it didn't mean that we have to necessarily murder the innocent.
@lookman373 Bobby, Sally, daddy has a confession to make. Do you remember how I told you that mommy went away on vacation? Well that's not entirely true...
you are right cops should not be doing the executions, it should be prisons guards or maybe the governors, judges or jury members that do the deed. I really dont kn ow what to thin of your comment, I dont agree with the death penalty or locking be in cages to " fix" them so yeah I dont know what to think of your comment. But on another note the guy wanted the firing squad, I think maybe because he could die outside and see nature before he went?
This system was nowhere before the pale face came into these lands. Kill them ALL and don't bother setting up a museum or merchandising off the back end. Disneyland hypocrites.
simply, instead of them sitting in jail using tax payers money for 10-25 years, why not just have them PUBLICLY executed, by the cheapest most efficient ways possible. firing squad is very cost efficient. so is death by hanging. if we show the criminals that we mean business, crime rate is sure to plummet. i mean if they are caught in a crime now, they have a jail cell with a bed, sink, and toilet with a pillow. then they get 3 GOOD meals a day, a library, SOME TV, and fitness equipment.
i think firing squad isnt exactly right but not wrong but i also think as soon as a man/woman is convicted and sentenced to death they shouldnt be in prision for 20 years... what i mean by this while a murderer is siting in prision the tax payers money when that money could be going to helping the poor or even donating to school or orphans... i think they should be exucuted within the week of the conviction so they get what they deserve.
@bigc0225 Papa-a-mow-mow, papa-ooma-mow-mow Papa-ooma-mow-mow, ooma-mow-mow Papa-ooma-mow-mow, ooma-mow-mow Papa-oom-oom-oom-oom-ooma-mow-mow Oom-oom-oom-oom-ooma-mow-mow Ooma-mow-mow, papa-ooma-mow-mow Papa-ooma-mow-mow, ooma-mow-mow Well don't you know about the bird? Well, everybody knows that the bird is the word! A-well-a bird, bird, b-bird's the word!!
@distotedyouth They need to have the ability to appeal the sentence, just like any other sentence. In fact, it's even more important to have the ability to appeal because once the punishment is carried out, you can't appeal. There have been people who have been falsely executed, and it needs to be avoided. BUT I think that there needs to be either a limit on the number of appeals, or the number of years until the execution so we don't have them on death row for decades.
i can understand what your saying but there will always be good and bad people in the world no matter whether the death penalty is active or not. No should deserve the right to choose who lives and who dies.
Rapists, Dirty cops who plant drugs or pull women over & rape them, Crooked judges who take bribes, Kidnappers, Child Molesters (though I'd grant amnesty for those who turn themselves in under the condition that they remain in prison and spend their time helping investigators find other pedophiles.) That being said, I still recognize that many innocent people have been falsely accused, convicted and put to death so it shouldn't be applied to all cases,
The other thing that boggles my mind is many of the protesters of capital punishment believe in heaven and an afterlife. So why is it such a tragedy to you people (Christians, etc.) that murderers are repenting of their sins and going to heaven? It seems like you would be happy. You have to remember that the murderers on death row unlike their victims had the luxury of knowing when they would die. If they still choose not to repent of their idiotic choices, don't look to me for sympathy.
All of you people who're so bent out of shape about a murderer on death row being shot, when that's what he asked for, need to quit whining about the death penalty and get something straight here. What you should be doing is organizing anti-war protests and organizing to bring our troops home. There's good guys being shot at on both sides every day! Prioritize people...
it's not your life to take. They desire too take lives in retaliation w/no good left too share & have already lost sight of why were here. with little electric chairs in their minds & sleep w/a noose for comfort finding none & wonder why there is no satisfaction, only a hunger/desire for their own obsession sick w/superiority locked in a animistic existence without hope, limited by their own lack of understanding, given to impressing those washing in blood seeking to fix a hole they keep digging
Four to the heart is as classy as it gets. He asked for for the firing squad and was kindly obliged by the state of Utah. He was likly the last one, it will be lethal injections for all from now on.
