The razor does get clogged. Add a couple drops of tea tree oil and rinse the razor under super HOT water. This works on the beard but steaming your face with a hot towel before shaving softens the hairs.

Plus the oil helps preserve my razor blades after shaving. Allowing me to save even more money!

Olive oil works well for men too. Take a couple of drops, rub it onto your face. The apply your shaving cream as normal. I noticed a very big difference.

THIS IS STUPID!! So much easier & cheaper to shave with hair conditioner, been doing it for over a decade. Both on your skin and in the shower, olive oil will go rancid and make a huge mess. If you MUST use oil, use almond oil. No smell, less mess. Been using it for a decade after shower as moisturizer on wet skin. Put a few drops on ea. leg, etc. Blot dry with old hand towel, which you wash separately. Fabulous!

I think its a little silly to use olive oil to shave with, but I definitly see the benefit of using a shave oil. I have really sensitive skin, so shaving was a nightmare for me with frequent shaving bumps and redness. A friend introduced me to pre-shave oil. You put it on your skin and let it sit for a few minutes then you apply shaving cream or gel over it. Makes for a really smooth shave.

ive tried to shave with oil before, it gave me razor burn! i use dove body bar.that is cheaper than shaving cream.but i have very sensitive skin, so i have to be carefull when shaving.

you still have to lotion your legs if you do it already, but using a bar of soap, esecially one that has oils in it,like doves and a few other brands really have some nice ones.
