  • i always loved the costumes for the pretzel and bratwurst part... just saying!

    great job guys!

  • Oh come on people!!! It's a witty and fun song that both the actors and audience enjoy. Before you bother to post negative comments watch the beginning of the show and you will see that they wanted to do this to make the worst show on broadway and that's why the humor was so direct, showing

how silly people could make a truly frightening event in history and in a different perspective. Stop being so pissy;)

  • i just got in. i'm a little worried haha.

  • How donthay get them to do yhis

  • Yes it is high schoolers theyre not crazy its an awessomme show but that lead tenor was a little weak

  • This was AWESOME!!! What an amazing talent these kids have. Congratulations!

  • ATTENTION EVERYONE: This is from a theater camp, not a high school. CALM DOWN.

  • only Larry Nye :) his show this year during session 3 was awesome!!

  • im not jew anymore

  • No parent shpuld be shocked. The play was even shown in Israel. The kids acting here are very talented, as it's a very complex play and very demanding. Justin does a great job. The whole cast is great. BTW, I live in Israel, I am jewish and I am gay. And I think this is hilarious.

  • Wow that was amazing! I'm a fan of the original play, and you did a real great job! Unfortunally in my country (Italy) this couldn't be possibile to do, because we have a lot of damn moralist and dumb people who can't understand that it's a funny play and a smart way to jokin on a bad plauge as the Nazi party as been in Europe.

  • @darkjack86 But Italy Plagued Europe and Africa aswell? Don't mean to bring back history, but you can't just blame the Germans.

  • I really want to do The Producers for a school musical but dad is this crazy conservative Jew who thinks for some reason, making fun of Hitler as offensive to the Jews.

  • wow high school musicals changed

  • @damienfeb01 i hate your eyes

  • 2:46 ROFL his swastika fell off XD

  • Back in the late eightys I remember that we couldn't writhe an essay in the frist person about the send word war, like, 'Hi, my name is Himmler and I'm a traitor'. Shame it would have been good. This though is stunningly good! Bravo! An absolute bonkers choice but Well Done!!

  • Amazing how much work you have put into this. The whole performance would have been unimaginable at my school.. and not just because i live in the "wrong" country for that play ^^

  • the kid who plays hitler will do great things. mark my words.

  • I did this at my High school and i played Adolf Hitler but we did the original "The Producers" from 1968 insted of this one from 2005 but i think you should have a look at the original its better and at the end funnier

  • thumbs up for the sequin-wurst! XD hehe, really great performance guys :D

  • Is this a high school thing

  • @JAMbannana Stagedoor Manor, a performing arts camp in Loch Sheldrake, NY

  • hilarious.

  • y does my school not let us do this

  • i can't beleive that you got away with this. If we did that in my school, the police and administrators would come down on us like a friggin ton of bricks

  • @athenalover5903 They can probably do it because it is a private school with focus in the theater arts. A public school would never let this happen. Private schools have a lot more room to do what they want to teach how they want to teach, which is why 9 times out of 10 they are better than any public school.

  • the guy on the right with the really long legs mmmm, to bad my boyfriend is only 5'8 xD

  • wow i bet u pissed some neonazi's off... though it made me laugh... im not a nazi but ima fan of how far they got in world empire.

  • Wow! I was looking for movie clips, and I found this! BRAVO, everyone! Amazing job!!! :)

  • Major leap of faith right there xD great job

  • FTW An Epic of Epic Epicness

  • 2:55

    HAVE HIM SHOT!!!!

Heh, but seriously good job :)

  • @perischacknow:

    Just letting you know...

That is, hands down THE BEST amateur MUSICAL NUMBER I have ever seen, PERIOD, and I am including years of high school, college, and community theatre viewing and critiquing experience in that (and that's better than some PROFESSIONAL shows I've seen as well.)

Your kids really stepped it up there--pun intended, it's OK, I'm a Jew, lol--and the set design, production values, and choreography in particular were EXCEPTIONAL.

    The Master Show! ;)

  • where the hell can you get a giant swatica flag in america?

  • It's a summer camp guys.

  • fuck yea great job guys sieg heil!

  • They all deserve a medal!! lol

  • awesome!!! xD how old are they?

  • @suiankumori Most of the kids were probably 15 - 17. Justin, who played Rober DeBris (playig Hitler) was 17. Thanks for your kind comment,

  • @suiankumori I was the youngest in the production and at the time I was 13. Everyone else was 14-18. It was so much fun!

  • @perischacknow I'm not sure, but I think DeBris is gay! XD

  • This is amazing. OMG.

  • wtf!!! XDDD

  • OMG. sooo lucky you guys got to do this show! fantastic performance!

  • GOD i wish my high school was cool enough to do the producers! i must try and convince the teacher to do it. Damn you american high schools and your large budgets and much better productions!