The first person executed in the United States by firing squad after the Supreme Court reinstated capital punishment in 1976 was Gary MARK Gilmore on Jan. 17, 1977. The date was exactly five years before NBA player dWAYNE tyrone “FLASH” WADE was born on 01/17/82. Unrelated: 242-58-5091 even if sister WADE’s classroom was next in order when Gilmore died on 1/17/77. An AUG. 21, 2007 expiration: exactly ten years before the next total solar eclipse visible in the United States on AUG. 21, 2017
I’ll give you this, Jerry Givens (former executioner for the Commonwealth of Virginia): The Russia Today anchor’s use of the word ROUSE at :16, fits nicely with the 1981 split considering the first man executed by firing squad after the Supreme Court reinstated capital punishment in 1976 was Gary MARK Gilmore. His parents FRANK & BESSIE Gilmore, which fits nicely with the character BESSIE MEARS in Richard WRIGHT’s “Native Son”. Unrelated: the 121 Whitfield address for MEARS

The influence of movies or maybe it’s actually changed in the state of Utah over the course of 3 firing squad executions since 1977, but am I the only one who’s surprised RONNIE LEE Gardner’s firing squad “death chamber” was indoors? How long has this been the case? Condemned inmate RONNIE LEE Gardner is unrelated to watch?v=5w3TFrXGYgo or the 4413 gang, despite having US 258 and GENNIE’s Grocery in common. Unrelated: John GOODMAN in post-KATrina N.O. “Treme” & 1999’s Floyd submerging GLENNIE’s
Federal response to Hurricane KATrina is used politically by detractors to define the presidency of George WALKER Bush. Fittingly, Hurricane Floyd submerged GLENNIE’s in Princeville six years earlier. Switching the F for a C in FLOYD makes CLOYD, fitting nicely with American Government in high school and the pressing need for voters to become educated so there are fewer mistakes in the WHITE HOUSE and other high elected offices. VURN sounds like VERN. Jim VARNey (d. 2/10/00; WHITE HOUSE, TN)
I was able to squeeze these insights from online media reports: RONNIE Lee Gardner—executed by the state of UTAH on 6/18/10--was convicted in the Oct. 1984 killing of melvYn OtterSTROM (529-62-2798), a bartender at Cheers Tavern in Salt Lake City, UT. He was the glue in our family," said niece JENNy SedgWICK. "Melvyn was security and safety to us, and when he was gone, it was, 'Now what?' He was safety; he would be there to help us if we needed him. Unrelated: JENNie M. RusSELL (246-62-0093)
RONNIE LEE Gardner’s last ditch proposal for clemency involved his participation with a proposed 160 acre farm his brother wanted to create to help troubled children positively direct their lives. While BOX ELDER County, Utah has the town of ETNA, it’s unrelated to the former ETNA Self Service (now KANGAROO EXPRESS) at 826 Main in 27874 (street address matching town’s original 826 NXX—oddball 500 NXX added Nov. 29, 2004). Should they not do the same with George W. Bush, etc.??? He has been on a corner and have killed people. Only the us they think that such punishments will help
lot of people talk to god , but god never talk back to them , if u hear any voices u need medical attention , for surely , god is an emotional attitude ,
I think mental torque is better. Confinement away from population for a long time. Call it cynical. I think the criminal should get acquainted with their problem if they created one and suffer to their own demise. Instant Death takes that equation out quickly, no problem right,?
Punish longer but without the prison luxury something closer to a hole just to get acquainted and they will probably take themself out of this life.
death penalty should be mandatory for ALL those who commit horrible crimes!!! the individual knew what they were doing at the time they commited the crime and they know what they're consequences are!!!
they should bring back the death penalty back to britain which could include firing squad and stoning or cutting the arm off you stole using like they do in africa and the middle east.
9billion people on this planet . Thousands of innocent lifes perish daily. What's one defected/demented/tax consuming/scumbag killed per year? Nothing. They should do mass executions for hardcore criminals like this parasite.
And I'd be more then willing to rid the world of them.
@frazerw16 true. but since our society isn't able to cater to each and everyone of us... some slip through the cracks and ... just like cancer. cut out or kill the bad cells in order to keep the rest of the body functional.
the death penalty, is wrong. in my humble opinion . our society should be able to figure out a better way to deal with this . instead of having someone execute them , just deny them food and water. that way no one has to KILL WHAT DO YOU THINK .
@MCGETRICK2 Denying food and water will kill the person. That's no different than pulling the trigger. Death by deliberate negliance is the same as deliberate execution.
People think Lethal injection is the best way to go out but that is not true. The cocktail has a paralysis that makes you unable to move but feel pain, but then the other poison attacks the hell out of the heart with immense pain. Lethal injection is no walk in the park, extreme pain.
What i don't get : If 1/5 riflemen has the "ineffective" round, how does that completely rule out whether a rifleman knows he has fired the fatal shot? There's an 80% chance that he actually DID, and that's pretty damn good. Now if 4/5 had "ineffective" rounds, then you're down to a 20% chance that you fired the fatal shot, and that introduces serious doubt. But of course then there's only one round fired...but you'd think one 30-cal round to the heart would do it.
