  • Somehow i feel the flood is all in our blood , I cant barely remember his name :/

  • @jaller32 AHAHA that was the funniest comment ever

  • Looks like it sucks to be That guy

  • @thexboxfreakguy THAT guy over there is Keyes , Without him Cortana might not be with Master Cheif now and you know what Keyes is the strongest character ever who fights pain in halo and dont you dare call him THAT

  • @jaller32 Geez well it still would suck to be him right now

  • @jaller32 Fun fact. Keyes made it with Halsey(Spartan 2 project Halsey, that Cortana is based off of) and they had a child. Named Maranda.

  • theres a new halo??????

  • 2:20 Dr halsey without the baby weight LOL

  • Creepy

  • that is weird me and keyes have the same first name jacob we also have the same initials j.k. wtf

  • i'll be honest i cried man tears watching this....

  • @BananaMonkeyization you sir are sycho nerd

  • @TheGuyWhoCrafts .......eh

  • Did he just see a flashback of his daughter in a nightdress? 2:21 WTF?

  • @BlandiBoney

Pretty sure that was Dr. Halsey

  • That point in the game was very unsatisfying, firing at the blob of flesh had no effect

  • who is that person who would fire everything at them make your knife blunt from stabbing flood and finally punch the living shit out of the grave mind until they have to make a new one

  • 2:20 oh no! gravemind erased his first ever sex

  • So Gravemind is a poet, but he does not have proper grammer. He said, "We already do.", but the correct wording is "We already did." We meaning the flood. But isn't gravemind the flood itself? So it should be "I already did."

  • @nkumtakar It's the Gravemind, it does not conform to your primitive notions of proper grammar.

  • FUCK THE GRAVE MIND YOU GUYS KNOW THE ONE FROM HALO 2 HE DID THIS THE PAIN KEYES FELT

SCREW YOU GRAVE-MIND WHY TORTURE A MAN LIKE THIS AND TAKE THE MEMORIES KEYS HAD HUH HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT GRAVE MIND IF WE TOOK YOUR MEMORIES

  • @matthewproductions23 The gravemind don't have any memories of himself. All the memories he's got are from the persons and things he has "eat".

  • @fullguitaraddict85 True but take those memories back

  • this is like doing homework, must... concentrate... but.. cant... youtube... distracting... must concentrate...

  • I was scared out of my wits when I saw this. Everyone please like this if you guys agree that not only this is sad, that he was fighting hard enough to gain back what he truly was. Rest In Peace, captain. You were our favorite character.

  • This will hurt so bad a parasite crushing your bones becoming a killer and killing your friends. Now i understand the infection.

  • This made me depressed for awhile.... :/

  • I never appreciated the threat of the flood or how traumatic transformation was till I saw this.

  • This just shows how hard it was for Keyes to go through this. He had to distract the flood to prevent them from finding Earth.

  • Wow that was creepy

  • wow thats crepey

  • Captain Keyes was actually a Proto-Gravemind here, given enough time it could have become a full fledged Gravemind, but we all saw the video....

  • siiiii

  • ლ(ಠ益ಠ)ლ

  • any one know what if the number at 0.06 have any significants

  • Comment removed

  • Such a sad moment.

  • Is it wrong that I cried?

  • NOOOOOO NoT THE CAPTAIN

  • To Captain Keyes. -Raise sword-

  • IF YOU WANT TO SEE JACOB KEYES READ THE HALO COLE PROTOCALE BOOK ITS ERALLY GOOD

  • The girl at 2:20 is halsey isn't it?

  • @GreyD0GG Yes

  • @GreyD0GG Yup

  • i felt bad bad for him when i saw this its sad

  • LOL peenis blood!

  • God this is fucking creepy.

  • futurama fry "not sure if initials or he is just kidding " but that is epic:'c

  • I'm not really ito halo but this semms cool :D

  • he didn't just fighted back, the flood wanted the location of earth not to destroy it as the covenant, they wanted to eat the people in the earth he buried the location of the humanity home planet, losing his own memories, he didn't die in vain, jhon saved the earth, but only thanks to him

  • rip captain keyes he was my favorite captain

  • ahora se que cando lo defendi fue para que su fuerza se hiciera mas grande

    descansa en paz...........captain

  • If only Chief got there sooner, he could have been saved...

  • he was a true hero....R.I.P 01928-19912-JK;"Captain".

  • Remembering your military service, acting like a true soldier; a true human, resisting defeat, fighting extreme opression, staying strong, remembering family, refusing to succumb to mere pain, and fighting back to the bitter end. His last words were "You will not have me". He refused to die, even after losing his personality. He fought until the Master Chief came to put him at ease; to end his pain.

