You can see Prices side if you look up skepticon he gave a speech at one. I wouldn't put much stock in it as even the Agnostic historical Jesus scholar Bart Erhman and the new Atheist Richard Dawkins concede that Yeshua was propaly an actual person.
What a puss! Doesn't post the whole debate? Even as a fellow christian I find this cowardly and dishonest. A shame on any professional debator! Too bad for you Jacoby, too bad! You make cowards of all of us!
I want to hear Dr. Price's comments. Why is Douglas Jacoby only posting ONE side of the debate? What are you afraid of in Dr. Price's assertion that Jesus never existed?
Nice, up to the point of about 5:36. I think the distinctions, as far as internal content are concerned, between some of the apocryphal sources you used and the canonical books are just arbitrary. What I mean is, if you were to single out a passage from any New Testament book that does not have a parallel in any other book, then one could make the same argument you have used here to say that such a passage is different from the rest of the canon and thus not canonical. More or less.
Now, I'm am in no way arguing for the authenticity of the pseudepigraphal works, I'm just saying that if you zoom in and pigeon hole such differences then you can argue for the exculsion of just about anything from any group.
I mean, you talk about a preaching dog, yet in the OT, Balaam's donkey spoke to him and chastised him for his cruelty. Not to mention the talking snake in Eden.
Anyway, I may just be nitpicking here, but I just don't think that's good logic that you used there. Bad omen.
@MisterBoswell That's the OT, not the NT. The difference is that the nutty stuff in the OT could of happened. While whatever anybody tries to add to the NT, doesn't add up.

Its amazing how people can convince themselves of something just because they want it to be so.

The disciples, though I prefer 'cult-members', clearly had the same mentality as Islamist suicide bombers today.

What can you expect from Christians? This is the way they operate.