@teabagginue hmmmm, so if there was 1000 riflemen, and 200 had ineffective rounds,, would it make you feel better? 1 in 5 is still good odds for not firing a live round, think of it as playing russian roulette,,
No, because you can still say "there's an 80% chance that I shot this man". It's probable that you had a live round. If only 1/5 had the live round, it becomes IMprobable that you fired that round. I think that scenario better matches the roulette analogy...you'd need a death wish to play Russian roulette with 4 out of 5 chambers loaded!
the prison system is packed......thats why they use the death penalty....the lawmakers dont care how ugly of a job it is as long as those people are being disposed of then they are happy.....i think we should make the judges do the dirty work so that they will stop handing out the death penalty like freed condems..if the judge has to inject or shoot the person then they will only give the penalty to those that desearv it.then again some judges could get bloodlust and do it for fun...
Let God decide?? LOL. God already decided in the Old Testament.....murderers are to be put to death.....Thou shall not commit murder.....duh!! I only support the death penalty in clear cut cases such as caught on video or confessions. We also need safeguards such as kiliing the judge, jurors, executioners, cops, and prosecutors if the person is later found to have been innocent and there was a deliberate effort to convict an innocent man....kill all the assholes involved, so people think twice
This video is a waste of time, has very little to do with the firing squad execution of scumbag murderer Ronnie Lee Gardner who publicly stated he wanted to escape from prison. Instead it features a former executioner in Virginia, who has memories of burning flesh.
i wanna shake this mans hand, someones gotta do it, what if your son/daughter got shot and they released the killer, or maybe his/her killer is sat in jail beating his dick over what he has done,
This guy is an idiot, G-d clearly says that a man who commit murder shall get killed by another man, killing murderer is a great act of justice and its G-d will, not mans.
Yea baby thats what I am talking about! Start killing these mother fuckers and fast we do not need them on our planet! We need to do this more often capital punishment is the only true justice left! If you commit murder you shoould be killed no doubt 100%
@Vegas01973 If it sounds like a great job to you why don't you apply for it? Something tells me that there is no huge line of people applying for the position so there you go follow your dream and heart.
@discovery1983 Thanks for the encouragement! But since you couldn't tell I was only joking about wanting the job of executioner. I wish there was no such thing as a need for death row but as long as people insist on being murderers they don't leave society much choice. If you are against capital punishment the best thing you can do is not murder people. Then you won't be murdering yourself as this guy did. I don't get why there is so much sympathy for murderers who spend decades on death row!!!!
@Vegas01973 I have no sympathy what so ever for murderer period. But if I am the one to take his life hell no. Let him leave. He is not worth it. I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night thinking about someone who is not worth it. If I ever had to kill animal in order to eat meat I would be vegetarian for sure. I wouldn't miss meat at all. Not to mention man.
@Vegas01973 There something very scary too I think that right now it has been confirmed that 138 executions in this country in the past I think 140 years were proven to be brought upon innocent people!!! Now I know that there is no dough about this dude. At list we know that he killed a lawyer in the court while he was trying to escape.
But there are many people out there who are on death row and we cant say 100% that they are guilty. Unless we are 100% sure execution is madness.
@discovery1983 You're right. I agree with you. The problem with trying to improve our legal system is trying to get those in charge to agree on how to make improvements. Unfortunately its far easier to criticize our legal system than it is to actually improve it but that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep striving to. The innocent people are worth it. I respect your good points. People get too blood-thirsty sometimes in their quest for justice but in some rare cases I still believe its appropriate.
@Vegas01973 There you go. Now I can relate with your point completely. Yes innocent people are well worth it. And there family should get satisfaction for there lose for sure. But as I said it appears to me that in this country especially in Texas they take capital punishment extremely lightly. 100 executions of a murderers is not worth 1 execution of an innocent man. And I don't care what was the crime I do not believe in barbaric death no matter even if it was Hitler him self.
@Vegas01973 I recently saw woman on TV who's daughter was killed and she witnessed execution of her killer and she said something like: "I'm very satisfied now that I know that he is punished but also satisfied that it was clean. It dint appear that he suffered. I advise to all family members of victims if they have any second thoughts about killer been executed to go and watch they will feel better when they see what's it like".
@Vegas01973 So I think even if we have to kill someone lets not use electric chair, death by hanging (that's Iraq stile), shooting squad, gas chamber and I don't know what else. If we have to kill him let it be painless and let it look like its not execution. Not for the murderer but for us who are left to walk this earth a little bit longer. So I guess injection would be appropriate if we have to do it but not guillotine. That's for US not HIM.