A sad, but damn noble way to die. You're always in my heart, 01928-19912-JK; "Captain".

  • why do people keep mistaking him for lord fucking hood

  • "We Already Do," Said Audrey II.

  • You have to give the Captain some serious credit here. The time it takes for the Flood to conquer an organism is usually a few seconds regaurdless of species. Yet Keyes fought back so hard he lasted far longer than any known species had done prior or before him. This is a true sign of character, strength, and will power. R.I.P. Captain, you were one of the best.

  • @ThePhychoHero also Jenkins fought against the flood the longest. until his death aboard the truth and reconciliation

  • @ThePhychoHero you do realise its just a game

  • @ThePhychoHero but i think the flood wanted to make him to a grave mind and they probably did a different process of taking over him

  • @ThePhychoHero Not just will power but raw cleverness. If he couldn't fight off the entity altogether, he made sure that the most valuable information was in the back of his thoughts, even though that meant losing some experiences and memories even more dear to him.

There is no greater sacrifice. There should be a colony named after him.

  • @ThePhychoHero I agree, R.I.P. Keyes.. But if I remembered right, jenkins (the soldier whose helmet you picked before encountering the flood) lasted for two days before he died of exhaustion and the infection

  • @Madin312 He actually died at Thruth and Reconcilliation, when Lieutenant Melissa McKay detonated a grnade that cut the engines control and caused a chain reaction all over the ship. That's also the reason why no one else but Johnson, a couple of Marines and Master Chief made it out of Halo

  • @floodmaster16 oh right, thanks for correcting me, but still, his deformed face still gave me chills :(

  • @ThePhychoHero you forgot jenkins he got infected and actaully regained control long to warn the marines of a flood attack(different area was prisoner of the marines and he warned them)

  • @ThePhychoHero Well, yes, but who was it that after full transformation managed to kill "himself" in the books? Have to read them again :) there are some who are really strong willed.

  • @Mar10nii You talking about Jenkins? Cuz if you are, the spore that got him was wounded and weakened.

  • @dragonheart967 don't remember, not far from that place in the book, they're talking about lowering a giant steel plate to cover a hole, but still, after he is fully transformed, and even a weakend spore can consume his mind and function without his head.

  • @Mar10nii he didn't die by killing himself he had enough control to charge at marines which captured him he then convinced the people to kill him

  • @ThePhychoHero As much as I hate to say this, someone lasted longer than Keys. Private Wallace Jenkins was able to keep control of his mental state up until the ODST ship that was carrying him crashed and killed him. The captain and Commander Johnson would have been proud of him. R.I.P. Captain and R.I.P Private. You two were strong men.

  • @ThePhychoHero Now, Let's see how Chief handles it.... everyone's been infected or have almost been ( Johnson, Keyes, Cortana) the only things protecting Chief is his armor.

  • @TheGuilleSuit Johnson is "immune" because of all the plasma grenades he's been exposed to when he dumped them down some stairs.. his neural network is "undesirable" for the infection forms..or somthing like that:P

  • @Mar10nii its because the flood can't force a match into his D.N.A to let it reproduce on his skin. and in halo 3 when he gets infected he says "aren't I supposed to be immune to this?"

  • @Mar10nii Twas the cover story of why he can't be infected. The real reason was because of Project Orion (Spartan 1's).

  • @ThePhychoHero I reckon

He stood against the Flood for longer then any regular human could (Seening as johnson survived and is immiune to the Flood)

    He was worthy of Admirality

  • You bastard! Keyes was a boss!

  • A brain later turns into a grave mind more or less starts out as a brain and then becomes a grave mind ... It must continue to consume hosts though... This thing is like a demon that's what they should have been calling a demon instead of Sierra -117... But I didn't know the flood could infect you with just there cells... I thought infection forms and spores could only do that .... Those little things on halo3 grave mind level that float around

  • NOT a gravemind, a flood brain. In halo CE anniversary the flood r scary!

  • what you see here (in halo CEA) is commander keys being turned into a gravemind. because he is fighting back so hard the flood cannot mutate his extremitys so instead ingulfs his entire body and memorys. however sometimes if the flood infection form is deficiant (as seen in the book halo: the flood) when the flood attaches itself to a human/alien (like lutenent jenkins) the host still retains all of their memories is compleatly transformed into a combat form and can still use basic communication

  • the JK is for just kidding :)

  • this makes the flood seem scary as shit.

  • Keyes didn't die! He's in halo reach at teh end!?!?!?

  • @stgargan halo reach is before halo 1

  • @stgargan what planet are u from.