  • @CigarChompingindst

    its not a school, haha.

its from my summer camp, Stagedoor Manor<3

  • hitler's quite limber... XD

  • i loverd that, just am i the only one who hates it when the music is all played on a piano

  • @iBook3503332 Yeah, It annoys me too, but most high school performance stages don't have an orchestra pit.

  • i love how the scrim got stuck :P but this was soo good

  • bullshit) the whole idea of that crap not the perfomance.

  • @eXTreemator are you even familiar with the story of The Producers? The story is about intentionally making a show flop..."Springtime for Hitler" is a show within a show..the idea was for it to be campy and offensive...these kids did a great job with it.

  • This is so amazing, best probably I've ever seen I want to go to this camp! but I don't have the money to go ....oh well.

  • they need to play the real music. better singer. better actors. and better NAZIS!!!

and also a better Hitler and SS Officers

  • They REALLY need to wear mics

  • That was incredible! Hitler was hilarious, very good singer, and dancer and funny too. Way to go!

  • the nazi soldier had to be blonde with blue eyes.

  • @reiAYANAMI1992 Erm...no. As far as they are white and with clear eyes it's okay.

  • I feel sorry for the pianist - seeing as there's no band they're really working overtime.

  • awesome

  • As a theatre aficionado, I can say that this is a superb performance.

As an IB Theatre Student, I am inspired by this performance!

  • Lololol!

  • I wonder how many parents freaked out.

  • @Lolzpaws None! It's Stagedoor Manor...we GET theater!!

  • @perischacknow I see now, I saw where someone commented about it be a High School play, so

  • @Lolzpaws Very True But I Would Be Very Happy Of My

  • @Lolzpaws if they are German like me none

  • HITLER!!!....*random twitching"

  • utterly utterly brilliant. thanks to whoever loaded this up. it was a real treat.

  • @blackpoolrok You are most welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed. The kids put this together in a little over two weeks, so I'm sure they really appreciate your comment!

  • Stagedoor Manor should provide a piano tuning for this performance. It is important for the overall quality of this study/performance opportunity and takes $40- $60.00 out of the budget.

  • Add 2 paper tanks at the finale and it'll be perfect! (It was so funny...)

And those longer verses... you improvised yourself??

  • This is really good!

  • Those two guy tappers are huge haha.

  • 2:45 FAIL

  • i love this so much =]

  • 2:45

Ahahaha, they guy dropped his swastika!

  • AWESOOOME!! =)

  • As the great philosopher Slavoj Zizek put it: "First as tragedy, then as farce."

  • Very Cool !!

  • This wasn't at a high school. It was at Stagedoor Manor!

  • I heard the German government has finally allowed The Producers to be performed in Berlin!

Except swastikas are still illegal in Germany. So in the show, they used pretzels on the flags.

This would be great to do at a high school!

They could do a project on how Germans felt AFTER the war. Much better than expecting everyone to be shocked but ignorant about Germans today.

I asked 18 adults in Minneapolis who the chancellor of Germany is. Zero of them knew!

    Her name is Angela Merkel.

  • the Hitler actor was pretty good< but I think he could of up-the-ancied the gay voice.

  • Can't believe they actually let someone do this in a high school.

  • Wait, is this is a high school play? Was someone awesomely insane enough to have kids do a reproduction of the Producers?

  • Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center...a little more sophisticated an environment than most high schools.

  • Yeah apparently, it's a lot better than most others I've seen on youtube.

  • On behalf of the kids, thank you!

  • @SunStealer1

this is from a prestigious theatre camp called Stagedoor Manor. It is my favorite place to be, and although I was not in this particular production there, I am proud to say I had the chance to see this show. It'll be my third summer back this year!

There was also a book just published called Theatre Geek about our camp :) I think its available at Borders & Barns and Noble. Plus on Amazon.com

  • @SunStealer1

It's not really insanity so much as having a totally freaking awesome head of the drama program.

  • @sunStealer1

its from a lovely place I call my second home, Stagedoor Manor.

  • @SunStealer1 That's not insane. If someone doesn't get the humor in this, they're probably square. And it's fun. Chill out.

  • 人間生活の面ではヒトラーは良いお手本。

  • A local community theatre is doing this show right now. These kids are doing a FAR better job than we are. I give them all the credit in the world. Talented people!

  • lol at the flying swastica!

  • I have a deeper voice than that S.S. Officer and I'm only 12!

  • @mysterypolice Well i dont think he was ment to have deep voice anyway its ment to be gay as possible

  • Ok, so you hear the S.S. Officer at the start singing in a high voice. I don't think anybody would like that, I think that people would perfer his voice to be lower. If your singing all high and sqeaky its not going to sound good compared to a low voice thats meant for the part.

  • SS It would have been greater with low voice for sure that sounds girly but i think its part of the show...

  • Oh yeah. Give me a thumbs down, I wonder who that pussy was.

  • Maybe if they just stuck to tapdancing...

  • This is pretty bad. What drunk was in charge of this? They fucked up a classic.

