  • BEAUTIFUL SONG. Stereolab is the SHIZNIT!

  • I still find this heaertbreaking.

  • amazing

  • i love you stereolab <3

  • Yo this song is perfect

  • @MaskedTalent Yo!

  • @MaskedTalent ...and it's not even the whole song.

  • l'enfance apporte le magique...

  • Best band since the Beatles , I reckon

  • wow what a great song!!!

  • one of the best songs ive ever heard. can anyone recommend another that compares; not by stereolab but similar in style and grace.

  • portishead or metric are similar but not that deep and old fashioned as stereolab, both are female voiced btw

  • My first listen to Stereolab was in '97 and, I don't know,...I can't quite describe it, it was like nothing else before or since. They are just supremely special, I adore Stereolab-period!

  • this just brings memories of traveling on the train in europe around '98. ahhhhhh.

  • ...le jardin au haut portique...

  • ooohhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • A band called the Vanduras does a BEAUTIFUL cover of this song. Look for it!

  • great, so great.

    i'm a stereolab addict....

  • December 13 in Dublin :)

  • super retro!!!

  • Hola!!! tremendo el concierto en Fillmore!! busco a una chica muy especial q conocí en el concierto del Fillmore en NYC y de la q no me pude despedir en condiciones...

No dudes en enviarme un privado si lo lees, salu2

  • Brilliant, superb, unique, just a pearl...

  • Truly tender

  • I just love stereolab.. And i absolutely adore this song.. its really beautiful..

  • tres cool...wish I'd heard of them earlier...now a fan...

  • My sentiments exactly. I wish I knew of their "Transient Random-Noise Bursts" Phase as it was happening. What was I listening to then? Around that time I think I was MC Hammer's "Too Legit to Quit". *shudders*

    Thanks for posting!

  • About the lyrics, the English lyrics are also "ugly" and "painful to listen to." But I think the groop would probably prefer them to be thought of as a means to an end.

  • beautiful song

  • tell me of some good french indie bands

  • there aren't much if u wanna know... Karkwa, Malajube, Chocolat, Pas Chic Chic, Vulgaires Machins...

  • thanks!

  • I tend to disagree and find the word stupid inappropriate. I believe the depth of their philosophical position matches well with the simplicity of their lyrics. You would not hear a Zen master speak in words loaded with stylistic concerns. They would say, remind, puzzle and leave. I think anybody who reads a bit on the tensions between an objectivist Western worldview and an experiential Eastern philosophy would find these lyrics quite intelligent and down to earth.

  • This is beautiful

  • Such a beautiful song...can't believe I used to /not/ like it. The multiple female vocals part on the chorus is my favorite part. <3

  • LOVE IT !!!!

  • I havent found a song by these guys I didnt like!!!!!!! what ever happend to them?

  • they're still around.

  • one of the girls died, if im not mistaken, riding her bike in london, correct me if im wrong! excellent band. england needs more of this now, than haircut type disco shite ala crap gang of fours. boo

  • Her name was Mary Hanson and she rocked. RIP my sweet.

  • What she and Laetitia did for Stereolab was nothing short of the sweetest art. I thank God I was able to see them live in their prime.

  • such a happy tune!

  • reminds me of a david lynch film

  • I liked your comment :)

  • It's "inspired by" Cocteau

  • With a pinch of Busby Berkeley, no ?

  • @giorgiomichello great observation. And let me add a little U.S.O.A, as well: United States of America "Coming Down"

  • @sinkoonsouth yes, yes and yes.

  • j'adore cette chanson! mais j'ai jamais compris ce que la chanteuse chantais... c'est du francais tellement moche!

  • On s'en fout, l'harmonie est belle !

  • Je sais ... mais des fois j'essaie d'ecouter les paroles... :)

  • whats talk about this song?

  • amazing!

  • laeticia looks like isabella roselini in this one, which is appropriate because the whole thing resembles the stage in "saddest music in the world".

  • And she also really looks like -- to me at least -- Maria Falconetti, or Renée Jeanne Falconetti for you purists...

Sadder even. And just too gorgeous.

    Dear Mary, sleep well!

  • J'adore Stereolab, cet une group magnifique...

  • omg guys i just heard laetitia died in a car crash. :(

  • It was Mary that was killed 3 years ago or so...terrible.

  • Excellent stuff. Stereolab might turn you off at first, but every song seems to go into a crazy unending crescendo towards the end. Great reward for the patient.

Et les dessins, c'est cocteau? ou bien c'est du n'importe quoi pour le clip? It looks familiar.

  • .......stereolab do it for me! quality songs!!

  • This really does sound a lot like april march... or maybe april march sounds like stereolab

  • great video, great song!!!!!

  • I love Stereolab, but their videos are FREAK city!!!!!!!

  • se la dedico a vanessa de los rios...tu amiga de siempre yamila!!! te adoro, gracias por stereolab

  • Is there somebody that can post Supêrelectric?

  • unreality..

    great song...

  • Laetitia looks like she's Alex (Blur) James' sister. To the end.

  • Stereolab- best groop ever.

  • For me to poop on! =) jk'in

  • I was determined to have "Emperor Tomato Ketchup" again. Some bugger nicked my copy some years ago so it was a relief to find a new copy on eBay. Mary Hansen R.I.P. Mike S.

  • Je t'aime.

  • <3lieben Sie es!<3

  • beautiful

  • this is such a great album; i actually got into them thanks to pearl jam's monkey wrench radio.

  • cette chanson me font à des marques triste tellement heureux!!!

  • i know about them and when i hear this is avant garde bliss.. .culture, beauty, talent, rawness, privlidge, modern, love and romance.....

  • ....Absolutely beautiful....i'm glad that Stereolab exist and not everyone in the world knows about them!!

  • Stereolab brings joy to my ears. This is one of my favorite songs from them.

  • I agree, this is such a beautiful song.

  • it is the best song of the 90's, isnt it???

  • I love that song, the video is interesting, I like it.