  • @stgargan halo reach is bevor the other halo episodes! :)

  • @stgargan halo reach happened right before halo 1

  • @stgargan Reach took place before this game....

  • My god... the horrors at what this must feel like.. Your entire existence being ripped apart and thrown into the gutter. Having to fight with your mental capability to it's fullest, and even through every effort you make, that parasite only grows stronger. Losing every sense of yourself until you are nothing. A mindless drone, lost to an overwhelming source of knowledge and control. Every memory you ever held dear... gone. Not yours to remember. You become what it wants of you. Free will gone...

  • @m4ndoik shit, that was deep man

  • @m4ndoik you should wright poems that is very vivid 5 stars and a thumb :)

  • @m4ndoik May God bring Keyes to Heaven.

  • @m4ndoik

They're also called zombies. Usually death is better than some things.

  • Salute, very sad , r.i.p Jacob Keyes

  • I cried manly tears :*(

  • 1:42 OMFG!!! THATS VOI FROM HALO 3!!!!!! :D

  • Damn this so sad, but so damn scary at the same time, im glad that the the flood isnt real

  • @SuperBatfreak actually the flood could certainly be real. we have no idea what is out within the vast cold abyss known as space...

  • @m4ndoik Oh snap! ofc Bungie knows what is out there!

  • o la parte que matan a los marines

  • se ve vien satanico cuando pasan el flood de halo 3

  • r.i.p Keyes

  • This is probably the most sad part of the Halo trilogy yet.

  • Am I the only one who is reminded of Dead Space? This is basicly our primal fear, being destroyed...

  • RIP Captain Jacob Keyes you will be missed ty for all your service

  • I think this is by far my favorite Terminal...really let's you see the final moments of someone (in this case, Keyes) just before they are taken by the Flood. Also, I don't know if anyone else noticed, but this terminal was based almost exactly by the same part from the novel of Halo 1: "The Flood" by William C. Dietz.

  • 1:17 He has his period.

  • kinda sad cause miranda keyes dies to as well as captain keyes

  • creepiest terminal ever

  • the artwork for this adds on to the creepiness

  • Is it just me, or do you guys have a new found extra large hate of the flood now?

  • Why did the Precursors make the Flood!? WHY!?

  • @CJLightning24 I think it was a biological weapon gone wrong.

  • @brutelordnz the flood is from an ancient ship that the humans found with dessicated powder in it and the humans used the powder to make their pets more desirable till it was to late and turned against them and the San Shyum

  • @CJLightning24 They didn't. They deemed the Flood to be the perfect organism and, by the dictum of the Mantle, succumbed to it - becoming advanced Graveminds in the process.

  • the matle did not dictate that that the flood was perfect and so the forerunners fought it till mecidant bias turned on them

  • @ArkAngelus921 Ycou've clearly not read Primordium then...

  • @ajw34307 i have read it alright i have read all the halo books out to date and some more

  • @ArkAngelus921 If you'd read Primordium then you wouldn't be saying things that are wrong. I find it far more likely that you've simply wiki'd a synopsis.

  • @ajw34307 i never wiki anything and if you have read the books than telll me who mecidant bias is as well as bornstellar makes eternal lasting is than

  • @ArkAngelus921 Are you serious? Very well, I'll bite. Mendicant Bias is the contender-class AI that was created to combat the Flood, but defected to their side after talking to the Timeless One (Gravemind) for 43 years. At the end of Halo 3, he's metastable and sends John to the Forerunners as proof of his atonement.

Bornstellar is a 12 year old Manipular who becomes the Didact as the result of a mutation he performed before his execution,

  • @ajw34307 very close but mecidant bias is a metarch level ancilla. who are the humans bornstellar travels with

  • @ArkAngelus921 No, Mendicant is a Contender. The reason Faber executed the Didact was because he refused to give him the codes to activate the other Contenders because he feared that they would follow the same path as Mendicant. All the Terminals in Halo 3 refer to him as a Contender-class AI too, he is not a part of the Metarchy.

  • @ajw34307 that is because mecidant destroyed the metarchy in his quest for knowledge and btw he is a meta level ancilla i have the book in front of me right now

  • @ajw34307 and bornstellar is neither the diadect or his old self that he was at the beginning of cryptum he has the imprint of the diadect which is the highest rank of a warrier servent and the body of a builder

  • @ArkAngelus921 He BECOMES the Didact essentially, all of the thoughts, memories and experiences pass down to Bornstellar. Everyone following the battle of the Capital refers to Bornstellar as the Didact, so yes, that is who he becomes. Don't try to twist my answer so you can make it seem incorrect.

