this truth in advertising only says what I already think... that ads nowdays are aimed at idiots. I am not environmentally conscious because I buy a plastic bottle with less plastic - I'm environmentally conscious because of what I do with that bottle (recycle/reuse) or I'm even more conscious by not buying individually packaged waters and instead buying a filter and filtering my own water using a reusable container. Arrowhead is not an eco-friendly company they're just trying not to look so bad
@gizmofsu thanks for reminding us all to be thankful coz this respectable company here is nice enough to let us know that they are willing to fuck our world %30 less if we continue to buy their fine bottled water and advertising this fact as if we will be like angels walking on earth if we do so...
Nestle corporate whores screwing their employees screwing the environment screwing the public. They fired a double ASE master certified mechanic 13 year employee for changing the desk top wall paper on his company computer and said it was computer hacking then a month later placed an ad on head hunter service to replace him at 1/3 less cost. It was for corporate greed. GAME ON You could be next!
@mack1zero Arrowhead is fantastic. One of the best bottled waters besides Fiji. I would ask you what you like, but I fear it's Dasani or Aquafina.
@TruthAdvertising In short, you're complaining about them using less plastic. How deluded have you become? Perhaps your energy would be better served coming up with a better alternative. Perhaps we should drink our water from disposable bags?
Interesting this modified ad attributes the water bottle purchase issue to Americans! Truth & Advertising, Its a global issue, targeting one company and country and its citizens is irresponsible. But it is free advertising for Nestle's Arrowhead water .candy floss surveys/modified ads can not cure global decay! I do use their bottles over for my green lemoniade. The ad tries to target possitive change and is a step in the right direction. One step is all it takes. Don't waste time take action!
i like how it talks about the bottles being in landfills and not being recycled when its primarily because most people (not everyone) just throws the bottles out and doesnt recycle them. oh and dont forget how a lot of places in america dont have a recycling program. its not the water companies fault.
When you really think about it, we ought to abolish bottled water outright. Tap water in most developed nations is perfectly healthy, and where there are issues we'd be smarter to purify the local water supply. Every litre of bottled water takes three to five litres of water to produce and at least a litre or more of crude oil in the production process. Bottled water has to be the biggest con ever!
I should add that if you look up two of Coca-Cola's bottled water brands (Bon Aqua and Dasani) they've had to come clean about simply packaging tap water and implying that it's mineral water. I believe there are other brands of theirs where they've ended up paying huge fines when they were found out.
the only reason we switched to the eco-bottle is because we are saving sooo much more money on PET resin(plastic). the water itself costs us close to nothing. its the packaging and bottleing materials that are expensive. so going from a 31 gram bottle to a 14 gram is a huge chunk of change for nestle. you still pay the same though.
thats funny because i buy cases of arrowhead water and recently the labels of every single bottle have been falling off. It's like they are trying to save money by using less glue or something.
i bought there water for years and years and now since they changed the bottles they smell. i have thrown out all Arrowhead bottles of water I had that was 3 cases and bought Pure Flo.. i just got to the point that I hated the taste of the water and now the smell.

Respond to this video... they water smells and now it taste horrible since they changed the caps and bottle. I bought there water for years and now i just threw out 3 cases of water and changed over to another water company. If i wasn't old I would go to the store and but it but I have to have it delivered.
Pretty ridiculous! Our whole world is plastic wrapped. It always amazes me the thought of having a permanent container for something as temporary as a single drink. Doesn't matter if it is water or a sports drink.
It's a symbolic gesture or advertising deception that accomplishes next to nothing towards really curbing our use of plastic. It is more interested in selling product than the environment. Now if it was an advertisement for purified water filling stations or some other scheme where people could reuse bottles that would be another thing.
Water sold in glass bottles would be more environmental, but really not effective.
perhaps its not the water companies that are the bad guy for using plastic. Perhaps it is really in the consumers hands for not littering and recycling more often. And yet that isn't a video you plan on posting now is it?
perhaps its not the water companies that are wasting plastic. perhaps it is the consumer who needs to do their part and not litter and recycle more often? and yet that video isn't being shown now is it?
