@HaligonianType1 you can mirror your iPhone iPod and iPad to it, you can stream movies that u have stored on your iPhone iPad iPod and computer, and music and videos of youtube, and in a thew months with an update for mac to os x mountain lion you can mirror everything on your mac on ur tv :D

Good review...but I’m trying to figure out why I would want/need an Apple TV? I have a blue ray player...which I watch netflix on... as well as my MacBook Pro. I’m always ready to get another Apple product but just trying figure out if I would use it.

@MadLegitGamerz No, you don't pay a monthy fee, you just buy the box. If you want to rent a movie, then you have to pay, but only for the movie. If you're gonna watch sports (MLB), then you have to pay to subscribe (monthy fee), but that's just for sports.

When it comes to the iphone: Both YES AND NO. You can use airplay mirroring if you have updated to IOS 5, BUT THAT FEATURE IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR THE IPHONE 4S AND THE IPAD (2).

I just got this a month ago, and the home sharing feature has been nothing but problems! I took it back to Apple and they replaced it, but the replacement is still having the same problems. I've checked on some message boards and I've been reading complaints about the same problems with home sharing! I can use the internet radio, youtube, Nexflix, etc... but unfortunately I can't give this thing a 'thumbs up' and I plan to return it as I wanted it specifically for home sharring.