Also, he's a Contender. From the Terminal transcript:

    "[retf-2.4.z] Contender [AI] 05-032 confirmed rampant . . . [35:52:75:23:64] _ xx01-83-244.53

  • @ajw34307 but if you read the book he clearly says that he is neither and the life worker that show him around the ark agrees with him ( i'm not twistin ya words to make you seem incompetant your doin it for me )

  • @ajw34307 if your sayin that i have wikid about halo more than likely that means that you have done that as we have the argument or you did it before that because anyone worth their salt knwos that you can change wikipedia to suit you

  • @ArkAngelus921 Again, your assumptions are incorrect. Go read the Ascendant Justice blog, the writer there now works at 343 and he does multiple in-depth articles analysing aspects of the Halo universe. Oh, and guess what he uses for his analysis? QUOTES from the Terminal transcripts. I do not use wikis.

Sigh, the Didact and Bornstellar become the same person. The mutation transferred everything about the Didact into him, physically he is Born but mentally he is the Didact.

  • @CJLightning24 because they wanted to kill the foreunners

  • @CJLightning24 According to the EU, the flood evolved from domesticated human pets. The humans actually had a nonlethal cure for them, but the Forrunners killed us and then died of the flood. It's on halo dot wikia dot net.

  • @blkwhtrbbtX Wow. You sir are GREATLY MISTAKEN.

    1. The flood didn't evolve from domesticated pets.

    2. The Forunners didn't kill us, they saved us.

  • @Bowlfan16 you are greatly mistaken the humans did make the flood from domesticated pets that they sprayed powder on and the forerunners did jst about kill us but in the end they did save us

  • @ArkAngelus921 ACTUALY the precursors made a powder which the humans found and covered their pheru in it and the powder which drove the pheru angery spreading the virus

  • @Bowlfan16 No, I'm not. I'm not talking about the Bungie games, I'm talking about the companion novels. It's on Halo's Wiki too. Halo DOT wikia DOT net. Seriously. Search "Flood". Then search Human-Forrunner War. It's a LOT of fun. The Forrunners killed most humans, then forced us to reverse evolve, but then realized there was something special about us, then made us their heirs. I forget the details. But that's the gist of it.

  • @blkwhtrbbtX the humans cure was to inferct there own people with an antidote and sacrifice themselves to save the rest of humanity

  • @ArkAngelus921 Oh. Well..... Less lethal than Halo, anyway, lol. At any rate, it didn't involve murdering every single sapient being in the universe to work.

  • @blkwhtrbbtX they still technically did that bujt also catalouged all the species that had higher brain functions

  • @CJLightning24 they didnt

  • @ArkAngelus921 they did

  • Comment removed

  • Thumbs up if you read "Halo" the book and have already read this video.

  • Scarred For Life.......

  • The ball of Keyes. :P

  • Noble Actual/Keyes was trying to fight of the floods mind

  • thats that writing at the end

  • This tells a story, of a warrior of mankind.

  • This terminal really made me think a bit different on the flood. lol. I wasn't this creeped out by the Flood since the first time I played Halo 2 when I was about 12. XD

  • This came from something in Halo CE's book

  • Cortana: Cheif........ He's gone........

Chief: OH HAILLLLLL NO! *Rips out Keyes's body*

  • By looking at this, Halo 4 is going to be awsome

  • This is my favorite terminal

  • Was the Gravemind talking to Keyes during this creepy scene?

  • @InvalidGesture That wasn't a gravemind, is was the step before a gravemind is born.

  • @cdyfoltz1

Oh, the Gravemind on Delta Halo wasn't formed yet? And it can't communicate with anyone (besides the other Flood creatures) across space?

  • @cdyfoltz1 grave mind was around then

  • @InvalidGesture This was a proto gravemind, not the one you see in halo 2 and 3.

  • @SuperThirdeyes

Oddly enough...it's creepier than a full grown gravemind (in my opinion).

  • @InvalidGesture yeah he was kinda talkin to keys

  • i thought emile was badass nd not willing to die without a fight but keyes reestablished that

  • doesnt he survive in halo 1,2 and 3

  • @extremegamer665 Nah. Dies in Halo 1.

  • @extremegamer665 no he trun in to the flood in the frist halo also master chief punch keyes face in

  • holy shit this is fucking creepy.

  • 2:22 Dr Catherine Halsey

  • this very bad for keys snd is only in this and because reach is before halo its self

  • Forerunner's obviously didn't have shotguns...pussies.

  • the flood are like the basis for dead space if you think about it

  • They should have showed Noble Six.

  • If he dies in this one how is he in halo and halo 3
