  • If november december time throws you out almost every year, its nearly that time now. Hope everything runs smoothly for you this year round Blunty. With any luck the Nov-Dec issue will give you some respite this time round.

  • It's so that they can use toasters in horror movies as a weapon. lol idk

  • MELBOURNE FTW

  • 11 hours! Dang...!

  • november to december fucking sucks brother blunts

  • 5 isn't round.

It's so you can toast it quicker.

  • what does this guy actually do? Is he a freelance journalist?

  • um he started off making have decent shows.. now its just kind of pointless

  • in a way yeah, he does random stuff

  • Fishssticks :D

  • It should go up to 11..

  • crispy is how my sis likes her toast i like mine barley done

  • Blunty kinda looks like Atrus!

  • 7 is the most magical of all the numbers, every HP fan knows that.

  • My dad loves the full toaster setting! He loves his toast black. I don't understand why...

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, we have a super crappy toaster and to get it to toast a bagel it needs to be set on the highest to get anything at all ;) Hope you settle well in your new place.

  • i use the full setting to cook 'toaster-ready' frozen potato waffles

  • Nate

Thanks to the magic of black-n-white photography, you looked like the same buggy-eyed dude you always are instead of a hung-over git!

The high setting on the toaster is for frozen stuff. Or turning poptarts into flame-throwers. Whichever you'd prefer...

  • Mmmm... Sugary napalm filing...

  • Well awesome, you didn't see how I said "Good" as in marking it as a joke. But I guess some people just don't know how to read and laugh at the same time. Anyways, maybe if Blunty WANTED TO COME TO AMERICA, then he would feel better not dealing with people getting butt hurt because of a small little joke. Have fun Ninja boy, and learn how to laugh every once in a while.

  • the full setting is for cooking Bacon, what else?

  • I think the full setting is known as the "bath tub setting" lol.

  • Sydney is good, but even better than that is the Sutherland Shire.

  • Blunty, you are one of my favs on here. You are a down to earth guy, you got problems like anyone else, thank you for updating us :)

  • you need the power in the toaster to play the charcoal bread prank funny to pull when they expect a sandwhich.

  • 5 stars for post-drinking old school vblog

  • ever tried to gently crisp an english muffin on a lower than max setting

  • No, because English muffins are best under the grill.

  • never tried...might try now that you mention that it could be done on the grill

  • I have to use the max (6) setting + "frozen" to toast Vogel's toast to a nice golden brown. :-)

  • Hey Blunt

Now your in Syd go visit the Australian Film Television and Radio School in Moore Park, just catch the train to central and walk up the hill, they only finished building it like last year, so every things all shiny still ;)

  • what happened to those movie reviews that you used to do with your friends? they were always great!

  • bagels, frozen eggos, etc... :D

  • i like older men! Dont ask meh why i am telling you this

  • Hi Blunty3000 - thanks the awesome video on toast and cocktails - can't imagine anything nicer.

    Cheers!

  • I use the highest setting on the toaster fairly often when toasting bagels and it doesn't burn them. I guess my toaster isn't very powerful to begin with.

  • frozen bits of food that fit in the toaster

  • I like your videos, but i'm not sure whether they're worth hours and hours of uploading.....

5 sounds cheap, 10 complicated.... so they settled on 7.

Good luck with whatever you're doing

  • Crumpets. That's what you cook in a toaster for that long!

  • Well, I'll tell ya what, mate. Bugger any one place being all that. There are always folks what think their "country" is the greatest and others that think it's bollocks. And that applies everywhere. Problem is, wherever you go, someone there will hate you, some will want to abuse you. And some will want to be abused by you...

  • hook me up Blunty if you want cheers G

  • actually allot of us don't think that. it seems like people love to blame shit on "us americans"

well some of us are actually good quality people, so think next time before making a generalization about everyone in an entire country

  • Your B&W video on a hangover has a nice gritty quality. Very film noirish.

  • crumpits and bagels! :)

  • why not 11

  • Lol I know what you mean blunty, a month ago I drank for like 9 hours straight ...man did it fuck me up..I got alcohol poisining..bloody projectile vomited everywhere, funniest thing of the entire night tho was my friend passing out in the shower naked..lollollol.

