  • if i can i wanna ask 2 questions...both based on ur minor rock blues lesson....there r 5 boxes but i guess im tryin to figure out which box to start a solo in? or does it matter? what do they usually do besides box 1?.......and why do i find guitarists starting a couple of notes above or below the root note .....i hear to start at root but i see them starting 2 notes under or over ////thx

  • @bobsimp2372

you can start in any box you like..it doesn't matter

also you can start wit any note yo like if it sounds good to you

    there are no rules....

  • @bobsimp2372 so i dont have to start on a "chord note? when i wanna start soloin? i know i have to land on one to end the phrase or solo right??.......thank u for responding to me theo.. God bless if u believe man .....thanx

  • @bobsimp2372

    the chord notes sound "stronger"

  • Thanks Theodore for posting this lesson

  • @tziras Hello Mr Ziras !! I don´t want to sound like a troll ´cause 100% of my knowledge and playing are coming from your lessons but the whole tone scale and the augmented scale are completely differents .

    The whole tone scale is : 1-2-3-#4-#5-#6-b7 and the augmented scale is T 2# 3 5 5# 7 .

Thanks again for the lesson and sorry for anything ...

  • @VanishaGlamChick6

    yes it is...

  • Hi theodore :) in the whole tone scale there are modes?

  • @EmanueleFerro

    nο...

  • Smile for once! You have perfect technique!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi, great lesson, thx:) I have 1 question tho regarding theory. Do you use the whole tone scale in major keys or in minor keys ( because u have the maj 3rd in the scale ), and in what chord progression will it work and sound ok, because theres alot of outside notes comparing to the ones of the key were in:) Thanks in advance:)

  • @longinus101

whole tone scale fits over an Augmented chord because of the #5 note

    Augmented chord is: 1 3 #5

  • @tziras

Thanks alot:) So it cant be used over anithing else than augmented?:)

  • @longinus101

Whole tone fits over any chord that has

    major 3rd and augmented 5th

  • @tziras

Ok i thing i got it:) Thanks alot:) And sorry for bothering u with my questions:)

  • @longinus101

    my pleasure...

  • i cant understand you a lot of the times lol there should be subtitles in your vids lol jk great vid

  • Great lesson. Something new to work on. YEAH!!!!

  • Ohh you have your own signature model, nice! (:

  • Hello Theodore!! Firstly I would like to thank you for all your lessons, it is greatly appreciated what you are doing for the guitarist community!! I just have a question it may sound weird but I was wondering if you could provide some pointers on the best way in which to memorize the notes of the fretboard? That way it'll be easier to fly up and down the neck like you do! Thanks in advance Theodore, you're the man!!

  • @EdGeCrUsHeR007

learn by heart 3 notes (e.g C, E, G) all over the fretboard

then it will by easier to find the remaining ones

    e.g D is 2 frets near C or E etc etc

  • damn.... watching your videos make me wanna pickup my guitar and start practicing for hours...

  • @harlanpetrucci

    do it....

  • This guy is an awesome player.

  • I dont know why but this scale sounds like The Simpsons song, at least for me

  • @seventhson12

because of the #4, Simsons is Lydian
