@SmileysRevenge100 well, actually, it can be a nice tool to make that one note thats alittle high for you sound normal, with a smooth autotune, but not the shit that those rappers use nowadays or bands like Attack Attack. That's just horrible, but for instance in Willing - Times of Grace (the acoustic version) an autotune is used, but you don't hear it at all unless you have a trained ear for it. This.. is horrible though.

@Direksone Agreed. I don't think auto tune in and of it's self is bad, I just hate what it's become. If used very subtly it's great for fixing those spots where the singer is slightly out of tune, but over do it and it has that noticeable robot effect; which is ok, but only in certain contexts. Eiffel 65 popularized that effect in their hit song Blue and I'd say it was very appropriate for that song, but now people are using that effect, not to enhance their music, but because it's that effect.

@EseWonder u have to d/l it...the one he's using is "antares" they offer 10 day free trials on all their stuff but after that u gotta buy it..or try and download a cracked version of it of a torrent site...it doesn't come stock in protools...important thing he forgot to mention lol....

@BMUSIK101 False, Macs use AU, and can also use VST with a few additional installation steps. PT is only compatible with RTAS however, which I find a pain in the ass, but makes processing the audio easier on the CPU.

The only real problem I have with this vid is that it starts with setting up a project. When get around to using autotune you already know how to do that. I could use a real in depth tutorial about autotune evo, cause I feel I don't make use of it's full potential.

even if you download pro tools, it wont work without an interface. its best to get pro tools hd, but if you can't get that, then i say get logic pro, or pro tools le. DO NOT GET PRO TOOLS M-POWERED!!!

@kcashtv they are not the same! There is a huge difference in the quality! Its about the a/d conversion. And With M-powered you are very limited. If you don't see or feel that you are limited, you aren't and experienced mixer or engineer. M-powered pro tools is so waterd down.