  • blunty can you do me a favour and hammer telstra?

  • He should marry Natalie Tran.

  • crumpets take forever to really toast properly ... usually twice through the toaster

  • CRUMPETS

    kthxbye

    (full toaster setting)

  • congratz, to blunty gettin on track! (toast with milk now since youve had so much already)

-i think they chose 7 because 1-5 is edible (makes more sense/"round number")

  • so sydney or brissy better? would be interesting to see blunty review a city!

  • Your toaster goes up to seven? Bloody hell, mine goes up to twenty!

  • thermonuclear ROFL

You're right at the toaster thing

  • lmao i never noticed that about toaster kinda fucked up really

  • Awesome video, mate.

  • Woo, welcome to Sydney, Blunty! :) I'm out in the suburbs though, so I'm sure you'll find much more exciting things to do, but I still love living here.

  • I don't think 7 is the power setting. Most toasters don't have any power settings, the numbers usually represent minutes, thus it is used to toast the bread or whatever else you toast at the same temperature except for longer.

  • I loved the toaster thing. Very funny.

  • WOW.... nice, what you just want to start a fight, and thats the best you micosopic brain can come up with... well hey good job.

  • your the pot stirrer here mate

  • Nice! Drinking in sydney? Paddy McGuires? ehehhee

  • show us your house!

  • hello blunty, goodbye have a nice day

  • review mw2

  • So you moved from Launceston, to Melbourne, to Sydney.

    Bloody hell. O.o

If you don't mind me asking, why move? Just a change of scenery?

  • I've never lived in Melbourne. Stalker-fail

  • Gah! I meant Brisbane. You lived there, right?

and 'Stalker' would imply I've put any effort into finding this shit out :P

  • Just come to America Blunty... we would love to have you on the "Good" side of the world.

  • hehehe I'm sure your drinking buddies will fill you in on the embarrassing stuff you managed to do last night. Mine seem to do very well in remembering that stuff.

  • Toaster Strudel. Toaster Strudels do require that you cook the fuck out of them before the center part stops being a frozen mass of ick.

  • You live in Sydney, cool. My uncle lives in Sydney too I think.

  • 7 is a holy number, and the Word of God is the bread of life. thats why toasters go to 7

  • a havent been on youtube in about a year and its amazing to see how much he has changed since i have been away :)

  • The full setting on my toaster burns my crumpets. Which is weird, because 2 runs at three quarters doesn't burn them...

  • in germany there are little schnitzels you can make in your toaster, for those you have to use the highest setting^^

  • Odd. I can't seem to see the comment you left me :(

  • its for frozen slices of bread. you take a loaf out oof the freezer, you want toast there and then, so you put 2 frozen slices in the toaster, full power, and bingo, beautiful toast ;-)

  • ireland does rock =]

  • Blunty, what do you actually do for a job? I'm not sure how much income being a YouTube partner can make, but I've already assumed it's not enough to make a living from. So what do you do to make any money?

  • WHATS UP WITH DAH VIDEO TITLE???...

anyway, you dont have to apologize for not uploading often, make vids when you want to, dont get forced by fan fanatics... FANatics in this case...

  • well u watched it didn't u

  • wait are you Australian?lol Sydney suits you ...

  • My heater broke once, which resulted in me being huddled around the toaster.. Full settings of course.

  • as for the toaster... Crumpets :)

  • I have. It toasts it faster. I don't keep my toast in the entire time.

  • did you just say drink responsibly "KIDS"?

  • I did, now lets all read far to much into that, make assumptions and all have a big o'l knee-jerk ignorant fucktard reaction. yay

  • Hey blunty just wondering, did you put Boobs in your title as a sly jab at Shane Dawson?

  • ahah. you're awesome man. you should make more video game reviews. yours are always better than some fucktards' out there

  • for that matter, why do they have a 0 setting?

  • i hate when people apologize for not making enough videos ...

Just make videos whenever u want, blunty! nobody misses you THAT much.

  • Mine goes to 11. just like my guitar amp.

