The officials in the NBA have come under personal scrutiny that they honestly cannot handle. Obviously getting to the NBA level has cost them alot of work, only to have it stepped on by the leage. If they make the right calls, team owners start complaining to the NBA which in turn tells the refs to "tone it down" then they do. If they dont do as told, they get bad evaluations and they dont get any more games.
