  • thanks for sharing.. :)

  • i'm working on a plastic recycling bin with oyster mushrooms...

    this movement knows no bounds

  • Yay, a big garden. Its funny how most of the people who promote this lifestyle, do not live it, lol.

  • @l337pwnage oh lorde the pwnage! don't be jealous bro you can plant one too

  • @StrongArmZZ I already got mine, its a big giant structure made of concrete and steel, full of food a lit up using electricity from burning dead dinosaurs. Works great, has meat, vegetables, fruit, soda, candy bars, and all kinds of cool stuff. ^_^

  • pwned again! Is this the tip of the iceberg? I'm afraid of what you might come up with next. Are you pouring battery acid into the ocean, and hunting whales too? I bet you are, and boy am I'm offended already. lulz

  • @StrongArmZZ do you ever make any sense? lol.

  • @l337pwnage cmon man that's piss poor trolling. i think you need a hobby.... one your good at

  • @StrongArmZZ Well, that at least makes sense, even if it is kinda pathetic.

  • awesome

  • The whole world needs food gardens like these. Ghadaffi was busy creating them in Libya until he was brutally disturbed by the vanity of Sarkozy and Cameron.

The Andes, The Rocky mountains, all deserts in the world could be get into green with modern techniques if just a small part of military spending was invested.

    Long live humanity !

  • @envanje - yeah I thought so when I heard they invaded Libya, cause Ghadaffi was also doing some other sustainable works there in the last few years.

These are exactly the type of gardens that must be protected and must also be re-planted, especially in urban areas.

We also need to leave wild plants to grow freely, as they are important for pollinating insects (CCD = major problem for bees & also crops) and for grazing animals - the ways it should be done.

  • @envanje - Sarkozy, he's only there cause GW Bush didn't like Chirac cause Chirac wouldn't do what he wanted him to...

  • a wonderful chance discovery of ancient treasure. I'm sure people always husbanded the natural fecundity of such sites, even before the 'birth of agriculture'.

  • I thought that oases were the result of highly localized water sources more than a particular method of food production.

  • @FreedomFox1 No. Using a water source for a monoculture system in a desert will result in eventual soil death and that would be the end of it. The mixture of canopy layers, and different fruits keeps the soil fertile for a long time.

  • Wow! What an amazing place.

  • I have faith Ancient Food Gardens will be saved!

  • We have very large citrus trees in and amongst the actual date palms, very large olives. In fact the largest carob I've ever seen was at this particular site!

  • Ha! if those young men follow 'Babylon's' urgings (4:10), let me go there and tend that magnificent garden!

Well, actually I've other plans, but otherwise it'ld be a pleasure for me to keep such places until humankind starts appreciating such wonders again and finds out that this is real wealth, not the often false glitters of the big city. Rural communities imo will then be filled with vibrant life again and concrete jungle left to crumble.

  • @AlexanderIlli - yeah I know, it's shocking how people that live in the best unspoiled places are still being tricked by the empty nothing to go live somewhere urban. Or as bad - change their landscapes and build more urban.

  • Great video!

  • to RAREFRUITS Phils., here the link food forest

  • nice video , thanks .

  • I love your videos flashtoons. Another great one! Thanks for posting it.

  • food forests are the way to go...I am learning so much from Lawton in recent years...when Obama got the prize...the first thing Ithought was:...why not someone like Lawton?...who has been at it for a while too...and loves the earth and loves both mankind and earth alike...that is basis for lasting peace!!!

  • I love that ideal!

  • because it is TRUE to high heaven...coulnd't be truer...Geoff and Holmbrun and Mollison and Fukuoka, and Hazelip...and so many others...have done and are doing the things that will in the end, one day, pave the way to true freedom and contentment. I believe this wholeheartedly, I revere Lawton!.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. Please keep them coming. Very inspirational. I too am concerned this knowledge is being lost and should be documented. My hat of to Geoff!

  • Beautiful, thank you!

  • Where was this exactly on the map in Morocco?

  • The location of the Food Forest known to the local population as Paradise Valley is about 12km inland from Tamraght on the coast of Morocco below the Grissafane Mountain Range. See Flashtoonz, com for map details.

  • @flashtoons What an appropriate name, "Paradise Valley"
