I had filling today 3 of them beacuse they were in different parts of my mouth the injection killed it was almost like my face was swellin up the drill part was a peacer cake it when they have to put this like jell stuff in your mouth it taste discustin but for all you worrin it isn't as bad as you think you'll get thruoght fine

wow the Dental assistant is so bad here. She puts a bib on him after he has been in the chair for over 5 mins. Then after the shot is given she does not preform a full mouth rinse, plus i saw no topical used on him. wow.

I have to get 10 fillings. I'm not afraid of the shot, to be honest my worst fear is the sound of the drill, and I've never had a filling before so I don't know what it feels like to have a drill in your mouth.

@largeaquaticmammal if you are not afraid of the shot you shouldn't be afraid of the drilling at all xD I hate the shots, but after that I usually calm down a lot since you don't feel anything anymore. I only hate the big drills which really makes this GRSHH sound.. *has had over 30 fillings*.. next month I have to get a root canal treatment X( and 1 week after that a root tip resection.. fillings are nothing compared to that :P

@lol5ko Listen hunny, im 11 and i got 2 fillings done the other day. I also might to have my tooth pulled out!!! I had seven injections and I was quite scared, but I promise you, it isnt that bad! I was ok about the injection, it just tastes NASTY! Plus, the filling doesnt hurt, the worst part is all the water being sprayed into your mouth. Dont get worried and dont be scared, because, I promise you darling, it is absoluetly alright. I dont even mind the dentist now! Hope I calmed you! x x x x

@TheSugarbaby4 One side of your mouth will feel numb for the rest of the day. It goes back to normal the following day though. The needle is a bit of a shock the first time it goes in, but it's not really that painful.

i had to do 5 once, and i hate needles i did 3 without any Novocain or anything cause im a puss when it comes to the syringes, its like the most extreme cold feeling on a pin point, like an ice cycle on a nerve tip only way i can describe it, anyway i did 3 and my leg started spazzing from holding still and playing it off like it didnt hurt. the dr then forced me to take a needle and messed around for 5 more mins, i asked if he was gonna finish the other 2 and he was like " i did, im done"

Oooh blood at 2:40. I had 3 fillings today and it was my worst time getting fillings EVER. I have had tons of fillings before today but today was just... horrible. He only froze the top part of my mouth and did 2 fillings on the bottom first (Which I did feel the drill gong into my teeth and hitting my nerve) But I did not speak out because Im not that kind of guy. I just got unfrozen now (5 hours later) and my bottom teeth are sensitive while my top are. Hopefully it will go away.

I had 3 done earlier today. They gave me a little bit of some kind of numbing jelly in between my mouth and cheeks. Once I couldn't feel anything they stuck me about 7 times in various places with the shot, it only hurt when the doc went really deep at one point. Then they drilled a bit, and filled up my cavities. There was a really sensitive spot in which I was in total pain, but it only lasted a sec and something like that probably won't happen most of the time. Then I was done.

@SIRINTEGRA its not bad at all, the worst pain is the numbing shot which isnt even that painfull. this doesnt apply to you if your getting put to sleep. lol. try and drink things that arent too cold for a day or too... it hurts. DONT CHEW ICE for a while.

Last year, I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out. I was awake for the entire duration and had about 10 shots or more lol. I wasn't scared of the shots one bit.

I despise drilling though. That's the only part of the procedure I'm scared of. :/

No, you feel nothing but a little pressure and some sound. Fillings are the least bothering out of most all dental procedures. No problem at all. The only pain you may experience the DAY AFTER is a sore jaw from holding your jaw open during the whole thing.