  • Good point. Fuck powerful toasters. Fuck 'em.

  • Must be one of those self-cleaning toasters, Blunty.

But for things that are frozen such as waffles, it does take a pretty long time to cook.

Spinal Tap fans, why does the volume go to 11?

  • For 11 hours, you're amazingly coherent. Well done.

  • Starting*

  • Glad to hear things are settling down again for you and that you are startgint o find Sydney a bit more homely, xD

  • thank u for saying that dude

  • What do you do for living? :P

  • Using a toaster more than once without letting it cool down has to have the setting turned up higher once you toast a couple times as the mechanical components inside the toaster are still hot, thus causing it to pop up much quicker before browning occurs. That number 7 setting has saved me lots of time while hungry children await their toast or pop tarts :)

  • Gluten free crumpets for my mum who likes a bit of charcoal on her toast. High water content, high specific heat.

  • so what was wrong with Brisbane? huh?

  • I second that. It's not so bad.

  • Thanks for uploading a new vid. Missed you, you're so funny! (Even though I'm from America, and you totally bashed americans in that one vid.) I'm totally with you on that toaster thing, makes no sense! Weird that my toaster maxes out at 7 also. And, on a final note, TythatAussieGuy is absolutely correct, I have a friend that drinks from the time he gets up until he goes to bed, runs his own business, and NEVER gets a hangover. I guess I'll see you the next time I see you. Cheers!

  • Well that high setting on the toaster can come in handy when you've had to much to drink. Not sure if it's true but I've heard burnt toast has a high amount of carbon that when ingested helps to remove the pollutants from your body after a long night of drinking. Or preferably before you go to bed. Seems to work from my experience!

  • o__________O

  • ive used the highest setting on my toaster to cook bagels before. its been so cold here that you have to crank the fucking toaster up all the way to cook it a reasonable amount of time.

but toasters are machines that lie so what should i expect. the number never cooks to the right color you think it would be.

  • The only reason I might ever use my toaster's highest setting (a 5) is because mine is crap and it'll, like, overheat. If I'm heating something in it, take that first piece out and put something else in it, I must put it at the max setting before the stupid thing decides "oh, well it's getting too hot and you don't want it burnt, do you?!" so I have to put it on the highest setting to keep it going and not pop up. Then if I'm lucky, it might lightly heat the next piece of bread or whatever.

  • Do a modern warfare 2 review.

  • why, everyone knowns it awesome! lol

  • Good to see that Blunty is still ok, if a little tipsy at the moment.

From a loyal fan, welcome back to cyberspace, and I hope everything falls into place as it should!

  • well im spanish and some traditional food we cook needs a high setting to toast. It doesn't burn because it is the amount it needs.

  • WHOA WERE HITTING 7 OH FUCK! OH GOD SHE ISNT GONNA HOLD!!!!!! OH GOD!!!! And blunty word of advice from a resident alco. Drink for 11 hours everyday whilst maintaining a job and you just stay drunk and have no hangover, it works a treat

  • When are you going to do interesting stuff again? Like lego n shite.

  • Does the fact that you're drinking yourself to rambles regarding toasters mean that you're happy to have moved in, or what?

Hope you're doing okay, Nate, we'd hate to lose you.

  • At least you didn't wake up on the roof of your house, dressed as Elvis... S'possible.

  • Watch that liver!!!

Good point on the toaster.I suppose the max settings are required when it gets old and doesn't toast as well,or if you happen to need it to use it as a heater.

  • At least you didnt wake up in a field Blunty. oh yes i have been there......

  • haha

  • My toaster goes up to 6, I never go to more then about 3.5

  • My toaster goes up to 10. I never use anything higher than 3.

  • Awesome new haircut Blunty! Hope you're settling into your new house well! :P

  • Frozen hashbrown patties put on the highest setting for two cycles makes for crispy fast numminess. And less oil/grease makes them a little healthier too if you are into that sort of thing. Plus... no frying pan to clean up afterwards. And personally, I think you look damn good for someone in your "condition" LOL Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

  • Frozen Potato Waffles

  • you don't look like hammered crap...... you look like silent bob ;)

  • My family buy bread in bulk rather than going every other day to buy some, so we freeze it to keep it fresh, and sometimes I use the top settings to make toast from frozen slices of bread... there you go Blunty you are now richer in knowledge xD

  • lmaooo i was laughing so much when he was tellin about the toaster.

