The red square is joined to the main part of the boat.

The paddle is just Ridig propelled by Jet on each blade.

When the paddle hits the red square, it pushes the whole boat.

I edited the save file.

(I had to replace the word 'dot' with 'square' to get this message to post)

Editing the save file after drawing it.

I'll probably explain it in a future tutorial. But it's a bit annoying because if you hit save in oe-cake, it un-joins your stuff.

So you have to draw everything, and then join. You can't modify (save) it again unless you want to re-join everything.

Joining is easy though. I do it by colour. Just join all red stuff, etc...

Actually, you don't need to edit any files. you just have to delete with the replace tool instead of brush or anything else, and it will be joined and not fall apart until you draw an extension to it with the brush or erase part of it with the actual eraser.

Yeah i know. I find it easier to just draw in colours, and link according to colour, because you can't use the shape tool the other way. Everything has to be deleted by brush.

Yeah thats an advantage but i'll have to do some testing. Like what happens if it interacts with other materials, is the link lost, etc...

The whole boat needs to be above water more, you could fix that by ROFL AT THE OBESE DRAGON (just came up on the video then) lol!!

but anyway.. just make the boat hollow, that way it'll float higher. You could also move the paddle a bit higher than the boat than it already is, that might help (because it seems to be pushing water forward when it flies over the top of it which means it's too submerged)

The front part is indeed too heavy. You can clearly see that if it would be lighter, the boat would have a higher velocity.

The paddle has a gyroscopic effect.

The way it makes the boat go forward is when the paddle inside bumps into the red square.

I was going for a steady rate rather than little bursts of speed.

The boat was made of light rigid so that it would always float up.

But yeah, it could be much better. Only a proof of concept though. I might make an engine next type thing next.

if you have it you can just change the month to december or something and it will work he has a tutorial on it.

Yep, you don't even need to change the date anymore, it just works normally. Poor date protection impementation...
