This game is totally a button masher. I just beat Mewtwo about a minute again by spamming Psycho Cut. He died in 8 hits. He didn't hurt me and I only had to move to aim.

I don't get why you tried to beat him like that. I'm sure even spamming the Sludge Bomb could've killed him button mashily.

Is it possible to play through the entire game with just one pokemon? In the walkthrough I watched, of the Japanese version, you had to change to the most recent pokemon after pretty much every level, or there was no way to beat what was coming up next.

Yes we are watching the same video, and it looks like there is pretty much no tactics involved in this game. This takes about as much "skill" as Smash Brothers.

If SSB didn't take skill, there wouldn't be people who are way better than everyone else. Everyone would have an equal chance at winning. (Like Mario Party, for instance, where luck is more important than strategy)

SSB does take some skill, but honestly, I was able to compete competitively with only a few days of non consistent playing. If my brother can play it only once, learn the complete moveset for a select character and be able to put up a fight, that doesn't take much skill.

You might "think" you're able to play competetively, but just go to an official tournament and see how well you do. It's one of those "Easy to learn, difficult to master" type of games.

Anyways... When I first heard about Rumble, I thought it sounded dumb, but then I watched this, became slightly interested, tried out the demo, and now I want to download the full version. For 15 dollars, it seems like a pretty decent game.

Think, erm, not really, because I have. With melee, I was among the best in the state of Missouri, I went to official places and played. And with Brawl, I did play on online tournament sites. Haven't played in a year, but I did, so don' go making judgments. Go play Street Fighter if you actually want something that takes skill. And it is only 15 dollars? I might have to pick it up, get a days worth of mindless fun. And actually, the concept is something pokemon fans have been wanting for ever.

Even if you were a competetive player, I doubt you became that good the first few times playing it. If that were the case then, like Bikdip said, everyone would be an expert and would be playing competitvely.

I'm assuming since you mentioned Street Fighter, then you've been playing fighters for a while, which would explain why SSB seems simpler to you, but Capcom themselves have said that SSB is a technical fighter.

Yeah it is just easy to say something, but I really don't feel the need to do that over the internet, as I will never actually see you in real life. And actually, SSB Melee was my first fighter. I did play that for a while, (week or two,) before I became good at it. Maybe Brawl was easier for me because I played Melee so much.