Gas chambers are actually not as painful as you think. Only reason the Nazis used gas chambers was because burning their victims alive would be a horrible thing to do. Yeah, think about that... They actually had some decency.
As to executing people, I think it is totally wrong. Even lifetime is harsh imo, and should only be used in extreme cases. But killing people, no one should have the right to do that, not even the justice system. Killing is ok only in self defense.
@fuunguus I can agree with you about death penalty but about gas chambers hell no!!!! That's awefull dude!!! I mean you are forced to inhale toxic gas for god and sake!!! Its painfull very painfull!!!!
@sarasmith125 Well from what we heard from whitnesess it wasnt like that in this case. They clame that he was still moving a bit after been shot. I mean one of the women said that it bothers her a little bit when she saw that he is still alive after been shot. So I dont know it seams thta it is not that instant at list in some cases.
@discovery1983 Go look up the "dance of death" Even if you have been instantly killed, your body will still go into convulsions. It's just like a chicken when its head had been chopped off. The chicken is instantly killed, but its muscles are convlusing.
The controversy over the death penalty is that it basically puts the government on the same base moral level as the murderer and it's a barbaric act. If you take another human being's life aren't you another criminal?
@mahsa No it doesnt.. why would the government be on the same level as a murderer? That is a tree hugers excuse to stop capital punishment. They are not even in the same rehlm! Do you put down a dog if it was to bite and kill a person? Why? because it is no longer a loving pet it is a beast and it needs to be put down, well murderers are the same they are no longer humans they are beasts and death is the only option! Tell the innocent people who have been killed AFTER a killer was released!
@mahsa Cont.... sorry tell the innocent people that have been killed after a killer has been released did they deserve to die? Are you saying the live of a killer is more important then the life of an innocent person?should we have to chance that he is reabilitated? why should I pay to keep him alive in jail? is that fair to me and the other tax payers? i tel lyou what how about all the ppl that are for the death penalty get a tax break and u guys get a tax increase? yea didnt think so!

Almost every Christian that I talk to is in favor of the death penalty and when I bring up the story of Jesus saying "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone", they trip all over their tongues trying to figure out how to justify their position.
fsmdidit 1 year ago
@fsmdidit If you don't have CP 4 murder, you'll ALWAY's have murder for CP. It'll always be a capilal offence for a woman to not have sex w/ a rapist. That's a throat-slashing offence-shame on her!(sarcasm) It will be always be a capital offence to not pay a bank robber. You're only kidding yourself if you think you can make CP go away. It will always exist in one form or another. To not make murder1 a CO is to make the victim a worse offender.
niflap 1 year ago
@niflap I was making the point that capital punishment is antithetical to Christianity, yet Christians to be all for it, but I'll address your point. It's very simple, it is not worth killing innocent people in order to get your revenge. Death row inmates are exonerated and released with disturbing frequency. Just think of how many are murdered, going to their deaths knowing that everyone thinks they are this monster. For their sakes, everyone should be given their lifetime to seek justice.
fsmdidit 1 year ago
@fsmdidit I'm all in favor of restricting the criteria under which capital punishment can be applied, including giving as much benefit of doubt as possible. But innocent people are being "executed" all the time who aren't even suspected of wrongdoing worldwide. It's called murder. If you don't have at least a potential to execute such "executioners", you make murder victims look like worse offenders than the ones who poached them. You can't eliminate CP for people not even accused of wrongdoing.
niflap 1 year ago
@niflap Your logic baffles me. I can't understand how someone can hold to task a person who is murdered because their murderer isn't murdered. And even if that were so, it would only be an offensive opinion, which is far less of an offense than killing an innocent (although convicted) person.
fsmdidit 1 year ago
@fsmdidit I think the average copkiller on death row has a much better chance of surviving than the average framed cop in general population over the same period of time. Contrary to popular opinion, child molesters are NOT the most targeted in prisons. At least DR targets the worst offenders.
niflap 1 year ago
@niflap I'll grant you your points but they don't address the fact that the death penalty necessarily kills innocent people. How many innocent people is it okay to kill each year to make sure that we kill the guilty as well? What do you think an appropriate ratio is? 1 innocent for every 1000 guilty, are you comfortable with this? I've found that the people who I discuss this with always redirect the discussion away from killing the innocent. So what do you think about executing the innocent?
fsmdidit 1 year ago
@fsmdidit um...dude.Justice was granted. if your family was murder, your telling me you would be ok paying for that man to stay in prison lol? I mean you would pay for the very person that killed your family.... WAKE THE FUCK UP.
