  • all i think of when i hear this song is flanders' stupid brainwashed children singing it on their way to bed. rod and tod flanders are satires of how religious people brainwash their kids. all kids of religious people are exactly like rod and tod flanders.

  • quick question. what's that contemporary christian song that in one of the verses it goes something like "You love the dirty, you love the lost, you love the broken, those crying in pain"...something something "you love the sad" something "you love me like mad" idk if the lines are necessarily in that order though. sorry that this is really vauge but it's all i can remember and it's been driving me crazy. if anyone has any idea i would greatly appreciate them letting me know :)

  • Great rendition. I first heard BRINGING IN THE SHEAVES courtesy of THE THREE GODFATHERS with John Wayne. A group of ladies therein sang a spirited rendition of this hymn and it struck a chord with me immediately. Great "come to meetin'" tune.

  • I used to sing this song when I was a little girl changed sheaves and use to say bringing in the cheese Ha Ha brings back alot of memories

  • I first heard this song on a TV show in 1963 or so--Dennis Weaver's first show after "Gunsmoke"--show called "Kentucky Jones" about a horse breeder in Kentucky who adopts a Chinese boy. Harry Morgan was also in the cast. Great inspirational song...I sang it in church today! My guitar and me...