  • This could have used A lOT more work, but was pretty decent.

  • their five...

  • they're talented people that deserve more respect than that

  • miss this <3

  • you butchered a classic

  • was ok, the chorus parts were the best!

  • Those nazigirls are hot.

  • 1st of all... Nice effort!

However that was not the Broadway Choreography at all?!?!?!

and some mics would have been nice!

  • you're not allowed to use broadway choreography.

    its illegal.

    :)

  • Actually, when we did this show at my local theatre, we absolutely had to use the same broadway choreography. It was mandatory and part of the rights that we needed to follow to do it.

  • the first legal authorized-by-Brooks- high school production of this show also was forced to use the REAL broadway choreography....and we kicked ass with it...so yeah. you missed out.

  • I hope you didn't mean this video because those people really sucked. THe teenage girls were sexyer to look at still they sucked.

  • well stagedoor does an average of 13 shows every session, so i'm pretty sure trying to get every actor/actress in every show a microphone wouldn't be cost effective.

  • Never thought I would applaud Hitler but awesome work!!!

  • Justin Schuman has a lot of stage presence. I'm sure he'd be great on Broadway.

  • it's true. i saw him in cabaret this past session in cabaret and he was amazing.

  • Much of the costumes and choreography moves look "borrowed" from either the broadway cast or the movie. I highly recommend hiring a much more suitable artistic director.

  • No it was def. real, Hitler ALWAYS did live shows where he did Liza impersonations!!!

  • are you joking or do you have facts to back this up?

  • That was a joke, you don't actually believe I was being serious do you???

  • No.

  • i thought it was good but roger de bris couldve been bigger, I agree with actor james.

  • we are doing this show in KC starts in July and I have watched a lot of versions online and this is one of my favorites. the guy that plays Hitler did a great job, has a nice voice and is a great dancer. awesome!

  • Mr. Schuman gets for his performence 5 Stars!!

  • that's the most flaming hitler i've ever seen.

    i love it.

  • overall really good. this looks like so much fun!

  • Awesome!

  • The Gentleman who played Hitler, could have gotten a little more into the part. It looks too stagey. The overall performance was alright.

  • very nice... good job!

  • nice one

  • the guy who dropped his swastika shouldn't have picked it back up, looks really unprofessional

  • I really like this. The only critique I would have is that Roger Debris was too gay... I think it's funnier when he chooses certain points to really queen out so the comparison is greater.

  • I loved the hand at the end! Classic!!!

  • Great costumes and sets, but the singing is very weak.

  • GDS in washington dc was SOOOOOO much better than this....

and the main guy got into broadway

  • A better pianist and some wireless mics fir the lead vocals and you guys would be on track! good job!

  • thats was cool, if you guys would have had a full orchestra it really could have help... but over all awesome lol

  • Justin.... two words: Awesome performance!!!!

  • The guy playing ss officer should of had a bigger voice.. but lol if i ever did this id want to be in that part xD

  • WOW! That was awesome... I really had some fun watching it. Of course, not a broadway production, but it's still AWESOME!

  • wow that was great

  • where is stage door manor?

  • Stagedoor Manor is in Loch Sheldrake New York.

  • I'm really impressed with this!...how much were the rights to this show cuz i'd love to talk very professionally to my "english/Drama" teacher who does our school shows about this, our school really ruins any show it does...but y not go out with a bang like the Producers! haha i love the show and u made a gr8 job of it!

  • Thanks for the nice comment. MTI has the rights to The Producers. We don't know how much Stagedoor paid, sorry!

  • you've gotta credit the pianist at this point after doing the entire musical solo

  • lol its always been a dream of mine to play the black SS guy in the begining....

  • no solo dancing for Ulla?

  • I could have guessed that was Larry's doing. I love him.

  • Woww! Stagedoor Pride!

  • there are no words for how much i love justin schuman.

  • Hehehe, ive got to admit that was good!

  • he can kick really high! ha ha awesome

  • all you had was a piano. it reminds me of when i was the awful ellis opera

  • This is hilarious! Great Job to the guys at Stagedoor!

  • Great talent, hope to see you in broadway

    Congratulations guys!!!

  • that was good.

    how old are you kids?

  • Roger DeBris (playing Hitler) is 17. Everyone else is in their teens, too.

  • Where is this "Stagedoor Manor"?

  • Yes, this past August.

  • No, i mean like where is it...location lol.

  • Oh, sorry. Stagedoor is in Loch Sheldrake, New York, just outside of Liberty.

  • close to jersey?

  • as much as i love springtime for hitler and the producers, but children? come on!

  • I have to let you know i went to stagedoor for 6 years from when i was 12 to 18 and though you may think it is strange that these kids preform adult material, it really isn't. tho their ages are young, stagedoor kids act like adults (we are all very mature for our ages)

  • and plus, it would be a horrible experience to do a dumbed down show for kids. for the talent stagedoor has, we "kids" are mature and good enough for these shows thank you.
