  • Wish I was there's

  • @1:09 JOEY RAMONE?;)

  • this actually is a long lost film of their 1969 Hyde Park performance.

  • interesting footage!

  • Я в восхищении! С детства мечтал на них посмотреть.

  • i expected terminator to sing

  • this is the studio version played against a film clip. Gimme a break.

  • @7mikethebike That's exactly what I thought. I don't know why this is so popular. I have the actuall audio, but I can't find it.

  • Hippies are gods way of saying fuck of hipsters.

  • 1:07 joey ramone?! OH MY

  • Great edit. Thanks for sharing.

  • mamma mia che pezaccio hohohoho da brividi

  • One of the few times that classic era Stones got COMPLETELY blown off stage by a support band. One of the first gigs I ever went to.

  • 00:59 Nazi helmet

  • Best 21:st century song.

Or...... was it 20'th when they made it ?

  • Is this Joey Ramones @ 1.06?

  • What the fuck was THAT???

  • It's great history !!!

  • that was fun

  • impresionante!!!!!!!!!! que material alucinante con Greg Lake, impresionante!!! , me quede sin palabras, alucinante, gracias loco por este temazo y este material!!!!

  • @JonBenet6 Yes, but he wasn't as important as Emerson and Palmer...and he told to Fripp, about his playng:"You can't sit down; you'll look like a mushroom''

  • SoundsEXACtLy like the record.

  • @sirlordmongus Take a guess why.

  • Damn... Greg Lake was a GOOD LOOKING man back in the day. This band was, and is, one of THE best progrock acts out there.

  • Wow Joey Ramone 1:06 :)

  • Greg Lake, before he ballooned out to about 350 pounds, made a smart career move when he jumped ship here and got onboard with Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer. Rusty chains of prison moons, indeed!

  • Lake is the most useless character of the whole progressive rock.

  • @ThePhilosopher1996 he contributed quite a bit in ELP, or did you forget?

  • I was there. The wind dislodged part of the stage decor and this fell on the head of King Crimson. He played on.

  • This is a great song, which kind of reminds me of a band I've heard a few days ago, Aperco. Hear the similarity at their channel apercoband

  • I love seeing all those hippie douchebags getting kicked in the nuts by The

    Mighty Crim !

  • @joctheviper1 Someone forgot there pills...

  • @paperpichu You'll find they'd taken too many, pills that is!

  • @joctheviper1 And the few proto-heshers in denim cuttoffs banging their heads!

  • @joctheviper1 I agree the stunned fucking lotus lickers showed just how un prepared they were for King Crimson! they were like " oh man is this the stones new sound???"

  • Everyone having fun

  • People were actually trying to dance to this......And the Hell's Angels were hilarious...Good stuff though

  • where did you get this from?

  • @MichaelHansenFUN In the "From the Begining" ELP DVD.

  • @paperpichu Could you upload the whole DVD?

  • @martin2sax I did. YouTube took some of it down though...

  • Killer song... The album is like aa

  • I was at this and think this was probably the best bit of the day especially at the mellotron crescendo in epitaph.

  • Greg Lake was hottt!

  • How did kanye think of the power sample listening to this? Dope music on Both sides though

  • those hippies have no idea what the hell just hit them lol :P

  • @Good the actual audio is out there....search youtube and include hyde park and you'll find it....nice....

  • I'm a little bit sad about mel collins, he played every week at harald schmidt(maybe a 21st century schizoid man) show in german tv...

  • Фрипп, Лэйк... НЕПОДРАЖАЕМЫ !

    Кримсон - кузница кадров !

PS: Грэг, как в воду глядел в конце 60-х. 21-й век действительно шизанутый...

  • Claimer: this song brings about awesomegoodtimes

  • ha ha 0:46 what was he thinking, or smoking jeez.

  • woodstock:)

  • wasn't the same without Greg...

  • 4 justin bieber fan give unlike..

  • this musta been like an English Woodstock.

  • I saw KC at Hyde Park in 1971. Jack Bruce played there that day. It was free then. Yes that's right FREE to get in. Crimson were a v sophisticated prog rock band and their work endures, as quality always does.

  • @squirglegog yep i was there too.many free concerts hyde park in the 70s,one in particular i remember was oz benefit for the up coming trials believe it was 4th july.was definitely there but have no idea who played, maybe you can enlighten me??

  • 0:13

    Looks like David Gilmour!

  • Greg Lake is my all-time favorite classic progressive rock master...aaahhhhhhhhh!

  • @larockeramenor LOVE Greg Lake!

  • @TheBellaemmamom Me too!

  • Would have liked to hear the actual audio instead of this chopped overdub :(

  • @goodolarchie check this! /watch?v=kVDvODUw7yo ;)

  • @goodolarchie /watch?v=wgfirIh0ej8

  • @goodolarchie I wish that too...

  • @goodolarchie errr.... its not an overdub...

  • @11kagE11 You're right, this is them in the recording it in the studio, since that's the version that's playing. They kindly asked the audience to STFU and had master sound engineers create invisible sound walls around the stage.

  • @goodolarchie One would assume that this was shot without audio! Super 8 was introduced in 1965, but not with audio until 1973.

Recording film with audio was not such an easy task back then, iPhoners! :) You'd need audio recorded separately!

It would be great to see all the singing synched up, and a 5 camera setup of the whole band, and a 10 hour documentary about what else was happening that day. Lord, that would be awesome. But I'm just glad someone cut this together at all! ROCK!

  • @muzboz I lie! How embarrassing! The same video can be found on YouTube with AUDIO! I just watched it.

  • @goodolarchie

    Here you go, my friend!

    watch?v=n56rtgtpwKA

  • This is what most people I saw in those days looked like. We are a nation of Walmart sweatwearers now. Pathetic.

  • @annikee59 kudos for that statement!

  • @annikee59 know what you mean, not ready to hang in the towel yet tho!!its allin the mind

  • WoW Greg Lake is a genious

  • The guy shaking his head at 1:07 looks like one of the Ramones.

  • @mtopper66 ...yeah, that's what I thought. I had to take a second look. !!!

  • And now Kanye has borrowed from them. Genius!

  • 1:06 Joey Ramone!!!!

  • @ironbuttermilk REALLY ?!?! for real, is that Joey, or are you being cute? ;)

  • @TheTastyNugget

    yeah, just funnin' ya. ;)

  • People DANCING to Schizoid Man! Pass me summa DAT shit! : )

  • Comment removed

  • awesome!

love their first album but not a fan of any other work

  • @k0stil I don't think you've ever listened to their other work. Try listening to In The Wake Of Poseidon, Lizard, and Islands. Only then should you open your mouth.

  • @MrClownbaby420

i listened to them and that was too psychedelic to me

  • Are you an idiot? Nowhere in any of their music are there even traces of psychedelia. You obviously didn't listen to them.