Dogmeat1950 1 year ago
@Dogmeat1950 I'm fully awake my friend, and no I don't like the idea of spending money for decades on murderers. In fact I'd like to see them all die in agony. But I am more concerned with the people who have been wrongfully convicted. I can't see how anyone can justify murdering the innocent (although convicted) people who fall through the cracks.
Avenging murders through the death penalty would be great if it didn't mean that we have to necessarily murder the innocent.

simply, instead of them sitting in jail using tax payers money for 10-25 years, why not just have them PUBLICLY executed, by the cheapest most efficient ways possible. firing squad is very cost efficient. so is death by hanging. if we show the criminals that we mean business, crime rate is sure to plummet. i mean if they are caught in a crime now, they have a jail cell with a bed, sink, and toilet with a pillow. then they get 3 GOOD meals a day, a library, SOME TV, and fitness equipment.

i think firing squad isnt exactly right but not wrong but i also think as soon as a man/woman is convicted and sentenced to death they shouldnt be in prision for 20 years... what i mean by this while a murderer is siting in prision the tax payers money when that money could be going to helping the poor or even donating to school or orphans... i think they should be exucuted within the week of the conviction so they get what they deserve.

Other people who deserve death penalty...
Rapists, Dirty cops who plant drugs or pull women over & rape them, Crooked judges who take bribes, Kidnappers, Child Molesters (though I'd grant amnesty for those who turn themselves in under the condition that they remain in prison and spend their time helping investigators find other pedophiles.) That being said, I still recognize that many innocent people have been falsely accused, convicted and put to death so it shouldn't be applied to all cases,
Vegas01973 1 year ago
The other thing that boggles my mind is many of the protesters of capital punishment believe in heaven and an afterlife. So why is it such a tragedy to you people (Christians, etc.) that murderers are repenting of their sins and going to heaven? It seems like you would be happy. You have to remember that the murderers on death row unlike their victims had the luxury of knowing when they would die. If they still choose not to repent of their idiotic choices, don't look to me for sympathy.

RONNIE LEE Gardner’s last ditch proposal for clemency involved his participation with a proposed 160 acre farm his brother wanted to create to help troubled children positively direct their lives. But of course then there's only one round fired...but you'd think one 30-cal round to the heart would do it.
teabagginue 1 year ago
@teabagginue hmmmm, so if there was 1000 riflemen, and 200 had ineffective rounds,, would it make you feel better? 1 in 5 is still good odds for not firing a live round, think of it as playing russian roulette,,
SG55OVCam 1 year ago
@SG55OVCam

@discovery1983 Thanks for the encouragement! But since you couldn't tell I was only joking about wanting the job of executioner. If you are against capital punishment the best thing you can do is not murder people. Then you won't be murdering yourself as this guy did. I don't get why there is so much sympathy for murderers who spend decades on death row!!!!
Vegas01973 1 year ago
@Vegas01973 I have no sympathy what so ever for murderer period. But if I am the one to take his life hell no. Let him leave. He is not worth it.
Unless we are 100% sure execution is madness.
discovery1983 1 year ago
@discovery1983 You're right. I agree with you. The problem with trying to improve our legal system is trying to get those in charge to agree on how to make improvements. Unfortunately its far easier to criticize our legal system than it is to actually improve it but that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep striving to. The innocent people are worth it. I respect your good points. People get too blood-thirsty sometimes in their quest for justice but in some rare cases I still believe its appropriate.
Vegas01973 1 year ago
@Vegas01973 There you go. Now I can relate with your point completely. Yes innocent people are well worth it. And there family should get satisfaction for there lose for sure. But as I said it appears to me that in this country especially in Texas they take capital punishment extremely lightly. 100 executions of a murderers is not worth 1 execution of an innocent man. And I don't care what was the crime I do not believe in barbaric death no matter even if it was Hitler him self.
discovery1983 1 year ago
@Vegas01973 I recently saw woman on TV who's daughter was killed and she witnessed execution of her killer and she said something like: "I'm very satisfied now that I know that he is punished but also satisfied that it was clean. It dint appear that he suffered. I advise to all family members of victims if they have any second thoughts about killer been executed to go and watch they will feel better when they see what's it like".
discovery1983 1 year ago
@Vegas01973 So I think even if we have to kill someone lets not use electric chair, death by hanging (that's Iraq stile), shooting squad, gas chamber and I don't know what else. If we have to kill him let it be painless and let it look like its not execution. Not for the murderer but for us who are left to walk this earth a little bit longer. So I guess injection would be appropriate if we have to do it but not guillotine. That's for US not HIM.
discovery1983 1 year ago
@discovery1983
