Hell, even Halloween III was fantastic. Rob Zombie may be adding back story, but that's a good thing. Rob Zombie and Halloween are a great combination. So fuck you.

I love Rob, but his version sucked asshole! He lost the concept of what the boogie man really is! Complete darkness! The boogie man didn't get pick on when he was young, have an abusive step dad, or have a whore as a mom! He was just a normal kid that decide one day to kill! That's it!  We don't have to go all Batman Begins with everything and give an origin story! BTW Batman Kicked FUCKING MAJOR ASS other that Halloween 2007~!

WTF?? Im getting the feeling that I watched a totally different movie than all of you guys. I loved the original, and the sequels Im fond of, but Zombie really did make a fuckin awesome movie. Its brutal, its real, its grimy and it pumps blood back into the franchises withered veins. Love it.

i liked the movie, but when i watched it i didn't see it as 'halloween'. i saw it as an entirely new film and a new character, not michael myers. this was probably because zombie twisted the story around so dramatically. the killing was over-the-top. i didn't like how he slaughtered his whole family, it was too exaggerated. but that's zombie's vision, i guess. needless to say, the sound and intensity of the film was awesome on screen- especially if you sat in front row

as a masssive fan who saw the frist screening yesterday, i can hate to tell fans of the franchise that they are about to be disappointed...again. perhaps it will be the worst this time as most of us (including yours truly) really thought zombie would do it justice. but the flick just is not terribly scary, contains far too much plot development (this is a HORROR movie people) and just never really takes off, sad to say. mediocre at best, sad to say.

Agreed, this movie is supposed to be about a boy that just one day loses his mind and decides to kill his sister, not his sister, her boyfriend, and his stepdad... Just such a horrible movie just to long to develop the plot and he scrunched what really made halloween famous was the entire night he came home.. never really stressed that quote at all.. He just comes back to haddonfield and you watch him not stalking anyone but just beating the living hell out of people.. DO NOT watch it
