the ear plug thing karl mentioned about having a background sound making u fall asleep is actually true. But they don't believe him because 1, they're ignorant, and 2 they assume it's stupid because it comes from Karl. People with tinnitus use a fan or something which camoflages the ringing in their ears and they can sleep faster

i need to say this. if you put on a constant noise, for example tv static, it drowns out other sounds. and due to it being a constant sound, you do not concentrate on it. i did this when i was working in the city for a few weeks! worked a dream :) on this, as well as many other points - karl is right.