  • nice

  • my toaster goes to 5 and it litlerly burns the crap out of toast on a minuite

  • i used the full setting on my toaster to cook sausages in onna those funky toaster bags and it was tasty and faster than the frying pan ^^

  • I work in a kitchen, and one of the waitresses liked burnt toast o.o...So meh that's the reason...She always said that the toast isn't good until the smoke turns blue xD

  • you can toast a slice of bread in 3 seconds with that setting!

  • mine goes up to 11, which is epic, and it's perfect for crumpets

  • my gose to 11...5 points if you get that one.

  • hey blunty are you ever gonna do a review for call of duty modern warfare 2

  • blunty = win

  • I feel your pain Blunty, those wireless internet 3G things suck.

  • >:D

  • Mine goes upto 8, seems to work semi alrite with frozen bread.

  • Believe it or not this vid is a gem for me. And not cuz you look like shit hehe. its unscripted and candid. Refreshing considering what the rest of your ilk are doing on youtube.

  • for bagles

  • LOL

  • lulz. that toaster oven rant had a good point to it

  • Apparently, some people... maybe a very small handful of people... like burnt toast. I can't fathom why, but...

Also, I hope everything falls into place for ya in your new home.

  • Don't drink and drive, you might hit a bump and spill your drink

  • good new cut! Hope all sorts out for you

  • nice

  • Blunty 3000 totally as interesting as boobs, but only when the boobs are turned all the way upto 7. Seriously though blunty, congrats on the succesful move to Sydney.

  • Out of all the changes in your life, you haven't mentioned the change of haircut - see? sharp eye here ;) I have a press on toaster - I use 7 to make toasts faster :P Damnit, didn't manage to steal your booze this time :/

  • Didn't think i NEEDED to mention it.... on video.... where people can see

  • I have used a toaster on full setting ;) and I'd urge people to try it, toast your potato waffles!!! normally 2 hits in the toaster will get them nice and golden brown.. sometimes 3 hits.. how energy efficient this is, i don't know, but i don't care either :D

  • I have used the toaster settings as high as they could go. Not for bread, but for those frozen breakfast pastries that are a real bitch to cook because it could be golden-burnt on the outside but still cold in the dead center of the pastry.

If anything, the better question is why hasn't there been a setting for that or, at the very least, making a toaster designed so that just a bit more heat goes to the center of what you're toasting. Higher settings are for frozen stuff or burnt toast eaters.

  • It cooks the bread more quickly and it has a release button.

This is handy if you're rushing around to get something down your neck.

Ever heard the term "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it."?

Asking a question while making the idea sound stupid doesn't make it stupid, it only means you don't want to answer it.

  • is the toaster the one where the bread goes in the top, or is it one that opens in the front?

  • toaster is the in-top, in scotland we call the one that open a toastie machine.

    :L

  • I heard a lot of things coming up, I did not however hear you say animations. Say you'll do one every once and a while please?

  • man blunty, you looked like hammered crap

  • i cook severed human hands on the super setting 8D

  • As for the toaster thing, it could be used to cook potato waffles, or pop tarts but only for 30 seconds, or something like that.

  • and thats why i switched to weed no hangover just lots and lots and lots of munchie breakouts.

  • Woot drinkinf for 11 hours nothing beats that unless it's 12 :D

  • I also had far too much to drink, let's high five!

  • "I had... far too much to drink." :D

  • My toaster goes up to eleven.

  • classic blunty

  • Sokay, Nate-- do what you've gotta do. We can't all be on point all the time.

Toasters-- I wondered the same thing about microwave ovens. Why the fark do we need a setting that turns a simple egg roll into a cylindrical brick? :)

    Henrik

  • I have used the full setting by mistake a few times. Granted on my old toaster it was the only way to get a slice of toast actually toasted.
