  • Ha, we were all skinny back then.

Great stuff from one of the most criminally underrated bands of all time.

The Sound of Music has visited my turntable at least once a week for over twenty years now. Definitely one of my "desert island" picks.

  • Seeing such classic footage to go with these sublime songs...fully justifies the promise of youtube. Wonderful!

  • It would be great if you posted songs from their "The Sound of Music" CD !!

  • Waiting for my 12" copy of Repercussion to come from the UK to my place in Australia. COME ON POSTAL SERVICES OF THE WORLD. HURRY. This song rules - definitely 'Black and Whites' close cousin.

  • I will forever be a devoted fan. Thank youi very very much.

  • It was 1993. A friend of my sister lent me an LP record to listen to. At first I was worried that the DB's were some fashionable grunge group, but then as I listened to them, I realized they belonged to a different, superior dimension.

    Good times, good music.

  • One of the Greatest Bands Of All Time!

  • And maybe another request;Bonneville?

Does anyone maybe have a version that is suitable for You Tube?

All I have is a live version, taped years ago from radio.Great stuff, but not here......

  • awesome

  • Criminally underrated band from back in the day. I have all their early LPs and many of their later ones, too. Marti Jones does a great cover of this on her debut LP. Thanks for the upload.

  • Magical

  • Repercussion was chock full of potential hits, but I guess that's not where mainstream radio was at. Love discovering buried treasure though.

  • Zero thumbs down. A rare example of 'getting it right.'

  • I keep coming back to see/hear this. So good...and brings back such good memories. :)

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like db's . pop! pop!

  • Great song. I felt I was the only one in England that had Repurcussion when it came out. Perhaps I was......

  • Yes! I love the dB's. I discovered them in college, and, I have been a fan of their music since.

  • Saw them in Tuscaloosa back around 1987...86....88....oh, well, we were tripping at the time so dates seem to fade....LOL.....

  • One of the great, great power pop songs. Which is saying something: 1975-85 was such a great period for this kind of music!

  • Hell yes.

  • Thank you!

Does anyone have Spy in the house of love by The db,s?

And could they please please put it on YouTube? It used to be on here, but sadly has been removed. You would make a fan so very happy!!!

  • Wow, a real 3 am find for me. Exhilarating!

  • my cousins used to go to chris stamey's father as a doctor

  • Thanks, Will!

  • "Neverland" is certainly one of my fav's in the jangle-pop genre. Few tunes can compare with this one.

  • I bought the dB's "Stands for Decibels" about 18 years ago in the bargain bin and thoroughly loved it. I've always been a fan of Let's Active and other bands from the Carolinas and Georgia. I just discovered "Neverland" this past weekend and admit to having watched the video repeatedly about 40 times and plan to purchase the dB's remaining CDs (or MP3s). By the way, Marti Jones' 1986 cover of "Neverland" on YouTube is rocking too!

  • Wow. Got almost as many shivers watching this as when my needle first hit the grooves on Repercussion. Thanks!

  • I would kill for a copy of dBs "Black & White"? Can anyone help?

  • Wish someone would post a video for Black and White. That ranks right up there with Neverland in my book.

  • One of the 10 best songs of the 80s.

  • kicks ass.

  • Sweet! Thanks. I first heard the dB's in Flamin' Groovies record store in NJ - it was owned by Jim Babjak, guitarist in The Smithereens. Great times, great sounds.

  • Cool. Repercussion was the dB's at their finest...in my opinion, anyway. Back in the day, it was not an easy album to come by in my sleepy little town. An import of an American band that was from the next state over. Thank you WAX N FACTS in the ATL.

  • Great band, and one of their best songs. I was lucky to catch them live way back in the beginnning. I hope the rumors of a return to action by the original lineup are accuarate.

  • I forgot how much I love this song. The usually mild mannered Peter is nothing less than a folk rocking power pop God in this video. Check out my collection of obscure pop and overlooked talented indypop artists at a new site called "songheads". Just google the word songheads!

  • so exciting to see and hear this again

  • One of the greatest songs ever. I wore this song out on the Teenage Zombie soundtrack.

  • Thanks you. I am a big fan and saw the dB's in the early 80s. Maybe 82 in San Francisco... of course they were great....

  • I never saw the db's live and I still kick myself for it because I know they played here a few times back in the day. One of the best bands of that era, without a doubt. Great to see some video of them, thanks for posting it.

  • Great to see this. What a find! The 17 year old me is very jealous of the 43 year old me that gets to see this.

  • so glad peter's bike finally got in a music video.

  • Its the long-lost "Like This" cover footage! I love it!! Such good memories tied to this band, song and album. Great job, Jake and Phil!

  • Thanks! This was A LOT of fun.

  • Fantastique! Man, it's nice to see and hear this song again. Like a blast of ice-cold water. Pete's voice is perfect, strong and wiry. I think I might have to go digging thru my vinyl. I'm ready for the reunion tour. (Not sure why it said "this video is not available" at the dbsonline site.)

  • Not only were you skinny, so were all of us.
